- ehaugan, on 05/30/2009, -12/+176Qiuck NBC, replace Jimmy Fallon while nobody is looking! PLEASE!
- RunDiggMC, on 05/30/2009, -7/+139I wasn't a huge Leno fan, but I definitely respect his career longevity, and he had plenty of shining moments over the years.
- Deputydon, on 05/30/2009, -6/+132Be Cool My Babies! Conan is only two days away!
- bblande, on 05/30/2009, -10/+110Can't wait for Conan. Open the first show with Triumph!
"Jay Leno was a pretty good guy............for me to POOP on!!!" - bixby1, on 05/30/2009, -11/+104Jay Leno is a staple of late night. I admit I grew up on Conan but Leno is a consummate pro
- inactive, on 05/30/2009, -7/+78Jay Leno should go on Letterman's show as a guest.
- ph0replay, on 05/30/2009, -2/+58Imagine Carson Daly got The Tonight Show... the world would cave in on itself in retardation.
- FlyinRyan89, on 05/30/2009, -2/+53interesting flashback there...
"...and if there's anything thats fun to do, it's replacing legends at NBC." - lucy22, on 05/30/2009, -4/+50I saw him live in Las Vegas 2 weeks ago. He is truly funny. I laughed so hard my jaw was hurting when we left.
He is a true comedian. - angrykeyboarder, on 05/30/2009, -9/+50Thats what they said about Conan for the first few years of his show as well.
- mongrel, on 05/30/2009, -0/+38That's why the funniest few weeks of his show were during the writers' strike, when he had to provide his own filler.
- alexacastrato, on 05/30/2009, -2/+35I attended his second "test" taping for the new Tonight Show with Conan and be COOL my babies! It's the same deal, but with Andy Richter again!!!!
And they changed up the year 2000, now it's IN THE YEAR 3000 - maj0rm0j0, on 05/30/2009, -5/+37Leno is a pro, but Carson was king.
- Mootabolife, on 05/30/2009, -1/+31Leno was a gentleman.. when he invited you on his show, it wasn't to attack you.
- sobe4u8k, on 05/30/2009, -3/+32True, but lightning doesn't strike twice. Especially for Jimmy "I can't keep a straight face" Fallon.
- bizchris, on 05/30/2009, -5/+28Um, yeah... if you think Jimmy Fallon is going to be the next Conan O'Brien comedy-wise, I've got some bad news for you...
- MaxxusFlamus, on 05/30/2009, -2/+23his little talk about what the true legacy of the show was- and ending his show on that note-
He could've ended the show on a little monologue but he ended it with the children of the people who made his show possible. You can't possibly get any classier than that. - ColonelJessup, on 05/30/2009, -4/+22What's the big deal? He's just moving down to 10PM...... It's not like he's retiring or anything. But it will be nice to be able to see Conan at a somewhat reasonable time...
- s4g4n, on 05/30/2009, -3/+21The ending with the first baby grown now 17 is just goes to show how much a family man he is.
- Xihix, on 05/30/2009, -4/+21Difference is that we know Fallon isn't funny from his years on SNL. Conan we did know was funny, as he was a great SNL writer and Simpsons writer.
- HA5TY, on 05/30/2009, -1/+16Was it just me, or did that girl look pregnant?
- UtahApocalyse, on 05/30/2009, -2/+17Don;t use quotes when paraphrasing. Especially when you quote it wrong. "I took over the the Tonight show from Johnny and it was #1 in late night. I left it in the #1 slot." I get my deposit back
- eMximeR, on 05/30/2009, -3/+17Cone Bone FTW
- alvination, on 05/30/2009, -2/+16It was a sweet ending with the kids. I always liked Leno, but I'm a mainstream kind of guy. Can't wait for Conan. Also, I wish Fallon was funnier...but The Roots is pretty awesome.
- inactive, on 05/30/2009, -7/+19Jimmy Fallon got Conan's old show..... the world HAS caved in on itself in retardation
- jask0, on 05/30/2009, -5/+17In the yeaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr 2000......and 9.
- Amadeus2490, on 05/30/2009, -0/+10Aww. . . Keeping it as In The Year 2000 was funnier, though.
- icyfire111, on 05/30/2009, -0/+9Letterman invited Leno to come on as a guest on June 1st but Leno declined since this would obviously hurt Conan's first show. I think he said that he would do it in the future though.
- medfreak, on 05/30/2009, -1/+9Correction: "Infinitely".
- Jackson0909, on 05/30/2009, -0/+8David Letterman comes to mind.
- jba68, on 05/30/2009, -0/+8How is it selling out, getting a prominent, well paying gig?
moving up or taking a slight left on the career path is not selling out. - quomen, on 05/30/2009, -0/+8I know most of digg hates him, but I love him. I've watched him on TIVO every day for who knows how long.
I highly recommend you guys watching the ending of the finale. It's beautiful. I don't know what else I can say about it. - inactive, on 05/30/2009, -9/+15Johnny Carson would wax the floor with Leno, Letterman and all the rest.
He had CLASS. - roxgod666, on 05/30/2009, -2/+8Yes he has class, but he is no where near as funny as Conan, sometimes even painfully boring. You only think he's the "king" because you grew up with him. In 40 years, everyone will say Conan is the king. Many people already do.
- Kashey, on 05/30/2009, -1/+6Jay has much better show....called http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/
- azureskies88, on 05/30/2009, -0/+5I keep telling myself that, but relying on a fluke is just not a good practice.
- sheil, on 05/30/2009, -2/+6http://www.nbc.com/The_Tonight_Show_with_Jay_Leno/ ... for the full episode. Not on Hulu yet.
- javiero, on 05/31/2009, -0/+4i have a few but theyre all made in mexico
- Vietrmx, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4You mean "makes him?"
- monkeyrun, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3LOL Conan looked so pale in 93.
- DThatsMe, on 05/30/2009, -1/+5He handled it well. End of an era but it's time for the Cone zone.
- syncan01, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4Canadian mirror, for the people who asked: http://tinyurl.com/dcb6ue
- wayenough119, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4I heard they're bringing that back in the first week
- gllopc, on 05/30/2009, -1/+5Do you think you'd hold yours me?
- gall0wsp0le, on 05/30/2009, -2/+6Jimmy Fallon has never been funny. Conan wrote for the Simpsons before hosting Late Night. He had the chops beforehand, he'd just never been on TV before. Fallon's been in movies and TV, and the whole world pretty much knows he sucks.
- pilot3033, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4Starting in Sep, Jay has an NBC Primetime "Variety" show at 10pm.
- Shawno1, on 05/30/2009, -1/+4It's always sad to see a talk show legend retiring...
But now a new era starts. - Sivaram, on 05/30/2009, -3/+6Jay is the Classic Stand-up comedian...
Man , I didn't miss a show for the last few months, and particularly this week, were everything was a compilation of the 17 year talk show..
Wasn't a fan of him until they started telecasting his shows here in India...
I wish he stayed here ..
I was glad though i had a chance to see all those years talk show in a nutshell during this week....
Goodbye Jay... We will miss you.. - bearcat8543, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3KEEP cool my babies
- MRavioli, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3I have to choose between Conan and Colbert every night now.
