- Arkanok, on 05/14/2009, -60/+455Digg me down if you will, but I'm rather glad to see Leno go, I wasn't much of a fan. Conan on the other hand, well he just rules late night talk shows.
- HeDiggMe, on 05/14/2009, -3/+321That will be 2 humongous heads hovering over one desk
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -9/+290Thank God he didn't book Jimmy Fallon.
- Egroh08, on 05/15/2009, -2/+195I really hope Conan doesn't gear down his goofy humor to appease the normal Leno viewers when he takes over for him.
- TheGreatBelow, on 05/15/2009, -10/+175Good way to pass the torch.
I, for one, welcome our Conan overlord! - luckytalisman, on 05/14/2009, -16/+136Jay Leno - always staying classy
- quomen, on 05/15/2009, -2/+113I have been giving Jimmy Fallon SO MANY CHANCES. I laughed out loud while watching him with my friends to try to get them to think that the show didn't suck. ..BUT it does.
God, his segments are so stupid. Key demographic? Also, he talks too much to his announcer.
I really went in watching with a clean slate, I TiVo'ed him every day, and I gave him multiple multiple tries. Now I only watch it at all for "slow jamming the news" and The Roots.
It's funny to see how many of his guests revere and respect The Roots... So much more than Jimmy. - HCviolence, on 05/15/2009, -19/+116Having Letterman be the last guest would have been way cooler.
- Hoogs, on 05/15/2009, -0/+86"Have ya seen this, have ya heard about this?"
- CaptObvious, on 05/15/2009, -2/+76I can't wait. Got a mean Conan withdrawal going on here.
- AlKo, on 05/14/2009, -0/+60That's why it's only for one night... the desk can't take the strain.
- osteor10, on 05/15/2009, -1/+60on his last show he said
"grow up" something something, i cant remember “That’s just not going to happen.” - dinuguan, on 05/15/2009, -17/+70Finally, a funny episode of Leno.
- drtitanium0, on 05/15/2009, -3/+52Any chance we'll get a surprise appearance of the masturbating bear?
- chicagojack, on 05/14/2009, -6/+52Guessing that NBC had some say in this
- Kookami, on 05/15/2009, -0/+44Conan O'Brien was Letterman's last guest and successor on Late Night as well, but YouTube's deleted the clip.
Edit: http://www.videosift.com/video/David-Letterman-wel ... - inactive, on 05/15/2009, -4/+47Jay would probably not have a problem inviting him. Leno has no feud with Letterman. It is purely a one side feud. Jay never says ANYTHING bad toward Letterman. It may have something to do with him trouncing Letterman almost every week for the last 16 years.
- OfNumbers, on 05/14/2009, -2/+43*Punches self in face* - Andy Richter
- DoctorX, on 05/15/2009, -3/+35Picture Jay's chin on Conan's massive head and try not to scream.
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -2/+34Fallon = Failin
- ray86, on 05/15/2009, -3/+34Letterman hates Leno he just won't openly admit it in public. When letterman was in hospital Jay wrote him a letter and Dave never replied back which annoyed the hell out of him. That along with Jay taking the Tonight Show which was rightfully for Dave.
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -3/+30so, you stay up to watch fake stupid people in the Jaywalk All Stars?
- hasahugedig, on 05/15/2009, -5/+32It seems like most diggers only liked one or the other, but I always liked both Jay and Conan.
- Laiden, on 05/15/2009, -1/+27In his last episode, he promised he wouldn't tone it down. He was very serious.
- RevJonathan, on 05/15/2009, -5/+29What I don't like is how fake it all feels. I never thought of him as a nerd before, and now he's trying to appeal to all of us. I like to think we appreciate talent over cheap shout outs like the Kevin rose and Alex Albrecht being on Late Nite.
Besides Craig Ferguson is so much funnier. - gerrylazlo, on 05/15/2009, -2/+24Conaan ooo'BRI yuuun.!
- bizchris, on 05/15/2009, -1/+23*insert unsubstantiated perspective on the relationship between Leno and Letterman*
- zeroFoOL, on 05/15/2009, -1/+20leno isnt going anywhere, hes just moving time slots to like an hour earlier...
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -0/+19hey at least you don't have to stay up so late any more, Jimmy Fallon is a good reason to turn the tv off, haha.
- kh99, on 05/15/2009, -3/+21I agree, so far it sucks. I think he tries to be "low key" during his comedy bits, but to me it comes across as looking like he doesn't want to commit to them because he doesn't think they're funny. Conan's stuff wasn't that hilarious but he could sell it.
- CityandColourrr, on 05/15/2009, -5/+23I've never been a fan of Jay Leno. Some people love him, but I've never found him funny at all. Maybe it's the personality, or the way he is. Conan on the other hand - Brilliant.
- quomen, on 05/15/2009, -13/+31Letterman can be such a douche. I know he's a very funny man, but Jay is so much more of an endearing figure to watch. I'm young, 21, and I watch him every day. It beats the hell out of most other things on TV.
- keithnoir, on 05/15/2009, -3/+19I'm not a big fan of leno, but this is a classy move.
- harpoonhank420, on 05/15/2009, -6/+22JIMMY FALLON SUCKS SO BADLY
- rentmitchum, on 05/15/2009, -0/+16lol when I did, I saw Quagmire.
- CityandColourrr, on 05/15/2009, -2/+16Well, at least I can speak English and type a sentence that makes sense.
- danielrh9, on 05/15/2009, -3/+17I was lucky enough to attend a taping of Late Night with Conan back in NYC around a year ago. I'm SO glad I went, I even got to shake Conan's hand. It was too much awesome to consume.
- lolwatermelon, on 05/15/2009, -1/+15"and that Letterman is completely justified."
There's a point during a fight where you need to realize that continuing to be angry isn't going to change anything. - Akumajin, on 05/15/2009, -1/+14you are the reason that joke sucks now
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -3/+16Well, Jay sort of had no choice without looking bad. When he took over for Johnny, his bitch manager tried to force NBC to have Jay on as the last guest but Johnny had different plans. She threw a hissy fit over it. And Jay was too manager-whipped to do anything. So he would look kind of hypocritical if he didn't offer the same thing. Esepcially with him getting the prime time show.
- NegativeDigg, on 05/15/2009, -2/+15Flooded in a sea or red and gray hair....
- BILLYBOBJOEBOB, on 05/15/2009, -0/+13The difference between Conan and Fallon is that that was Conan's first time on TV... Jimmy Fallon's been on TV forever and has never really been hilarious.
- FishHammer, on 05/15/2009, -0/+12The irony is if we murdered people who weren't funny, TruthKid would have been dead a long time ago.
- nick2, on 05/15/2009, -2/+14YES!!! I received four tickets to the final show from NBC. This is going to be one awesome show to attend.
- tf2medic, on 05/15/2009, -0/+11Someone... but not me. I'll get yelled at.
- BrownieMix, on 05/15/2009, -3/+14King Kong meets Godzilla, Sonic meets Mario, Jackie Chan meets Jet Li, and this happens....
- danielrh9, on 05/15/2009, -3/+14GIVE ME CONAN OR GIVE ME DEATH
- mouseshoes, on 05/15/2009, -0/+11His show would be so much better if he just let The Roots play a full song to open the show.
- Rain12913, on 05/15/2009, -1/+12The word 'need' just completely took over your sentence.
- quomen, on 05/15/2009, -0/+11Yes. Lets advocate murdering the people that you don't think are funny.
Oh, TruthKid.
Grow up and learn to get a joke that's not proclaimed by spongebob. -
