- revenge7, on 10/12/2007, -4/+85Parasite was the best episode in a long time. But now they leave us with a HUGE cliffhanger, and expect us to wait 5 WEEKS to see what happens? Well, you know what, I am not even going to watch the next episode.
Oh, who am I kidding. Of course I am. - antistupid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+73I'm more annoyed that Mohinder didn't just give Sylar 2 to the body, 1 to the head when he had a chance. He broke the oldest rule in comic book history: Never disclose your plan to your enemy when he is incapacitated. Simply kill him and get it over with. :(
- datechoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+69I wonder how would Mohinder feel hanging up there for 7 weeks ;)
- commiecat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+44"Parasite was the best episode in a long time"
A week is not a long time. "Company Man" owned. Little Hiro playing GameBoy, tons of reveals, effective flashbacks, a good dose of Mr. Muggles and the OMFG-that's-so-sad ending?! I'd say that all the episodes have been really good since "Homecoming".
Damn the waiting! - NeoCortex, on 10/12/2007, -2/+41It's gets best episode status so far with a single scene: Nathan knocking out Nikki/Jessica. I mean, who didn't love that?
- geoken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+38@antistupid
I'm with you there. I mean, what was the point of extracting Sylar's spinal fluid, then sitting there and doing DNA and genome testing on his laptop while one of the most dangerous guys in the world is sitting in the same room. Did he really have that much confidence in his little writ-strap equipped wooden chair?
"Hi, I'm Mohinder. I know you are one of the most powerful mutants in the world, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume that this little chair and this syrum is going to restrain you indefinately, even though I really have no clue as to your true powers." - ArmyOfFun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+37'I'm sure this "with the wound healing up just as fast. Then Sylar would get a surprised look on his face" will happen, it's just in the next episode.'
Maybe, but maybe not. Remember when future Hiro mentioned that Peter looked different without his scar? Maybe this is how he got it. - whiskeymb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+37of course they have a huge cliffhanger before the break! And I'd say Company Man was pretty good. In fact, I can't really think of any bad episodes off the top of my head.
If you had told me 6 months ago that there was any show I would consider better than BSG and 24, I would have laughed... but seeing as how both shows are falling off from their once great reign of primetime TV, Heroes has taken over as the can't miss show for me. - SparQy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35I like all of the episodes that don't focus on the girl in the mirror junk.
- CoSMoSYS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31Does anybody else remember in one of the first few episodes where Mohindar and Peter are talking on the subway and then everything stops and future Hiro comes out and tells Peter to "Save the cheerleader, save the world"? During their conversation Future Hiro says something to Peter along the lines of, "You look different without your scar."
I'm guessing Peter gets a nice scar from that slice to the head Sylar is providing and that he survives it.
Just thought that was interesting - ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30So the question does not remain ...
- ArmyOfFun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweeps#.22Sweeps.22
They're just timing new episodes for when the advertisers will be paying closer attention. - Screwy1138, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29Peter was surprised, and doesn't have as much control over the powers as Syler does.
I'm sure this "with the wound healing up just as fast. Then Sylar would get a surprised look on his face" will happen, it's just in the next episode. - Schda, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30I like the idea of the cliffhanger. It's sort of like a play. You have three acts with a bit of an intermission between them. Act 1 introduce the characters, Act 2 introduce the conflict, and Act 3 the resolution. It's only 6 or so weeks, plenty of time to get excited for Act 3.
- EnzanBlues, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Why not? If no one knows about the show and no one watches it, it will be cancelled. I think I would have a heart attack if they cancelled Heroes, thank god it's not on FOX.
- KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23"Parasite was the best episode in a long time."
It was pretty awesome, but I think "Company Man" (the episode just before "Parasite") was just a little better, I mean how cool was it when Claire came out of that explosion all charred with blackened fried hair.
Just my opinion - robotsongs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Can anyone explain to me why the hell they have this ridiculous schedule of run-a-couple-new-episodes-then-stop-for-2-months?
Makes not a dime of sense to me-- it would see they'd actually loose viewers interest with this, at least the moderately interested viewers.
anyone? - sorahn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+227 weeks. it doesn't come back till april 23rd :(
- myFriendDerrik, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23On the topic of Future Hiro saying Peter looks different without his scar: Peter CAN'T scar if he has Claire's power. Claire got an AUTOPSY performed on her with no lingering scars. Either there is some limitation to the healing power we haven't seen yet, or the future Hiro was from was an alternate time line where they DIDN'T save Claire and Peter never got her power. Which is a whole other can of worms.
- 4degrees, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21sylar and peter do NOT have the same power. sylar has been near others before without killing them and never got the power, but peter always does.
peter can absorb and recreate others powers. sylar has to kill them and take the power from their brain or something. if you remember when sylar first met mohinder's dad; he told him that he didnt think he had a power. sylar later discovered his power was in figuring out how things work, he was a watch repair man. It is fuzzy just how sylar extracts the powers from others but it does involve killing them and having a look at their brain.
it is similar to that "Dark Harvest" episode of Invader Zim. - sonochamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+182 Reasons:
#1 the 2-hour season finale is still being filmed, so filming is still in progress. It'll take a little bit of time in post.
#2 (and probably the MAIN reason) February sweeps are over. Now they'll come back in the last week of April and air their shows through May sweeps.
In the age of Tivo and growing On Demand content, why do the sweeps even matter? Who knows, but they definitely need to change the system. I can't go the next 7 weeks without my crack... um... I mean Heroes fix.
Edit: Thanks for beating me and icealchemist to the punch, ArmyOfFun. - sonochamp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18@schda
Who needs 6 weeks to get excited over Heroes? It hasn't even been 24 hours and I'm excited right now!! - bugninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Peter is my favorite character on the show. Every time he's in trouble I cringe. I have no doubt that he'll just heal and use Sylar's powers against him. After-all, he's been training himself for a while, learning how to control his powers. Sylar still can't control his hearing ability which shows that he doesn't spend the time really learning about his powers, he's just greedy, and doesn't stand a chance against Peter.
- JPPiper, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18So the question remains
If Peter can absorb the powers of others around him, then technically he ought to be able to absorb ALL The powers that Sylar has accumulated and be more powerful than Sylar! - scuvball, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Wow... what an excellent end to this run of episodes. Company Man and Parasite were by far the best two episodes of the show thus far.
- EnzanBlues, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15You sir are an idiot and will be dugg down to death for being so.

Well it is television so I'd say it's placed in the right category and maybe you should disable the Television section, then everybody is happy - Screwy1138, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I think we'll get answers, this season too. The writers have made it very clear they have some issues with Lost.
- aldenhg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Amen. I was really hoping we could just be finished with Sylar once and for all. If all he wanted was some spinal fluid, why couldn't Mohinder just take it after he had killed him?
- monkeyrun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Peter already absorbed Sylar's powers, Peter might be able to kill him, or at least escape from him.
And Peter could be the one who cut off Issac's skull. - holzp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13They did save her, this ain't Lost. Setup -> Resolution -> Setup...
- Septimus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13If anyone who has mentioned the scar Peter gets which future Hiro mentions... remember in that future he never managed to save Claire, so he wouldn't have her power, thus the scar. Also in that future NY is destroyed but Peter is still alive, so it's unlikely to be him that caused it as he couldn't heal if he did 'go' nuclear.
In this time line he has saved her so he won't scar from this. - Kypt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10The way I see this Sylar and Peter are the perfect nemesis for each other. They're both the same and completely different at same time. One is "natural evolution" while the other one would be considered an abomination. In essence both can obtain numerous abilities, but one is nature's answer to it, while the other one is man's greed to it. I LOVE IT!
- AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11@schda
I think the idea is that nobody needs more time to get excited. A six week intermission? No! We want it NOW! - Screwy1138, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12I can't believe the wait... that really sucked.
- Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Peter may be emo, but he's not evil. I highly doubt that he'll kill anyone unnecessarily, since he can get their powers through nonviolent means. Keep in mind he was a nurse/caretaker for a while - he's got a kind heart... he's just emo about it, that's all.
- audiowizard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10For all of you theorizing, and wondering exactly how Sylar assumes the powers of others from their brain, I can tell you. I also have this ability, although I do not use it, for it is just too digusting.
He has to cook their brain noodles and season them with Top Ramen BEEF flavor, must be the beef packet, which allows the cells in his body extract the 4 DNA components which makeup the blueprint for their power.
See? - leer317, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9So if Sylar ends up getting Peter's powers, then he wouldn't have to kill people anymore to get their powers... Thus, his murderous rampage will no longer be necessary. Yay!
However, I'm thinking that Sylar will end up being bamboozled with how Peter actually works, since it seems that Peter is more highly evolved than Sylar is.
That's, of course, if he even gets a chance to see Peter's brain. :P
Can't wait! - meshman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I stopped watching TV 3 years ago when I could download everything. But I came out of my TV hideaway when Heroes started. I have followed it and it has kept me watching BUT!!!!!
If this turns into another "X-Files" no answers but more questions kind of thing, I'll... I'll... post pointlessly on message boards like this one registering my disgust around the world. No, really, I hope they don't turn this into another dead end tease. Save the damned cheerleader already! - lasombragh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Watch the show.
- pseudologue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8No one is forcing you to watch. In fact, I'm sure Charlie Sheen's show will tide you over during that hour.
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Keep in mind Sylar's paranormal power is beyond normal physical harm. We can presume that he would indeed have been able to kill the Claire, or else there would have been no need to protect her. Peter's regenerative abilities will likely help him in his fight against Sylar, but it by no means will protect him completely.
- joaob, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11spam spam go away
- holzp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8This looks good, I saw a older looking Claire and Future Hiro coming face to face with now Hiro.
- icealchemist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8It is so the show is still on or ending during May sweeps. They want to have good numbers so they can get more money from companies to air commercials. It is always about money.
Damn you ArmyOfFun, you beat me :( - spookshowbaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6That wasn't an older looking Claire. That was Claire with her hair dyed brown because she's in hiding.
- radda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6When on the internet, always make sure you know what the ***** you're talking about, lest you face ridicule. Also: LOL OPINIONS!
(spoiler: Niki's power is super strength. The split personality thing is just her odd way of controlling it...or not controlling it rather.) - babaduchi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9what???// why such a long wait???
also did anyone notice future claire in the preview? she's complete hotness, and legal,... well, in that timeline at least. :D - KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Back story, drama, love triangles, building to climatic point, yada, yada, yada. A better question would be how long can a 'Prison Break' really take.
- myFriendDerrik, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Too disgusting? Are you crazy? Beef Top Ramen is way better than chicken.
