- edvl, on 04/28/2008, -3/+72Anyone else annoyed seeing that stupid "after the jump" everywhere?
- smotpoker, on 04/28/2008, -5/+59Not gonna look at this thing because I hate spoilers but did anyone else notice the Enterprise serial number on the door that Chief, Ty, etc were meeting in? (1701D)
- MadOgre, on 04/28/2008, -5/+49BSG = AutoDigg.
- FearFactory, on 04/28/2008, -1/+45Everyone is a cylon
- Jimgress, on 04/28/2008, -5/+44Battlestar Galactica is doing so well this season. It's honestly the best thing currently airing on tv. I can't possibly see how anyone could disagree with the sentiment, but oh well.
- radink360, on 04/28/2008, -4/+38There's no spoilers in the article.
- alpha_male76, on 04/28/2008, -0/+32Hell yeah!
Not sure what it means, maybe its just an homage...
but it jumped right out at me., I was thinking, omg. that is just so obvious... and then I realized what a nerd I am .....and poured another drink,.... and wept... ...alone... - inactive, on 04/28/2008, -1/+28GOD, YES. Attention all bloggers: you are not broadcast media, and emulating the old "more after these important messages" doesn't make you sound important or established. Besides, we all use Adblock anyway, so for us, there often is no jump.
- gregkr, on 04/28/2008, -0/+25Any thoughts on whether they're going to actually resolve this in 2008? I've seen speculation that season 4 will be split in two and not complete until next year!
- jaredcat, on 04/28/2008, -0/+23It was an homage. Ron Moore, exec. producer for BSG, used to write for Star Trek: TNG and DS9. If you listen to the podcasts, Ron often compares the Galactica's predicament to that of the Enterprise, or compares how Picard or Riker would handle a situation compared to how Adama or Starbuck handle the situation in BSG.
- loggia, on 04/28/2008, -5/+27No. The clues on Galactica were actually worked out in advance. As opposed to just making ***** up and then coming up with explanations for it later.
- Evolutuon, on 04/28/2008, -4/+25Its a shame I suppose, that I never got into this series.
- usrlocalbin, on 04/28/2008, -3/+23I've got such a raging clue right now.
- novenator, on 04/28/2008, -1/+18never too late to start my friend. i started midway into the 2nd season and backtracked.
- trogdor282, on 04/28/2008, -1/+17BSG gives me a raging clue.
- bbqsalad, on 04/28/2008, -1/+15whoever dugg you down for that simple question should have there teeth knocked out,..
But yeah I believe that is what is happening.. half season this year.. rest in 09'.. pretty ***** considering we had to wait so damn long just for this season to start... - InfamousAtheist, on 04/28/2008, -0/+14Every friend I turn on to it gets addicted. Best thing Sci-Fi has ever done.
- stukkm, on 04/28/2008, -1/+15Beets.
- sephorous, on 04/28/2008, -1/+13Why did they show a picture of Cally's dead face towards the end of the article? Is there a clue to be found in her necrotic face?
- jcastillo81, on 04/28/2008, -1/+13I think the lawyer that vanished and mysteriously left his walking cane behind after Baltar's trial has a role to play still...
- ByrcheWroot, on 04/28/2008, -0/+12I was going to keep my Comcast television service just for BSG until I discovered hulu.com. And the quality is actually better. Frak Comcast.
- coondog35, on 04/28/2008, -8/+19Bears beats Battlestar Galactica!
- kipmartin, on 04/28/2008, -0/+10thats how i felt about your mom. everyone said she was the best but once i got her undies off, her orang-utan ass turned me off.
- Roger, on 04/28/2008, -1/+11Short answer "yes" with an "If", long answer "no" with a "but".
- Icyfenix, on 04/28/2008, -0/+10You would doubt it.
Cylon. - novenator, on 04/28/2008, -0/+9There might be more clues buried than ppl think. The CGI animators really put their best into this series, are clearly inspired by their own awesome artistic creations, and are likely privy to confidential info disseminated from writers meetings. Add in human nature, and boom, there you have it, easter eggs.
- Tyr7BE, on 04/28/2008, -1/+10Yes we do all use AdBlock. At least I've never met a single person who knows about AdBlock and doesn't use it.
- regeya, on 04/28/2008, -0/+8Yeah, the Galactica writing staff seems to have found its space legs again. Thank goodness; thanks to this post-strike desert of stupid reality shows, Galactica is about the only game in town.
- Yanaran, on 04/28/2008, -2/+10Interesting details that I hadn't noticed.
Buried for "after the jump". - djuniah, on 04/28/2008, -1/+8Stop sounding so self righteous and "knowitall" cause your WAY off. Its not about ads.
The "after the jump" is used for RSS feeds. If you look at the rss feed, the last thing you read on an article on the feed is "after the jump." This is done to save bandwidth and space so that the entire article is not bloating up the RSS feed. It also gets people to actually visit the site (true, probably for ad reasons), but if everyone just grabbed a sites RSS feed and noone went to the site itself, what is the point of having it at all? (i know that was a little extreme, but its true) - alphabetagaga, on 04/28/2008, -0/+7You just took me on a half hour Mel Brooks YouTube trip. I love and hate you for this.
- kipmartin, on 04/28/2008, -2/+9you can watch it via downloads or DVD. its worth it. go to a BG fan site to find eoisode orders and read up on backstories, chronolohies, etc.
you knew all this, but im just saying, its really really worth it. - BionicPimp, on 04/28/2008, -1/+8Q: Is Battlestar Galactica Full Of Clues?
A: yes.
did we really need a clue to figure that one out? It's a television show...they *all* have clues...also known as plot devices. - philomatic, on 02/08/2009, -1/+8Yea cause the last 4 cylons they revealed didn't seem completely pulled out of their ass...
- julianp, on 04/28/2008, -2/+8I think I feel a raging clue coming on right now.
- darny, on 04/28/2008, -2/+8I am so annoyed that I'm even starting to get annoyed at people getting annoyed about it in the digg comments. I'm sure there are even diggers out there that are even more annoyed about me saying how annoyed I am about you being annoyed.
- Turambar, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6i did that with about 6 other people.
the other people in the room had to wait for us to explain before they called us nerds :-P - inactive, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6That's annoying.
- utahcanuck, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6Yeah, don't show any patience for a series that is by far the most watchable series on television. And definitely don't wait even one or two episodes to develop characters...then the show could make it to network TV!
- NeoCortex, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6Yeah, it's getting real annoying and overused.
- Dochtuir, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6Leoben didn't know who the final five were, so his statement was just to try trick people.
- cjacks9, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6The real question is: When will Dirk Benedict make a guest appearance?
- mercano, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6Well, if you look at a basestar from above...
- Wonderama, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6I figured they were just waiting to spin up the FTL drives.
- Balath, on 04/28/2008, -0/+5Oh man, I thought I was the only one.
- KSUdesigner, on 04/28/2008, -0/+5"After the jump" doesn't really refer to the fact that there is an ad in the middle of the page. It's used if you're looking at the blog's main page or RSS page where there is only a small part of the article shown, then you click something like "read more" to go on. That is the jump.
I still agree that it's annoying as hell though. - blinkin, on 04/28/2008, -0/+5The whole "omg Starbuck painted teh Ship of Lights" thing is reaching. If you look at the mural again, the object that everyone says is the SOL is actually the comet she mentions in her "where I've been" monologue.
As for the Seraphs, I did not watch the original series, but from what I understand, Baltar's Six and Caprica Six's Baltar seem to satisfy the Seraph/Iblis analogue for this series (though which is which I can't tell for sure yet). And if you saw this past week's episode, then you know that at least Baltar's Six has direct influence over the physical world, something that has been hinted at previously but not confirmed. - Matteos, on 04/28/2008, -0/+5You wept alone with 6 other people?
- linkdj, on 04/28/2008, -1/+6Something's gotta happen, there are only what, 15 episodes left?
