That part makes me a tad worried. I don't mind pseudoscience on something like lost, where at least hopefully people aren't taking it seriously. I've lost track of the number of series I've seen where the public actually did mistake what was presented on it as science though. I wouldn't mind so much, but funding and bans on technologies in large part get determined by fickle public opinion.
