Do you know how many X-Men there were? Pretty much the only thing missing from that universe was "Doesn't-Have-To-Defecate-Man." ;) - ZennZero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+98@falstaff
Not so fast -- I give you Maggott:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maggott - TheSaladMan, on 10/12/2007, -5/+87Not sure about those other shows but Heroes is ***** awesome
- Yurimanna, on 10/12/2007, -21/+71Hey maybe now the writers can try to invent a power someone hasn't had yet in X-Men!
- JuyLe, on 10/12/2007, -6/+52YATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!
- LegalSatire, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32You can watch all the episodes, legally, online at http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/
It'll give you a chance to catch up for the second season. Enjoy! - wild, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Like this was a surprise. Awesome to confirm though. Really is a great show that has good drama without being too nerdy. And since it makes up its mythology as it goes, it is not saddled down by the stuff that makes ther shows like Smallville confusing and off putting to a larger audience.
- dagobah77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24I wish Sylar would hurry up and eat Nikki's brain.
- medlzk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Then let's all watch Heroes and download 24, screw Fox.
- tdp05, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22@medlzk. Exactly.
I'm still pissed at them for cancelling Firefly and Arrested Development. - jrefenes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20I am a HUGE fan of Heroes. However, I'm curious as to how the show will do in a 2nd season.
I believe that half of the appeal to the show are these people discovering their powers, and finding each other to band together. I wonder if this theme would continue with a whole new set of characters in the next season, or if suddenly we'd start having super-villians, and a "Justice League" or "X-Men" band of heroes. I'm not so sure about how the latter would be recieved. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Nikki is the worst character possible.
- smcavoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Proof?
- OmegaNine, on 10/12/2007, -5/+21I just assumed it was. I mean...It made them a lot of money, and buzz for it was huge.
- shockwavedave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Heroes wasn't written for a single season. Creator Tim Kring has already stated that they have several seasons worth of ideas ready to materialize.
- vafada, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Lies! water killed the woman this week!
- chatwithaninja, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12thats great! Here's to hoping that "new story ideas" isn't a bad thing, and the show doesn't go the direction of Lost. Have a story arc and stick to it. Otherwise you will get blindsided by "We are a success? Oh crap, now what do we do? Stall for time!"
- jake8689, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10well 24 has had the same plot since it'd creation....it's like their playing add lib with other then a few things here and there but here's the plot....blow up_____,Jack comes from(a)_______,_____is a double agent,______ dies's
- DJShay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I know what you mean. While I love the series, I am concerned about how they'll keep the freshness and excitement going for another season. It looks like this season is building up to a HUGE conclusion and I'm worried they'll have nowhere to go. I kind of like the idea of one season series, but with more episodes. I usually get bored with a show after 1 or 2 seasons. Except BSG.
- flyingfox23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10@ thatsmyaibo
Season 1 isn't over yet, it took a hiatus and continues starting Monday! Just thought it seemed like you were not aware of this, as it seems you weren't judging from what you said.
Have a good day! lol - akshah123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Well, no they were not advertising for the second season. The first season is not yet over. The second half of the first season will start off on jan 22nd.
- nagaisu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9ZennZero's on the ball man. The Marvel Universe has some really retarded characters.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird-Brain - devo6273, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Yeah, I just wish it wasn't on the same time as 24. Just means one of them has to be downloaded and watched later.
- oldman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7It might have a some trouble as Fox is putting 24 against it.
- monospaced, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Was there speculation that the show wouldn't continue on to a second season?
- jrefenes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I cannot imagine how anyone could watch 24 on a week by week basis. The show is far too intense, I would go nuts having to wait a week to see what happened next. However, in DVD form, the show is amazing. Right now I'm about to get started on Season 4 :)
- chicbicyclist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6And oxygen is actually killing all of us, albeit slowly.
- Heiliger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5As cool as this news is, I am still saddened by how each exclamation of "Save the cheerleader, save the world" results in me getting a wedgie.
This is America, people. I'm running out of briefs with good elastic. - GrimRage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@devo6273:
C'mon, get yerself a dual-tuner DVR. Recording two shows at the same time while you're watching another show you previously recorded is a great feature. - MacPPC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@thatsmyaibo
Season 1 hasn't ended yet they have only aired 11 of the 23 episodes so far, so there's plenty of time there to see more action. - itsHef, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I wish they could get a better time slot than on Monday though. Still, awesome.
- boypinoy18, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3what happened to grimrage? get the sand out of your vagina, tough guy
- kylemech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3And there was much rejoicing.
- monosyth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3the 4400 was great. then season 2 came. let's hope its not the same for heroes.
- Heiliger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3But GR, the mantra "Are you on the list?" or even "TheyhavetokeepPeterandTedapartcausetogethertheywillcausetheatomicexplosionpredicted" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Ow... just got another one... Not even safe in the cubicle. - monosyth, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5better question is does claire bennett's hand blend...
- vaxguru, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is great news. I hope the 2nd season maintains the very high standard of the 1st season.
- SaintArium, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3honestly why do people watch 24? its so repetitive.... yeah the first season was interesting, if not absurd, but I liked alias because it was an absurd spy show. 24 never held my interest except when they had call backs to other spy shows like Nikita... Heroes is by far a much more rounded series if not more realistic (character wise).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I felt the same way about Prison Break, like they had no idea what to do if the show became popular. The second season was a bit better but I couldn't shake the feeling of Season 1 2nd half being "thrown" together.
- ronfez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Season 1 2nd half retooling seems to happen a lot on Fox.
- vafada, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2cuz its in the same timeslot as '24'.
Heroes and 24 are two of the best shows in TV right now, IMHO, and they are in the same Monday time slot which sucks.
and no, not everyone has a DVR and yeah i hate watching a TV show on my laptop. - warchant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2best show on tv
- dingdingding, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@SaintArium
I think 24 is boring too. I got tired of watching them fight terrorists. If I ever make a nuke I wont make a make it have a countdown clock on it. LOST is just more mystery every week. No answer is their answer. Like a handjob without relief. Heroes almost got it - but it is still a bit too slow for me. Don't turn it into a superhero-soap. They better shape up.
I liked Alias - party and fight of the week - took me back - KingErroneous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I disagree, there is the right number of characters. I have no problem following the different backstories, and you have to realize that the upcoming episodes will have them all coming together. Also we already lost one character (Eden) and will probably lose more.
- Kaglan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not a fan of 24 either -- I think there's such a thing as _too_much_ intensity. Twenty-four is like an email! Where the writer uses exclamation points after everything! As if everything were amazing! And maybe at first, it was! But do you really want read this!?
Also, it's a very hero-worshippy show (ironically unlike heroes). But a lot of people like it, so, good for everyone. - ChemEng, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Works for American Idol pretty well...
- chicbicyclist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I was actually more surprised it took them this long to announce a second season. Hopefully, it's just for the publicity because Heroes returns this Monday and not an indication of NBC loving.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Doesn't surprise me that they renewed. One of the better sci fi shows to hit the air lately.
- bioskope, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Jack Bauer vs Claire Bennet
Oh yeaa!!! - JESUSREAM, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2My water just broke, wheres aquaman?
