- painting, on 02/10/2009, -1/+42a comic book about people with powers?? nah, it'll never work.
- painting, on 02/10/2009, -3/+40I love the part where the show continues to run in circles for an hour and nothing really happen. I also love how theres always a psychic that tells them whats going to happen, then, it happens. WOW!
- AnarchoGoth, on 02/10/2009, -5/+35I miss 4400
- kss42, on 02/10/2009, -2/+29Does it have the goddamn Batman?
- rstarr, on 02/10/2009, -4/+24Parkman using his power in a fit of rage to control a soldier's mind forcing him to gun down his own isn't gritty enough for television?
My mistake. - Ridonkulus, on 02/10/2009, -1/+16You know what I'm sick of? Not having Arrested Development making episodes anymore.
- s0m31john, on 02/10/2009, -1/+15Get out of my head! I was coming here to comment about The 4400.
- mtnlion2, on 02/10/2009, -2/+15None of you are reading the article. This is about Powers, Brian Michael Bendis' first comic series, being made into a show on FX. Which is an amazingly wonderful thing.
- WafflePirate, on 02/10/2009, -8/+20Definitely 100 times better than Heroes. Heroes absolutely went downhill after a little while.
- pintocat, on 02/10/2009, -2/+14Was a much better show... Heroes is just Marvel re-packaged, with the added bonus of dead characters coming back to life every few episodes.
- fedak, on 02/10/2009, -4/+14Heroes Season 1 was reasonably worthwhile, albeit an X-men ripoff
Heroes Season 2 was borderline unwatchable.
Heroes Season 3 is a mortal insult to the intelligence of anyone dumb enough to still be watching it.
1) It is extremely difficult to hold together a plot with unrestricted time travel. Heroes fails *miserably* with this.
2) I strongly suspect the even the writers have completely lost track of who has what powers.
3) The pretentious Mohinder voiceovers are quite possibly the most excruciatingly painful moments on television. - RobotKeaton, on 02/10/2009, -0/+7Why digg down? It's part of the same panel.
- Frankyfan3, on 02/10/2009, -1/+8YES! Powers is such a great series, easily translatable to the screen.
I just hope they do it justice. - pseudologue, on 02/10/2009, -3/+9Holy *****! Powers kicks ass. It Well, the first few story arcs and then... I think it just got too mixed up in their own mythology.
- Itaintrite, on 02/10/2009, -0/+64400 was good in the beginning. Then it went to sh!t. And considering each season was only 12-ish episodes with the first one being 6... it went downhill faster than Heroes did.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -7/+12Are you retarded or something?
- hoodedrobin, on 02/10/2009, -1/+6hayden panettiere is pretty ***** hot... Except for her forehead.
- firebirdx01, on 02/10/2009, -0/+5I don't think people are picking up on the Miller Batman reference.
- skunkman62, on 02/10/2009, -0/+5wrong, heroes is a repackage of pokemon. and like pokemon "dead characters coming back to life every few episodes."
- rstarr, on 02/10/2009, -10/+15Tonight's episode was pretty damn gritty for me.
- reiggin, on 02/10/2009, -5/+9BS. It sucked.
- Kohaxx, on 02/10/2009, -1/+5Sylar flip-flops more than a plate of waffles. He's at his best when he's just a cold one dimensional murder machine, which really sucks for character development.
Honestly, he needs to get a real cause or die. - Crash1337, on 02/10/2009, -0/+4Bendis FTW
- Kohaxx, on 02/10/2009, -0/+4About freakin' time.
Matt Parkman
Powers: Telepathy, Mind Control, Illusion, Prophetic Vision (apparently)
Weakness: Gross incompetence. - mlOverdrive, on 02/10/2009, -0/+3Now if only HBO would pick up Fables from the Vertigo line.
- ChaoticNick, on 02/10/2009, -5/+8After having seen every 4400 episode, I think it kinda sucked.
Digg me down now... - akerasi, on 02/10/2009, -1/+4Don't we all. It's nice to see something promising, however.
- brandita, on 02/10/2009, -10/+13Lost > Heroes
- youliveinfear, on 02/10/2009, -0/+3theyve gone a little darker on Heroes..it doesnt seem as "lost" as it was before...still needs some major help in the dialogue department..I almost swore it off after the debacle of last fall but so far im in on these first two ep's.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -4/+7Tonight's episode was gritty damn pretty for V.
- firebirdx01, on 02/10/2009, -0/+3Not sure if I'd call this Heroes' Grittier Brother. I've been reading Powers and it's not even remotely close.
- k4f123, on 02/11/2009, -0/+2canceling a show that wins emmys & grammys left and right while being applauded by its peers and critics as one of the best comedies on television? COME ON!!!!
- superman1023, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2more like V's and 4400's hotter sister
- daveward, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2Really hope they actually go through with this. A Powers show would be awesome.
- Kohaxx, on 02/10/2009, -0/+24400 was certainly more original, but the whole "explanation" of their origin was wholly disappointing.
Also not enough fight scenes. - teshkovano, on 07/28/2009, -0/+2I like the pretentious voice overs!
- cerealjynx, on 02/10/2009, -5/+7I read Heroes' as Herpes and thought 'OHSHI!'
- Kohaxx, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2My favorite are the disappearing storylines.
Hey Peter, aren't you the least bit upset that you left your Irish girlfriend in a future that doesn't exist? Oh nope, doesn't affect you at all.
Sylar, how did killing your own mom work out for you? OBTW, whatever happened to all those powers you use to have, that you supposedly lost but somehow had in the future? Also ytf did you kill the one woman stupid enough to sleep with you?
HRG and Nathan, so...you're totally cool betraying the people you've worked with the past two years and have saved your ass multiple times. Way to be a couple of pricks.
Whatever happened to Molly anyway?
I've heard Season 4 is better, but meh, I'm a bit burned out, I like the actors but the writing is just so bad. - daridave, on 02/10/2009, -1/+3The heroes themselves are fun to watch, but the story has become plain stupid. I'm kind of hooked on, I admit I won't miss an episode, but in the end I always feel like I want my 45 minutes (and my bandwidth) back.
- OzzieAlThor, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2You are not my brother.
- diggymow, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2LOST and The Office keep me going.
- ohthedaysofyore, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2Oh man, I'm stoked. This was one of my favorite comics.
- Darksoul, on 02/13/2009, -0/+1Never read but none the less I can't wait Heroes is just to well I think the word is "*****". It's just not fun any more the second season sucked this season is just "ok" but nothing good about it to where like Battlestar Galactica is like crack I have to watch no matter what so I can't wait and it being on FX can only be a good thing more and more shows that jump to non network tv just do better in the long run and FX is good to the shows they run. I can't wait for this show seems like alot of fun.
- gbhall, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1AnarchoGoth you are awesome!
For what feels like years, might be not sure, I have been trying to remember the name of 4400! I have asked friends (as recent as a few weeks ago) and some of my friends remember the descriptions, but they too forgot the name.
I looked it up on Wikipedia because people seemed to agree with you that it was good.
Holy shoot! I just read there are 4 seasons! I hate our television network here in NZ then, because they promised that season 2 was coming the following year. I am so happy there are actually more seasons, I thought the show had a flop!
Thank you! - Kohaxx, on 02/10/2009, -0/+1I'd give Marvel more credit than that...Marvel wasn't a soap opera, new characters could actually survive more than one "Volume".
Tune in next week to watch Sylar flex his eyebrows! - k4f123, on 02/11/2009, -0/+14400 had its acting flaws, but it more than made up in the story department.
digging you down as requested. - inactive, on 02/10/2009, -1/+2Fx always has good shows
- CompanyCalls405, on 02/10/2009, -0/+1Sounds cool. Haven't read the comics but If the show is good I'll check them out. I enjoy the production value of FX shows. Can't remember the last time one had extensive cg effects (which I'm assuming it'll use) so it'll be interesting. I'm sure it'll push the envelope though as most of their shows do.
- CaptCarrot, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1I dare everyone to get ChaoticNick dugg down to -4400.
- tEhKewleSt, on 02/10/2009, -0/+1Huh? You lost me at "It Well,"
