- Oatlord, on 12/02/2008, -5/+72What the hell is SciFi thinking putting a potentially good show on the air? Where will the money for their movies such as "Mansquito 2: Mansquitoes in Suburbia" and "Showdown at Area 51 Part Two: Keeping Bad Actors Employed" come from? Buried for SciFi making a bad move.
- deadapostle, on 12/03/2008, -1/+58The only thing that would be better than a prequel would be for them to just continue the damn show... and take less than a year between seasons.
- Griff7272, on 12/03/2008, -0/+46This will be Battlestar without the action.
- fadetoone, on 12/03/2008, -6/+43You know those BSG episodes with the really boring parts? Like the legal trial of Balthar? Seems to me this series is going to be entirely composed of similarly boring parts.
- oboshoe, on 12/03/2008, -2/+36Frackin toasters.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -0/+34"Battlestar debuted to strong ratings, that fell off in later seasons. One of the network's frustrations with the show has been its dark and increasingly complex mythology."
*****. BSG ratings fell off because you SFC arseholes play scheduling headgames with the viewers. - missjb, on 12/02/2008, -3/+32i cant wait for this
- WriterSD, on 12/02/2008, -2/+27Really exciting... Except for the starting in 2010 part. :(
- TheWriteGuy, on 12/03/2008, -0/+24SciFi will air the pilot, then hold onto the first 10 episodes of Season 1 for a year before airing them. Then they'll hold the last 10 episodes of the first season for another year before airing them.
In between, they'll further stretch things out across a series of webisodes. - bekeleven, on 12/03/2008, -0/+23I learned from Firefly what "Full series + 2 HR Pilot" can mean.
Nevertheless, at least this is a channel that will appreciate it. - SexyFarts, on 12/03/2008, -1/+24I don't know, I loved Battlestar Galactica because it was a show about humanity's last stand and survival against all odds. It was about being hopelessly lost while trying to find a new home that may not even exist.
I don't think this new series has any of the things that got me hooked on BSG. This new series looks like all the boring parts filler episodes of BSG. They should have at least made a series about the 1st Cylon war. - AmyVernon, on 12/03/2008, -0/+22Mansquito is the BEST telemovie title EVAR.
- DeePsix501, on 12/03/2008, -3/+21Can we see the end to the Reimagined series yet?
- Ac1dburn, on 12/02/2008, -3/+20I'm so excited for this!

- oilcan, on 12/03/2008, -0/+14you seem to be talking about a different show...BSG has been one of the biggest hits Scifi has had.
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -2/+16that's ambitious.
- thejumbo, on 12/03/2008, -0/+13Don't forget SUPERGATOR 2: The Quickening!
- TiMMY8765, on 12/03/2008, -0/+12don't you diss those saturday night movies. best drinking movies ever.
apparently they get good ratings too. - tallassrob, on 12/03/2008, -0/+12The show is ending on its own terms. Not being cancelled or rushed into a conclusion, or even worse, dragging on until no one cares anymore.
- Balanced, on 12/03/2008, -0/+11Scheduled for January.
- deadapostle, on 12/03/2008, -2/+13I'm more concerned that it will have the pilot in 2010, and we'll have to wait until 2014 for them to air the first episode.
- dynamojoe, on 12/03/2008, -0/+11Maybe these horrible movies are a plot by Scifi to resurrect MST3K.
(one could only hope) - RobotBuddha, on 12/03/2008, -0/+11I had the same worry after reading the story. That, and it's a prequel. Prequels, as a general rule, tend to be bland. They did a great job first time around though, so I'm going to give it a chance.
- dheaddy, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10From my experience of downloading US TV, 2 hours = 1hr 20min unfortunately
- boombye, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10That's Sci-Fi channel's fault. They need something to air in Winter time, so they delayed BSG's second half of the 4th season til Jan., but they could have aired it in Summer or Fall...They won't have any Doctor Who or Stargate Atlantis and stuff, so they're doing it for their Winter ratings.
- Baltiman, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10right - which means it will also be Battlestar without the viewers.
- bdejong11129, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10I love the show, but the extended breaks the show has taken several time throughout its history has soured the taste for the show for me. It just gets going and BAM a nine month break. They come back and it just gets going and BAM a year long break. I cant keep up with it that way. I can see this going the same way. the pilot comes out and its over a year before the series, then they just get the plot lines established, and the actors fall into their roles and BAM they will take an extended break.
After the split of season 2 and 2.5 I stopped watching it live and just rented the DVDs when they were available. that way I didnt have to worry about keeping up with the screwball schedule. - rexprime, on 12/03/2008, -7/+17Really Battlestar 90210 got picked up. This is the biggest mistake the Scifi channel has made since they started showing wrestling.
- jessehadden, on 12/03/2008, -1/+10Somehow, I'm not optimistic.
Then again, I couldn't believe they were re-imagining Battlestar Galactica, and I refused to watch it for a long time. When I finally did, my head exploded (in the good way).
I'll give it a fightin' chance. - Jektal, on 12/03/2008, -1/+10Well of course, you can't expect.. hang on..
BUY BRAWNDO! THE THIRST MUTILATOR!
...as I was saying, you can't expect TV networks to support themselves on subscription fees alone, as those go largely to... One minute...
BRAWNDO! IT'S GOT WHAT PLANTS CRAVE! - UselessTrivia, on 12/03/2008, -0/+9Couldn't agree more. I hate how ridiculous the schedule has been for this show. I was so amped up after the last episode that it just makes me mad thinking about having to wait so long.
I understand production schedules are tough and they ran into issues with the writers' strike, but they've been doing this since season 2 with the ridiculous mid-season hiatus.
I stopped watching Lost after they started playing the same game. I won't watch that show again until it's finished its run and I can stream it or rent the DVDs at my own pace. - QueEsAmor, on 12/03/2008, -0/+9Well, the series is starting with them creating the Cylons, so hopefully by the second season, we fast forward things and get to the beginnings of the war.
- brickbat, on 12/03/2008, -0/+8All the GD delays really put me off watching a great tv show.
- kashk5, on 12/03/2008, -0/+7I enjoyed Baltar's trial...
- vat0r, on 12/03/2008, -1/+8Fail
- IphtashuFitz, on 12/03/2008, -1/+8That's the one thing that's driven me crazy about the current BSG series. They seem to love driving all the fans nuts by dragging out new seasons, etc. as slowly as they possibly can...
- Bloodwine, on 12/03/2008, -1/+7I really loved Farscape. I know it was cancelled due to it costing over $1 million per episode to make (something along those lines). However, can't they show reruns or something? They show reruns of about everything else sooner or later.
- Bloodwine, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6I wonder if Ben Browder and Claudia Black will be in it. SciFi Channel's favorite duo in cancelled TV shows.
- FDisk, on 12/03/2008, -1/+7Frack! :(
- Baltiman, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6Yes - know exactly what you mean. The first series tended to have a lot more tension in it I think - you really got the sense that the Cylons were about 50 steps ahead of Galactica and closing in on the fleet fast - it captured something of the original series.
I generally found the second series and new-caprica storyline a lot less entertaining. The latest series has managed to get things a bit more on track but it still isnt at full speed.
People watch this sorta stuff for tense, exciting escapism. They really dont want to know about whether someone can fall in love with a toaster or who starbuck fancies. We need more space battles and heroic type stuff, not slow, dull monotribes. - boombye, on 12/03/2008, -0/+66 more weeks.
- hokie47, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6It has been so long that I am starting to not care anymore. Battlestar is like that hot girl that just keeps on giving you blue balls and after a few hours you are like ***** it and you go home to jack off.
- spaceman84, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6To be fair, Farscape was on for quite a few seasons and Stargate should have ended LONG before they showed up. Really, when Richard Dean Anderson decided he didn't want to come back, they should have written in the end of the show the right way.
- kenedamick, on 12/03/2008, -5/+11I think the show looks horrible.
- wendelgee2, on 12/03/2008, -1/+6The show is running its course.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -1/+6what the hell man...give Firefly another shot. get the rights from FOX.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -0/+5just like battlestar but without any of the cool space ships, cylons and stuff.in other words a soap opera.
- RealmDown, on 12/03/2008, -0/+5*Imagines my house filled with 30 Jennifer Love-Hewitts*
