- kahoona1, on 11/06/2009, -9/+420So they would like to be associated with the word fag?...
- RagingReid, on 11/06/2009, -7/+343Can we please stop calling for protests and learn how to take a joke?
- bluto36, on 11/06/2009, -9/+269OK GLAAD you are not getting it. you are not Fags ok, your Gay. unless you ride a Harley and wear your Harley gear... wich would make you a Gay Fag.
is this really that hard? - WhereAmI, on 11/06/2009, -4/+227But they're not loud, annoying, attention seeking Harley riders...I don't understand...
- Ninh, on 11/06/2009, -7/+219Is GLAAD looking to overtake PETA in the attention whoring business?
- anonymousmedic, on 11/06/2009, -8/+197GLAAD must be becoming insignificant again. Everyone pay attention to GLAAD now.
- SaladCactusKing, on 11/06/2009, -7/+192South Park still has it 13 years later.
- meruru, on 11/06/2009, -7/+161GLAAD you've done a lot of good work for us in the past, but seriously, learn how to pick your fights. You admit that it was a "well-intentioned effort...to delegitimize a vulgar anti-gay slur" so why are you calling for a protest?
- brakes4turtles, on 11/06/2009, -6/+157South Park tries to do you a personal favor and you throw it back in their face. Stay classy, GLAAD.
- fadeout, on 11/06/2009, -5/+128What a bunch of whiners.
Oh well, at least they're not fags. - framauro13, on 11/06/2009, -5/+109GLAAD's just being a bunch of naggers.
- bobburn1, on 11/06/2009, -6/+92Or those with characteristics of loud, annoying, attention seeking harley riders (i.e. GLAAD, loud, annoying, attention seeking..that seems about right). Those gay fags need to chill.
- elcalrissian, on 11/06/2009, -9/+87It appears that GLAAD totally missed the point.
Smartest show on TV? And im including CNN, MSNBC, FOX News.... - crazyhorse13, on 11/07/2009, -2/+77BRUUHBRBRHBHRBRHRBHRBBRH
- smashblu, on 11/06/2009, -2/+69Jokes are so much more funny when someone is offended, though.
- Bentleyk9, on 11/06/2009, -4/+67Hi, DavidNiven here, and I'm a troll desprate for attention! HHUUBRURBURBURBRURBURBRBRBBRBRBR
- crossmr, on 11/06/2009, -3/+65I'm coming out against this article's attempt to redefine the term "F-Bomb"
- bossm4n, on 11/06/2009, -2/+64I think they're just pissed at the Film Actors Guild.
- goomba323, on 11/06/2009, -4/+65I really think it's better now. It's more relevant than it used to be and the writing is simply BRILLIANT (and I don't use that word often in reference to television show writers.)
- eyeWired, on 11/06/2009, -2/+62In this world of political correctness (which we're all damn sick of, by the way), it's nice that we still have a show that just doesn't give a damn.
Where on the reverse side you've got dumb asses like Wanda Sykes who's made a living out of making fun of people and slandering just about every race and walk of life out there....who proceeds to make a commercial about why we shouldn't use the word "gay" inappropriately. Oh, I see Wanda...it's okay for you to do it, but when it's leveled at your particular group it's off limits. Such a gay fag. - Bentleyk9, on 11/06/2009, -4/+58"The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is coming out..."
Bravo good sir. Dugg. - Haptick, on 11/06/2009, -2/+50They should all get Harleys! Then everyone will pay attention to them!
- cave, on 11/06/2009, -2/+49I'm as gay as they come, and I'm siding with South Park on this one. I thought their episode was brilliant!
- Eikon89, on 11/06/2009, -1/+38Don't get mad. get GLAAD!
- Wakkyweed, on 11/06/2009, -7/+41Grammar Fag!
- fluxequalsradd, on 11/06/2009, -1/+34i doubt that cleared a whole lot up.

- case116, on 11/06/2009, -2/+33I am absolutely fascinated by you, Syntaxgs. Who are you? What is happening to your keyboard? I think most users on Digg would agree with me. We want to know who is behind these cryptic and usually baffling posts. Please share.
- mega-volt, on 11/06/2009, -0/+30they already did.
season 11 episode 1 - gaymathman, on 11/06/2009, -2/+32No, they're the kind of ***** who will bitch and moan about every perceived mistreatment or stereotyping of gay people while themselves working as hard as humanly possible to match every ***** stereotype and be as annoying as possible.
- TobiasParker, on 11/06/2009, -3/+30I 3< sytaxgs
- plainOldFool, on 11/07/2009, -1/+27MATT DAMON!
- Loonacy, on 11/06/2009, -3/+29What language is that supposed to be?
- PotentPotables, on 11/06/2009, -1/+27What a bunch of fags.
- goomba323, on 11/06/2009, -2/+27And if you're straight and thinking about buying a harley, you're bikecurious, geezI don't get why they don't understand.
- gaymathman, on 11/06/2009, -6/+30No, I think these gays are also fags. They clearly lack any balls, and feel like making noise so people recognize them. Those are telltale signs of a real fag.
- AndrewDB, on 11/06/2009, -2/+25The episode in question: http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/251889 ... and Christ, Glaad trying to get in the news again, they need to grow up.
- teckjunkie, on 11/06/2009, -2/+25Fag.
- CaptObvious, on 11/07/2009, -2/+24Those people annoy me.
- consterXnation, on 11/07/2009, -1/+23No, you're just a little bike-curious.
- gaymathman, on 11/06/2009, -2/+23You see, these gay people are fags. They like to make a lot of noise to draw attention to themselves because most people rightfully don't care about what they have to say. This makes them fags. If they have a vagina, they like vaginas, and if they have penises, they like penises. This makes them gay. Put the two together, and you have gay fags.
- ousthouse, on 11/06/2009, -3/+231. Protest (or parade)
2. ???
3. Profit - ohplease, on 11/06/2009, -2/+21GLAAD loves fish sticks
- przemeklach, on 11/06/2009, -17/+35omg brilliant. I hate harley drivers. I need to start watching sp again.
- bobburn1, on 11/06/2009, -1/+19Whiny fag. I love Harleys too, but I thought the episode was ***** classic. You can ride a harley and not be a fag (don't rev your damn engine like an *****, don't walk around like you own the world because you don't, you own a motorcycle).
- belthize, on 11/07/2009, -1/+17Bikecurious was one of the funniest things I've seen on SP in quite some time. The entire episode was worth it just for that one line.
- VBDon, on 11/06/2009, -3/+19Don't the fags at GLAAD know that doing a faggy thing like opposing a cartoon about fags and the word fag will only get people to want to watch it just to see what the fag all the fagging fuss is all about.
I do, however, like their plastic wrap. It works great in the microwave. - soley, on 11/07/2009, -1/+16Stop being such a fag.
- pimpofpixels, on 11/06/2009, -0/+14Ahh, offensive words.
It doesn't matter at all. The fact is that unpopular things in a society will always be adorned with some sort of slur. The slang chosen has no meaning, and is entirely interchangeable. The only tangible element is the social condition itself.
Take for instance, the term 'retarded.' Originally people with mental disabilities were called dumb or stupid. The term 'retarded' emerged as a more sensitive term. However, since being mentally handicapped is unequivocally a unenviable condition, the term 'retarded' eventually obtained a nenegative connotation to the point where a movement began to replace the term in the popular vernacular with the term 'special.' Now the term 'special' is beginning to become a negative word, and so the cycle will persist so long as there is a negative association with the condition.
My point is, the popularity of the term 'fag' has nothing to do with the social relations between homosexuals in the United States and the populace at large, and the underlying social tension will ensure that, so long as this tension exists, there will be some sort of slur for homosexuality, and to scrutinize the word, especially in context to a comedy show which is sympathetic to their cause, is, well... retarded. - yellowfish04, on 11/06/2009, -4/+18Whoa, FOX News does not belong on that list
