- fluidmatt, on 01/15/2009, -3/+13The reason why the Sopranos worked so well is because it was so funny, sad, shocking and exciting... so few shows manage to get the right blend, and they absolutely nailed it.
- 6oo63D, on 01/16/2009, -0/+9Just when thought I was leaving digg, this story logged me back in
- inactive, on 01/16/2009, -1/+9Any episode with Little Carmine had some funny lines. He was a ***** idiot.
- Grazfather, on 01/15/2009, -3/+10Dugg for the interior decorator.
- MonkeyNews, on 01/16/2009, -2/+9Pine Barrens was absolutely brilliant. One of the best episodes out of the entire show - the relationship between Paulie and Christopher was so intense and built up so well.
Since it is relevant, here is a website I have bookmarked - it is a family tree style layout of the Sopranos mob with interesting pop up info describing mob hierarchy and all that.

- Partyworm, on 01/16/2009, -1/+5How could they not mention Christopher's intervention?
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi-P-HWubbI - stuartduff, on 01/16/2009, -0/+3Pine Barrens has got to be the best and funniest episode that was made and being directed by steve buscemi it was always bound to have a dark humorous streak throughout. I think my favorite part is where Paulie has found some food in an abandoned Van and chris hears him eating it on the fly, the arguments that lead up to some great one liners from Christopher.
Damn i miss the Sopranos :( - TJMcWhiskers, on 01/16/2009, -0/+3Bwahahahaha!
- jbmcb, on 01/16/2009, -0/+3Funhouse is my favorite episode of the Sopranos, but I swear it wasn't the fish, it was rancid clarified butter at the Indian joint.
- fragomatik, on 01/16/2009, -1/+4Furio (strong Italian accent): "Someone shoulda go uppa to the weener of the Survivor. 'Gimme half of the million dollar or try survive THIS *****!'"
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 01/16/2009, -0/+2Tony and Furio confronting Junior's doctor on the golf course...
Furio: Stupid *****-a-game! - Kidddrunkadelic, on 01/16/2009, -0/+2Great episode. Just wished there was some follow up to it.
- ThaDRD, on 01/16/2009, -2/+4Dugg for when Christopher and Paulie where lost in the woods. Paulie and the frustration with his make-shift shoe made out of van carpet are classic.
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 01/16/2009, -0/+2Thats a great site.
- zendez1, on 01/17/2009, -0/+2Pine Barrens:
Christopher: For all we know, he could be out there stalking us.
Paulie: With what? His *****? - fragomatik, on 01/16/2009, -0/+2Same scene on the golf-course:
Furio: "Hey! There's a bee onna you hat!" (smacks the hat off the doctor's head!) - goreyend, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1you and the rest of the fans need to pull your head out of your ass, season for was not crap. it just changed a little. the story needed it any way. it could not stay the same as the first three
- inactive, on 01/16/2009, -1/+2Sopranos was so awesome.
- EggAndMuffin, on 01/16/2009, -1/+2On a related note; if you haven't seen it, check it out :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFYN8loUboA - maz2331, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1And, they wrote it just so that every time you really started to like a character like Paulie, they would then do some hideous act that made you hate them again. But, they still managed to mix in enough universal situations (such as family interactions) that everyone can identify with and find humorous.
In many ways, Tony was the manager everyone has had who was just a prick to his underlings, and every family has a Livia who stirs up tons of trouble with everyone. - ifonly, on 01/16/2009, -1/+2For those who liked The Sopranos I also recommend The Wire (another solid show from HBO), The Shield and The Unit.
- msmearcheck, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1I love Pine Barrens, especially when Paulie and Chris start eating ketchup packets.
- Emilio8605, on 01/17/2009, -0/+1I think I'm going to start watching the entire series again. From the beginning and all the way through. See you later Digg.
- rustybadge, on 09/01/2009, -0/+1Usch, the article is down... Where does one start though? Funny Soprano's moments... there are so many. This show just cracks me up, even simple quips e.g. when Tony's son has long hair (in the last series I think) and Paulie says to him "Ho! Van Helsing... let's go!"
Best. TV show. Ever. - nawlins, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1You should submit that link. Please.
- goreyend, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1Paulie Walnuts: I don't understand. When I was a kid, you two were old ladies. Now I'm old, and you two are still old.

And he backs up Springsteen on the side.

- str3ama, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1the episode where Paulie takes the painted picture of Tony and makes it into Napolean or something and then hangs it in his house and stares at it..
- ClassicResort, on 01/16/2009, -0/+1My personal favorite is in "Legend of Tennessee Moltisanti" from season 2.
As Christopher Moltisanti is digging up a body recently buried under a bridge.
"Is that him?"
"That would be some ***** coincidence if it wasn't." - jfb151, on 01/16/2009, -0/+0I wish I could have put that in the article. It's my single favorite line in the whole series.
- kd1s, on 01/16/2009, -2/+2It also resonated with some of us.
Let me make this absolutely clear, I am not mob nor have I ever been. But to look at me, and hear my last name the first assumption that pops into your head is "mobster".
My father on the other hand was in the mob. Being a five year old and watching your father carry a five gallon can of gasoline and matches into someones house is interesting to say the least. That's just one of many interesting episodes in my life.
Then of course there were the various 'uncles' and 'cousins'.
The antics of course were legendary. The dead fish under the seat of the car, the pranks, et al were hilarious. But typical.
That's why the Sopranos resonated with me. I've seen all that ***** before. - eternalfuture, on 01/16/2009, -1/+1I love Sopranos because of its great dialogues. Tony, Junior, Livia, Sil, and Paulie are my fav characters. Another favorite of mine, of course is Deadwood.
- PadenX, on 01/17/2009, -1/+1Have you heard the good news?
He is risen. - dafragsta, on 01/16/2009, -3/+2If you notice, the article apparently limited the list tho the first three seasons when the show was still actually all of those things. 4th season on is pretty much crap.
- inactive, on 01/17/2009, -2/+0Why do people like the Mafia? They are nothing but a bunch lazy looser that lie cheat and steal so everyone has to work harder. Think about everything you spend money on cost more because people steal and they have to make up the loss by passing the cost off on you
- ronaldmonster, on 01/16/2009, -6/+2Final season had to be the biggest joke the Sopranos writers ever thought of.
