- JediSean12, on 11/11/2009, -1/+33You mean 3-disc set.
- ltshinysides, on 11/11/2009, -0/+21damn i was going to do a chewbacca quote but I have no clue how to type that *****...
- BrewBeau, on 11/11/2009, -0/+20Hopefully, they might complete the jokes in the full version that will probably be longer than the preview.
- protogenxl, on 11/11/2009, -0/+19Rahsa Naba Doe-ah Gola Wookiee Nipple Pinchy!
-Jabba the Griffin - sigmaman2, on 11/11/2009, -4/+22Cool!
I already see myself owning the 6-disc set once they do them all! - iVisionX01, on 11/11/2009, -1/+17I approve of this.
- JasonCox, on 11/11/2009, -1/+14Am I the only one who was hoping Stewie we say 'we have cookies'?
- Briggykins, on 11/11/2009, -4/+17Were there any jokes in that? It almost just looked like a cartoon version of Star Wars. I'm sure the real one will have some good gags in it, why not put em in the trailer?
- peagle, on 11/11/2009, -4/+16Seemed like a lot of set ups for jokes, very few actual jokes themselves.
- UselessTrivia, on 11/11/2009, -0/+11RrRrRRrRrrRaAAaaAaAaaaAaa
- tj111, on 11/11/2009, -2/+12@themastersb: They never made any episodes 1-3. Just like they never made a Matrix 2 or 3.
- badqat, on 11/11/2009, -4/+13Come on, Luke! Join the dark side. It's really cool!
- Richgarner, on 11/11/2009, -4/+12Yawn. Way too many Star Wars parodies. It's become the lame last-ditch effort at garnering attention. "Our numbers are dropping, Let's do something Star Wars!!!"
- Myers3979, on 11/11/2009, -2/+8maybe if it had a laugh box you would get it
/profile - thephosphorbox, on 11/11/2009, -1/+7I was thinking the same thing. The only funny thing I saw in there was the "That's what you sound like" gag.. everything else seemed like it was just a cartoon remake of Empire with Family Guy chars.
- Oddish, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5Why not put them in the trailer? Maybe because a joke usually isn't as funny the second time you hear it?
- Awwzm, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4Impressive. Most impressive.
- descrysis, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Moneys
- FeloniusMonkey, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3and the sequel in 2011 "...something something something... complete."
- citizensARREST, on 11/11/2009, -5/+7I can't think of anything more horrible.
- DulcetTone, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2When the time comes, FG Ewoks will be better than original Ewoks.
- pilot3033, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2...? the DVD lets the special run as a continuous story, un-interuppted by commercials. I doubt this was a FOX decision, more likely a production decision based on both the content and the success of the first Family Guy Star Wars Special. And don't be such an ass, you were going to pirate it anyway, trying to turn that into martyrdom is just pathetic.
- Myers3979, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2Yeah you're right, everyone would much rather live in West Virginia.
- rgemmell, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1Actually I heard the sequal was going to be
Star Wars and the great muppet caper - artdecaderoo, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1So much for that /profile, huh?
- TexanRudeBoy, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1That's EXACTLY what the first one was. It was almost literally line for line.
- amitait, on 11/11/2009, -1/+2"You gonna attack them?!"
L-O-L - antdude, on 11/11/2009, -1/+2How come this is not airing on TV first like last time?
- TexanRudeBoy, on 11/11/2009, -2/+3Their "parody" was little more than an almost line for line retelling of the movie animated with FG characters, with a few OLD running jokes mixed in. How many times can you repackage the "wacky waving inflatable...." commercial?
- DekarCorvus, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1me like...
- endgame, on 11/11/2009, -1/+2Last weeks episode with Brian hooking up with the MILF was freaking hilarious. Probably one of the top 10 funniest episodes.
- mrjoanofarc, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1Now that they've made this, a "Return of the Jedi" parody is almost required! Except I agree with previous posts there weren't hardly any "jokes" in the trailer for this one. :/
- Swillys, on 11/11/2009, -1/+2Coming out in December on DVD, why could it be.....
- tsteenbu, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1That's what she said!
- rocknog, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1For me at least, it's less about getting it for free (which of course is a piece of piss whether it's shown on TV or not), and more about the convenience. Even if I choose to pirate it, that's still lamer than just showing it on TV.
- thizzlebot, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1I actually used Chewbacca as my senior quote back in highschool:
"GGrrrrddddddD"
Everyone thought it was awesome and im 100% serious. - Zippo, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1On Blu-Ray and DVD in December, your favourite bittorrent tracker within a couple weeks.
- thomn8r, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1s/weeks/hours/g
- tmonster1, on 11/11/2009, -1/+2Star wars is so cool and epic that even its parodies are cool and epic
- pilot3033, on 11/11/2009, -1/+2a) the thing gets to run without interruption
b) good holiday stocking stuffer
c) it doesn't have to compete with holiday specials
d) FOX doesn't lose any ad time by having to air it with less commercial breaks (shows are written to have natural breaking points for commercials, if you don't write it that way it gets clunky and disjointed when you DO put commercials in. see: any movie on network TV not meant for network TV). - Igrift, on 11/11/2009, -1/+1The only thing left good that Family guy has to offer are these Star Wars parodies.
- llehctim, on 11/11/2009, -1/+1it's funny because it's true
- tradeplumbing, on 11/11/2009, -0/+0I've got high hopes for this one. There might not have been many gags in the trailer, but if they give you all the gags then, what's the point of watching the movie? :P
- vodka357, on 11/11/2009, -1/+1I made a dark doodie
- bigjosh359, on 11/11/2009, -1/+1http://instantchewbacca.com/
- Browndecrypt, on 11/11/2009, -0/+0Definitely going to pick this one up, though I'm really going to wish hard for a better "special edition" than Harvest Moon had. Harvest Moon had a crap ton of swag (XL T-shirt, trading cards, 3-D glasses) that I could have done without. On the plus side however the interviews and commentary on the extra disc were mint.
- sigmaman2, on 11/11/2009, -1/+1"I did not say this. I am not here."
- HardSide, on 11/11/2009, -3/+2The preview for Blue Harvest was way better
- rgemmell, on 11/11/2009, -5/+4ONLY on DVD i hope that is just temporary
The only thing about family guy that is still good and your not going to show it on TV, GOD DAMN YOU FOX...oh well, I guess you probably would get better ratings with reruns of Brothers and Till Death instead...
Meanwhile, I'm going to just Pirate this as soon as it comes out, even though I would have been perfectly happy watching it on TV, teahry buy killing any profitability you could have gotten from me watching it -
