- focoguy, on 03/08/2009, -3/+67I can't wait to Digg a video of this show mocking Digg.
- Wazdinero, on 03/08/2009, -2/+58Please don't let it be sketch comedy, please don't let it be sketch comedy.
- Shogi, on 03/09/2009, -9/+38My fail sense is tingling.
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -1/+28"a news show mocking the online world"
But the internet mocks television. And television will mock the internet mocking television. And the internet will mock television mocking the internet mocking television. And... - bixby1, on 03/08/2009, -3/+29I've seen Tosh a couple times in LA. Hysterical. He's really one of the few comics I'd pay to see.
- drewtown, on 03/08/2009, -2/+27tosh is really funny. Although I'm not sure how a series like this will play out.
- SuperPaymon, on 03/09/2009, -3/+20He told a pregnant teen girl on Dr. Drew's Loveline: "Congratulations. Your life is over."
- ZincSaucier, on 03/09/2009, -3/+20finally? people were waiting for this?
- Torx, on 03/09/2009, -0/+12I thought Attack of the Show was responsible for mocking the internets?
- filldeviant, on 03/09/2009, -1/+9Yeah! I'm already loving Demetri Martin's Important Things, but Daniel Tosh is right up there with Demetri in my book. I'm excited to see some new stuff by him.
- drunkenoaf, on 03/09/2009, -0/+8I think the internet does a good enough job of mocking itself.
- kerouac906, on 03/09/2009, -0/+8Impossible. The internet is perfect.
- Azerael, on 03/09/2009, -0/+7...we'll be funnier, have less commercials, and pirate his ***** anyway.
- JRowe3388, on 03/09/2009, -0/+6Yes it does.
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -5/+11Oh Jesus. Tosh is pretty funny a lot of the time, but his act often teeters on trying to hard to be hip. Granted most of the time, it works, but I could see his act stretched out over a tv show ending up a complete unfunny poser disaster. Sort of like a nerdy version of Mind of Mencia.
- maloventevil, on 03/09/2009, -1/+6daniel tosh ftw!
- Fleagleman, on 03/09/2009, -0/+5You say "finally" as if this show was the first of its kind, or if people were actually begging for a show like this on TV.
- Fixhotep, on 03/09/2009, -0/+5Meh. I really like Martin, but his show isn't all that funny. It has its moments, but not enough to warrant a series.
I also really like Tosh, let's just hope he doesn't fall into the same trap. - wily6, on 03/09/2009, -6/+11SUP DAWG WE HEARD YOU LIKED WATCHING VIDEOS OF MOCKING DIGG SO WE MOCKED DIGG ON TV SO YOU CAN WATCH MOCKING DIGG VIDEOS OF DIGG ON TV ON DIGG WHILE YOU DIGG.
- Sylocat, on 03/09/2009, -0/+5You'll be able to say "Dugg for the dig at Digg."
- Niandler, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4Doesn't the internet already do a great job of mocking the internet?
- ajv570, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4Love this guy he is hilarious
- inactive, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4this should be good. or terrible.
- MrFurious2k, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4The benefit of the Internet is we have a lot more good writers.
- enrq, on 03/09/2009, -1/+5comedy central.... our generation's MTV, just better
- TheUngod, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4His Comedy Central Presents and other special are quite possibly my favorites, next to maybe Mitch Hedburg.
- OptimismPrime, on 03/09/2009, -0/+4Television is the thing where the series in your Torrent Download Directory originate from...or so i've heared.
- Shogi, on 03/09/2009, -1/+4Yeah, it means joebaloney is near.
- joebaloney, on 03/09/2009, -2/+5The fact that it never stops tingling should tell you something.
- dingedarmor, on 03/11/2009, -0/+2Yep, he was hilarious!
And the Swish was sweet. - THETEH, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2Cool. I just hope it doesn't suck.
- xxybermancer, on 03/11/2009, -0/+2I like Daniel Tosh. But this is by no means the first show to make fun of online culture. Have you never heard of Unscrewed with Martin Sargent?
- wakeupsticky, on 03/09/2009, -1/+3The names are really appropriate... MTV doesn't play music, and Comedy Central doesn't play comedy.
- sageerrant, on 03/11/2009, -0/+2I always start to watch them with the impression that I've already heard enough from him. I am consistently mistaken.
- TheMidnight, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2What about a post to Digg of a screencap of comments mocking the Digg story about the Tosh 2.0 mockery of Digg?
- yodanation, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2I guess you guys don't remember "Internet Tonight".
- Gregorio420, on 03/09/2009, -0/+1His attitude is what this type of show will need. He is great. Actually saw him in Omaha once, but I thought it was his act to hate everywhere that bad. I do see his point though.
And he said the funniest thing I ever heard......
Was joking about his response to when people ask what he hopes his soon to be born child will be.
Black.
Brilliant - howrudeareyou, on 03/11/2009, -0/+1I love when networks claim to be doing something first, completely ignoring that the show's five years behind a trend and has already been done by other outlets. But I DO like Tosh, so here's hoping he can pull it off.
- fapfaptrain, on 03/09/2009, -0/+1I wonder if Canada's Comedy Network will show this.
- sageerrant, on 03/11/2009, -0/+1And/or rooms full of monkeys with keyboards.
They're roughly synonymous, from time to time. - xxybermancer, on 03/18/2009, -0/+1Yes she was...I need to figure out where she may have gone.
- TheMidnight, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1Point a TV camera at a computer monitor showing the live feed of what the camera sees on the Internet, with the webcam on.
- ZincSaucier, on 03/09/2009, -4/+5i can't wait till someone diggs my comment about me digging your comment
- sageerrant, on 03/11/2009, -0/+1I'm amazed that everyone has responded so positively to Important Things. I like it enough to watch it for the good bits, but Demetri Martin is easily one of my favorite comedians.
Given that, Tosh has a chance, but they both need to learn from the mistakes made by similar shows in the past, or they'll be awfully short-lived series. - twignificant, on 03/09/2009, -1/+2Daniel Tosh is great. I never thought he'd land his own show, though. ::crosses fingers::
- DAC1138, on 03/09/2009, -0/+1You say "finally" like we were waiting for this show all along. I didn't know everyone was craving and waiting for an internet parody TV show.
- tboutcher, on 03/09/2009, -1/+2the digg reel?
- partymachine, on 03/09/2009, -0/+0took the words out of my mouth.
finally? -
