- EatingPie, on 11/06/2009, -1/+10@davincih: There are actually few of these characters that little kids would know (R2D2, C3P0, and Batman being exceptions obviously!), unless they were up late watching TV with their parents. I was tiny when my parents watched Laugh In... suddenly they'd realize it was time for bed during a certain skits or other.
The key is that the characters that came on were truly funny, and they could work well outside of their late-night, adult-oriented comedy routines.
