Stewie became a bastardized homosexual pop culture driven character that vaguely resembles his early persona, while Brian became a preachy liberal douche. The humor isn't plot driven or character driven anymore, they crippled it to just gag humor and pop culture references. Seems like they aren't even trying with Family Guy anymore.

I think it's a toss up between the two honestly. South Park has stepped up the game SO WELL over the past 2 seasons it's just amazing.
My problem with Family Guy is that a lot of the time a good portion of the show does not relate hardly to anything going on in the plot. I've watched every single episode of South Park. Just because there wasn't an episode of FG where they said ***** 162 times doesn't mean that FG is family friendly.
