    TDS has been on here in the UK on More4 at 8:30pm, I watched this episode and failed to see what the hype is about. Show seemed to consist of: 1) Some fairly mild satire (the best bit)
    2) Rubbish sketch
    3) crap interview and promotion of film
    Was this a below par episode? Should I give it another try?!

    The Day Today is still the best current affairs satire imo :]

      Love the war bit...

      But to be on topic, this wasn't really that funny. What's even worse is the "outtakes" they had during the end credits. They were just horrible.

    • spaceman84, on 08/07/2008, -4/+5No. The Daily Show is immensely overrated, but it does pander to certain political demographics that other shows don't, thus the considerable popularity.

      Personally, I think Jon Stewart is terribly unfunny and has only gotten worse over the years as he mugs to the camera and hams it up more and more.

      The Colbert Report is what you want to watch if you appreciate satire, because it makes the The Daily Show look stupid and ham-fisted by comparison.

      But on a good day, nothing comes close to the Daily Show.
