- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Fantastic! I absolutely abhor tvguide.com. It's too ugly and clunky and red and ad-filled. This has a nicely placed google ad in the lower right.
This is nice and clicky and draggy and it feels better than TVguide's listings. Neato! - cutechimp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Are you kidding? Yahoo's new TV listing sucks.
- Phoenixfury, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Google needs to acquire this.. Quickly! Imagine this in conjunction to Google calendar, and getting reminders sent straight to your Gmail inbox. :) This fits right in with Google's theme of simplicity!

Those are supposed to be SMPTE Color bars, not a rainbow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMPTE_color_bars - Crosshare, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Nice site...
http://www.titantv.com
does a fine job as well. - sardonic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Pretty cool, I like http://www.meevee.com a little better.
- johngardiner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6good site... also check out www.zap2it.com as an alternative... it's what i use anyways
- danielslomka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5awesome, they've got my university's cable network. I'll definitely be using this from now on
- TomforPres2020, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5For us Po Folks that can't afford the high tech cable or dish networks, this site is awesome, because it has a selection for antennae. Granted I am in the minority, but still happy to see someone looking out for the little guy
- starvo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Yea, it looks great now, and I'm sure that if it takes off, it could quickly suffer a-bloat and feature-bloat. But at least for now, I think I've found a new program guide for my PC.
- KillerKellerjr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Don't worry I feel your pain, I too only have an antennae but look at the bright side, thats $60-120 you save every month to spend on other stuff. I get about 7 channels and still use PVR/DVR to record whatever I want....I don't need all those other channels or at least not with torrents to stream...
- Cglass, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6This uses Ajax too..ajax isn't garbage; people who use it improperly are.
- neuropsychguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I like zap2it.com but this site is intriguing. I love the click and drag - a la Google Maps - navigation.
- techlinks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Am I missing something? All I get is a scrollable list of the channels.
EDIT: Oh! I guess clicking enter helps. - screensnot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I use TitanTV as well. I likes it fine. But I can't even compare it to anything. I liked TitanTV from day one, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- jabab, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5If you're from the UK, here's some shameless self promotion for a TV Listings site:
http://tellylistings.com/ - vuthy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@cutechimp
Totally agree about Yahoo's listings. I had it bookmarked and was using it all the time until they "upgraded." Now it hardly works half of the time. I switched to tvguide.com yet their rollover bubbles with episode details often disappear behind another element, like an ad.
When will people learn that, sometimes, more does not equal better? - bignickolson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I used to use tvguide...horrible...
Now I use the listings provided from Zap2it on my mythtv setup. - gregnorc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It doesn't work. I entered my zip code, hit enter, and it just sits there. I have noscript set to allow the site. I'm running firefox 2.0.0.2 on an intel macbook.
- pooninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@canuck21
agreed,, should be a TV Favicon not stupid rainbow SMPTE.. beats the ***** out of yahoo tv! - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/
Another similar service, lets you configure the series it shows, fairly simple, but it works nicely - d0nkeyBOB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like it, like I like my women . . . . Simple and Easy.
- abid786, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3But that guide (at least on my digital cable ) sucks balls.
- lewscroo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3now that is a sweet layout, so simple and easy to use and its fast. you don't even have to register to get the info. i love the fact that it doesn't clutter the box with anything other than the title and a 'new' script.
- Hormelinator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3anyone try this in opera browser? I keep getting prompted for username and passoword (ala the server log in style pop up dialog box)
- cfaslave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Are you by chance using any anti-ad add-on with firefox like Proxomitron (anti-ad, anti-popup, etc) and If so, you might try doing a site-specific bypass. I'm using firefox with no problems - not Vista however.
- cfaslave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This doesn't yet work with the Opera Browser. Should work fine with all others.
Remember, this is just the first, public beta version. Many Improvements are on the table for future versions - including integration with PVR/DVR's like Beyond TV and hopefully others. The initial goal was a simple TV listings website done right.
You can comment on feature requests or general comments on the guide at http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=63 - nixfu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2titantv.com for the win....and for home dvr use.
- calebrown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2MeeVee is a lot better, they do personalization the right way.
- bu11et, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Very nice, but I'd like to be able to bookmark the listings and not have to re-enter my zip code, etc. -- and not rely on cookies to save the info (hint: url parameters)
- fufubag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Agree. I just checked out both sites (couchville and TitanTV) for the first time. After seeing both for about 60 seconds, I'll take TitanTV.
- allaboutdatiki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nifty and draggable. Much better than DirecTV's online listings.
- CyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm not going to create an account there just to provide beta feedback, but for some reason I'm not getting a listing for either of the NBC affiliates I get via antenna Channel 4 in DC (WRC), and Channel 11 in Baltimore. Instead I get a listing for a Spanish Language channel (WAPA Canal 4).
This applies to zip code 20781 and 20783 - but oddly not zips 20782 or 20784. These are all adjacent zip codes for the same town and should therefore have pretty identical listings. - cfaslave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The website doesn't yet work with Opera per the help page.
- Eliza101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, I thought my college's network was too small to be listed, but it does have it! Best news all day!
- nitro322, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3How do I use it? I get a Zip/Postal code input form, but it will not submit. Hitting Enter does nothing, and there's no actual submit button to click. I'm running Firefox and I have JavaScript enabled - what's the deal?
- InfamousX241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This totally needs RSS feeds!
- cfaslave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The ad-blocking problem should be fixed now according to the dev's at Snapstream.
- Agret, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like that site, didn't know it was USA only until after I entered in my TV shows though =/
- one321, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is amazing! I love how simple and easy it is. An instant can't (or at least, shouldn't) live without.
- cfaslave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't know of one that provides the xml, but this is a feature request on the list for Couchville. I'm a beta tester for the site.
- crila, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1finally good tv listings online!!!!!
- dddankman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Doesn't work for me either. Firefox 2.0.0.2 as well, all adblockers set to allow.
- Mazz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like this. I want to pay for it. Simple makes me happy
- mattprice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The only thing that bugs me about meevee is that the time is an hour off, but I don't think that's their fault. Several other sites show my listings with the wrong time too.
- uownedge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very cool. I'm going to try it out via the Wii's web browser and see how it compares to Comcast's guide. Speed-wise, it's a ton faster...but I'm concerned about readability.
- potatoman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1EvokeTV was a really nice site, too bad it had to fall by the wayside. This looks like a decent alternative, hopefully it won't fail as well.
- Turino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great digg! I've been looking all over for one of these. Been using the yahoo tv listings and it's ok but still a little too clunky/addy for me, I love the minimalist approach.
- courtarro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You're probably blocking Google Analytics' "urchin.js". My AdBlock installation was blocking it, and the corresponding javascript error was preventing the site from doing what it wanted. Disable AdBlock for the site, or unblock urchin.js and it works fine.
