- eexlebots, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15It is, as in it's ***** that we've let it go on for this long without getting our lazy asses up to fix it.
- DiggOrNotToDigg, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16Great Documentary..Public needs more knowledge on global warming..
- eexlebots, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12What the hell? How would we be giving our freedom when reducing emissions and generally cleaning up the place?
- Eivo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Regulations on machinery is nothing new and isn't a violation of your freedom. That may be the dumbest comment on this page.
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11How much different is that than:
HOMOSEXUALS FEAR HOMOSEXUALS VOTE REPUBLICAN
or the current favourite:
TERRORISM FEAR TERRORISM VOTE REPUBLICAN! - WasabiBomb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Let's see, who to believe... Climatologists who have studied the climate as a career...
... or aplhonseragusa, who is apparently the internet's leading authority on... what, exactly? - RottenHam, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7There have been plenty of studies about the Sun and they show that it cannot be responsible for global warming. Here's one: http://www.agu.org/pubs/crossref/2003/2002JA009753 ...
"This comparison shows without requiring any recourse to modeling that since roughly 1970 the solar influence on climate (through the channels considered here) cannot have been dominant." - rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Do you have one? No?
- RottenHam, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5It's best to listen to the oil companies and their shills. They wouldn't lie to us, would they?
- Yukos, on 10/10/2007, -7/+11It's an Emmy - who cares? An Emmy award is only slightly less ***** than a Grammy.
- hairyjona, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You guys are stupid. Global warming is a huge issue. And what the hell is so wrong and crazy about loving and taking care of the planet?? Geez. Don't be narrow-minded.
- lazerus9, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5All of the Brits on Digg love to speak out and digg down opponents of the Global Warming seudo religion. It is the only thing that they are free to protest in their country.
- enri, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3But the world is only 6000 years old.
/sarcasm - JohnnyXmas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4How can he win an Emmy when NOBODY UNDERSTANDS A GOD DAMNED WORD HE SAYS?!
"Spashull Andevrrrr" - DerangedPenguin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2"What's global warming, its f@*k*&g freezing here in Antarctica? Try fasting for 6 months, while sitting around on your naked feet, in the snow, at -40 Degrees in 70 KPH winds trying to keep the little bastard junior warm. First you worried about "the hole" in the ozone layer down, like anyone is going to sunbathing out here on the ice. I would love have this place turn into Hawaii. I can't even get broadband on this G-d forsaken ice field. "
Deranged Penguin - GholaMentat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Maybe next time they'll get someone to read the info to the people that actually deserve credit.......naw its media
- hairyjona, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1who'd you copy and paste that from?? glaciers melting = sea level rising = beach in austin, tx = no more houston.
- oceanrain, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2What, Brokaw stole Al Gore's thunder? Oh *****, there will be hell to pay for that!
- hiikeeba, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Great. Except for his assertion that Global Warming can be stopped. We can no more stop Global Warming that stop the Earth from turning. Part of Global Warming is a natural process.
- kageki, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Ever consider they can be wrong? There's plenty of other scientists that do believe the Sun has a major influence. It's an on-going debate and contrary to what the media makes you believe the subject is far from settled.
You do realize scientists can be bought like any other people? - kageki, on 10/10/2007, -8/+6Um no it does seem like BS. CFCs were originally attributed to ozone layer depletion, but that seems like BS because they forgot to mention they tested a couple hundred nukes in the atmosphere and all over.
Why is there still no mention of the Sun? We are right smack in the middle of a sunspot cycle which has historically shown to have great effects on this planet even wars.
http://www.michaelmandeville.com/earthmonitor/cosm ... - NonLeftistDiggr, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2Wow, you really don't see where this regulation thing is going do you? It's a big power grab, I will leave it at that.
- kageki, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Ah dig us down because some of you people still just don't get how dirty this world is. It's nice not to have lost your innocence yet.
- dwright99, on 10/10/2007, -3/+0Say the right thing and it puts you to the front of the awards line.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1The more they push this global warming fearmongering im gonna start driving more use more power, and recycle less.
- hmmmok, on 10/10/2007, -7/+3I like Tom Brokenjaw, though. At least he's not a lying lunatic, like Dan.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1So all the slow witted, fear mongering, self absorbed, sky-is-falling dumbasses are burying the facts that global warming is ***** and pushing up the liberal, emotional crap comments. Well suck on this tree-huggers - I'm going to drive home extra slow today. I will not turn off the lights when I'm in the other room. Oh, and I don't recycle. That's all a waste of time.
I guess facts are the enemy of liberal douchbags.
ps. I am 100% independent. I demand facts when making policy - something both left and right are lacking. - NonLeftistDiggr, on 10/10/2007, -8/+3OF COURSE HE DID!!
He won that emmy from the second they came up with the idea for the show. Just like Gore's oscar.
Winning an Emmy doesn't mean squat. I guarantee everyone here can look at the latest round of winners and find at least a few actors/shows that have no business being nominated for an award, let alone winning it. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Republicans="War on Terror."
Democrats="War on Global Warming."
With the "War on Terror." we get domestic spying the patriot act etc. what will the "War on Global Warming." bring us breathing tax public executions we had to kill him he was a CO2rist or throwing people in jail for driving or eating meat on monday farting in the back yard. - heartcoldfusion, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2Don't disagree with human-caused global warming!! Don't you idiots know that when a few scientists get together and agree on something, that makes it so!!! Everyone knows that since the beginning of time, scientists have agreed that the world is round, that Earth revolves around the Sun, that the Sun is the center of the Solar System, and that the Solar System is just a normal system in a galaxy in a universe. There were never any differing opinions and those who did think differently were clearly crazy.
When people's who policy is spreading the word on climate change and your friendly politicians and news anchors tell you that we're all going to die because man has warmed the earth, you had best believe them. - hydrashok33, on 10/10/2007, -5/+0Tom should get a team together and prove anthropogenic global warming and collect the 125,000 dollar prize at junkscience.com. Or any of you "Chicken Littles" out there that think the case is closed on AGW.
- whataboutdave, on 10/10/2007, -16/+9"What You Need to Know" is a fitting title. Yes, we will tell you all you need to know - no more and no less. Don't bother learning anything further or looking to alternative sources. We know what you need.
- kageki, on 10/10/2007, -8/+1You don't get the point. It's rigged and it's BS and has nothing to do with giving it to people on merit.
- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -15/+8Sacrifice your ethics, make socialist propaganda...win shiny awards!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -12/+4I saw that program. It was a while ago but I am pretty sure that they did not mention that we are between Ice Ages right now. Global warming is a load of crap. Even if we INCREASED emissions, we could not stop the next Ice Age, which would cover the top one-third of the Earth with ice. This happens EVERY 10 or 15 thousand years so it's just a matter of time. Scientists who are honest will tell you this. The History Channel, in fact, had a program about the history of the Earth and explained this.
People like Slackjaw can go to hell. He sucks. - designer, on 10/10/2007, -22/+14Man made global warming is *****.
- GoatMonkey2112, on 10/10/2007, -10/+2Apparently for an Emmy it doesn't matter if the story is fiction or non-fiction.
- dwiezel, on 10/10/2007, -12/+4His liberal/leftist/socialist viewpoint makes him irrelevant in my opinion. Moreover, like many of his comtemporaries, he has a do what I say don't do what I do philosophy (i.e., al gore). What is his energy footprint?
- turkeyssr, on 10/10/2007, -10/+1Simple. You can no longer drive an SUV because someone believes it will harm the environment in spite of all the 'scientists' that admit even if NO ONE DROVE the earth would still warm. There is nothing you can do to stop it. If you're willing to give up freedom for safety you deserve neither to be free nor safe. Environmentalism is worse than any religion I've ever heard of - you're guilty simply for being alive!
- euphemizeme, on 10/10/2007, -12/+2That's a lot of pounding going on there... how come I am visualizing Tom Brokaw and Sean Connery making whoopie, their bodies glistening with Ben-Gay and old person juice, rocking back and forth until they collapse in each others' arms and cuddle for hours, whispering sweet nothings until dawn?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -21/+11GLOBAL WARMING!! FEAR FEAR GIVE UP YOUR FREEDOMS! GLOBAL WARMING!! FEAR! VOTE DEMOCRAT! FEAR FEAR! GLOBAL WARMING!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -21/+10Ah yes, more re reinforcement of the message, legitimize, pound it, pound it, pound it in to them and then reinforce it again. Whose establishment is selling what?
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 10/10/2007, -13/+2New Term
GLOBAL WARMONGERING!......... "HE PLAYED ON OUR FEAAAAAAARS!!!"..... he sure did. - FishHammer, on 10/10/2007, -14/+3I just ***** my pants.
- futureb, on 10/10/2007, -17/+4tom brokaw always sounds like he's drunk.
