- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -1/+84Saul Tigh, I think I'll miss you most of all.
- adeelarshad82, on 03/21/2009, -2/+65great roundup. will definitely miss Sixes (In) red dress...
obviously going to miss alot more cause someone who is a true BSG fan got really caught up in characters, their lives and the drama that surrounded them. - MacroDaemon, on 03/22/2009, -1/+55I'll miss all of it. It's a series that I waited for every week, and that managed to cheer me up even in impossible tough situations.
The entire series was sheer brilliance, from beginning to end.
The thing I will miss most, however, were my lower standards. There's nothing on TV that can match up to this. - DangerCollie, on 03/22/2009, -1/+44I'll miss the rough edges. In Star Trek it was all sleek technology and rarely a dissenting voice. In BSG everything had rough edges. The machinery, the people, even the Cylons. And the lighting highlighted those edges. The only way it could have been better was if they offered an R rated version DVD.
So now the channel is going from gritty, edgy reality to SyFy, a name that screams ultra-gay with fairy sprinkles on top. - Firstdaughter, on 03/21/2009, -2/+35Great list. I'm going to miss Adama and Roslin. That was a love story that I called from S1:E1. My friends didn't believe me :) They had great respect for each other from the beginning. A beautiful relationship.
And as a woman I'm going to miss Helo... ;) - Anomaly100, on 03/21/2009, -0/+33What about the real Cylons...the metal dudes, Centaurians (Is that right?). When they invaded New Caprica, marching down the aisles of hovels and tents they were living in, it was amazing. They did a great job with that.
And------------------>JUMP! - thephosphorbox, on 03/22/2009, -0/+29The thing I will miss most is actually having something on TV to look forward to :( *sigh*
- JDBagley, on 03/22/2009, -1/+26I can't pick any one thing that stands out about this show that I'll miss more than any other. It was so all-around fantastic that I almost cried as it ended - Lee staring off to the mountains and wanting to explore, Bill Adama promising to build that cabin in memory of Roslin, Baltar and Caprica Six reunited like they were always meant to be, and Romo leading the survivors off to live out the last days of humanity in peace. In whatever ways it failed, the power and beauty was still there outshining all its faults.
Safe voyages, Galactica. We'll miss you. - IphtashuFitz, on 03/22/2009, -2/+26#1 Six in skimpy outfits
#2 Sharon/Boomer/Athena in skimpy outfits
#3 Starbuck in skimpy outfits
#4 D'Anna in skimpy outfits
etc. - Chairboy, on 03/22/2009, -1/+25I liked to keep an eye on him.
- PityDaFool, on 03/22/2009, -1/+21RIP BSG
- Supermunch, on 03/22/2009, -0/+20I agree. One of the deepest and most conflicted heroes in recent TV history.
But it's not fair to not mention the whole cast, I'll miss them a lot - after all the show was about characters and they all worked hard to show us that.
Tricia Helfer went from "hot model for nerds to drool over" (in my mind) to a competent actress - Grace Park and her worked really hard during this last season, and they deserve major kudos. Katee Sackhoff also surprised me - there is now only one Starbuck. Tahmoh Penikett really made me feel sorry for his character, Helo - he was spot on during the whole series and as he got promoted I cheered for him.
Oh man, I can't believe it's over but I'm glad it is - now I'll reflect on it and wonder if, in my lifetime, I'll ever see a series this good. - blaou, on 03/22/2009, -0/+19I'm going to miss Galactica and Colonial One, the Rebel Basestar, the Raptors and Vipers and Raiders and the Zephyr (that iconic ship with the giant ferris wheel at the back).
I'm going to miss the Humans and the Cylons and the "head people" and the Hybrids and whatever the ***** Starbuck was.
I'm going to miss Caprica and Kobol and New Caprica.
I'm going to miss Bear McCreary's All Along the Watchtower
I'm going to watch the series again from the beginning.
What do you hear? - doublebummer, on 03/22/2009, -2/+21Is this the show with the Wookies and Klingons?
- viserov, on 03/22/2009, -0/+16Nothing but the rain.
- Sornos, on 03/22/2009, -0/+15Everything from the beginning of the Cylon occupation to the Exodus of New Caprica was fantastic. The ending of that one episode with a suicide bombing was just chilling.
- seantubridy, on 03/22/2009, -0/+15Tigh in skimpy outfits! Yeah! Who's with me?
(crickets) - viserov, on 03/22/2009, -0/+14Hopefully you two can patch things up.
- MacroDaemon, on 03/22/2009, -0/+13My favorite character and actor in the entire series.
- adml_shake, on 03/22/2009, -0/+13I agree with everything on this list. The biggest appeal to me was the fact that unlike star trek, or even Stargate (which became a more modern day version of Star Trek towards the end) they wern't dealing with all the latest and greatest tech and if something went wrong could just pull into a star base and get it fixed. It was great to watch them try and figure out how to make things stretch even further, try and milk more out of the machines, and find ways to get stuff fixed and kept running. God I'm really going to miss this show.
- JR__, on 03/22/2009, -6/+18At first, it was good. Then it started going downhill after season three (or maybe it was two). As for the series finale, it wasn't terrible; however, it didn't really make sense to me. So basically, everyone just gave up on technology and decided to just "blend in" with the natives? What about modern medicine, unknown diseases, toilet tissue; etc? Adama just goes off to bury Roslyn, build his cabin, and die? Starbuck's an angel? Sure. Maybe that's why John Cavil (cylon - Number 1) offed himself in the end; he just couldn't take the insanity anymore.
- decapitor, on 03/22/2009, -0/+11If you miss Helo he's also a character in Dollhouse which airs at the same time on Friday nights, just FYI.
- GaiusArchanus, on 03/22/2009, -1/+12I will miss Roslin saying "Throw that thing out the airlock." Wow. ! A president with real balls!
- oilcan, on 03/22/2009, -1/+12I get all emotional when I think on the fact that it's over. here's to the best tv series that has ever graced the screen. You'll be missed T_T
- jhails, on 03/22/2009, -0/+10Six, the red dress and Balthar
- Historian1974, on 03/22/2009, -0/+101. A smoking doctor in the future.
2. Six and Balthar
3. Adama and Roslin
4. Boomer
5. The whole frakin' thing - evets616, on 03/22/2009, -1/+11So Say We All.
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+10I'll miss Kara Thrace, what great casting, with that white trash grin, and those bony eyes, she had such a spirit, nobody like her. loved when she was chomping a cigar, or when she got that look in her eye, that wicked smile, and you just knew she was about to smash somebody good.
- b0ltacti0n, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9Grab your gun, and bring in the cat.
- Evilblobs, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9Stargate was decent fun until Anderson left...
...then i realized MacGyver was the biggest reason i liked the show. - Yage2006, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9I don't think it will have a safe voyage since its headed towards the sun.
- GREEDOnvrFIRED, on 03/22/2009, -2/+11Did someone say "drinks with Adama and Tigh"?
http://greedoneverfired.blogspot.com/2009/03/next- ... - azubi, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9GODS FRACKING DAMN IT SAUL YOU WILL BE MISSED!
Seriously he did a great job playing a grumpy alcoholic 2nd in command you could only love to hate :D - sockpuppets, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9You can say ***** on Digg.
- fightingforair, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9They'll get edited in for the later editions.
- jpowell180, on 03/22/2009, -1/+9Yeah, she definately made a better Starbuck than Face-Man from the A-Team.
Can you remember when folks complained that RDM was going to make Starbuck a woman? - prodigitalson, on 03/22/2009, -1/+8Tigh was my favorite. His internal conflicts and his realtionship with the old man will always stand out. Ive got friends, Ive got best friends... But that relationship is something on a whole other level.
- seantubridy, on 03/22/2009, -0/+7Gods damn frakkin right!
- LoudMusic, on 03/22/2009, -2/+9"This was televised science fiction made, for perhaps the first time in history, entirely for adults. Adults have sex and BSG was never afraid to jump in the sack."
Excuse me? Captain James T. Kirk would beg to differ. - tk0680, on 03/22/2009, -1/+8Kirk would beg to differ while canoodling with a hilariously green woman. Call me when she's bent over a desk with her dress pulled up around her waist and we'll see if she can hold a candle to Six in terms of "adult".
- Paulish, on 03/22/2009, -1/+8Sometimes when you tune in to entertainment you have to suspend your disbelief.
- Spoomeister, on 03/22/2009, -1/+8I HATED the part at the end. Preachy and awkward. Felt like a Star Trek ending. Just about broke the 4th wall.
They should have ended the series on that slow pull away from Adama, alone by Roslin's grave. - Halsfield, on 03/22/2009, -2/+8Loved the series, the ending threw me off a bit but it still had a nice ending to a terribly rough run for the crew. I liked the part at the end with the social commentary about robotics and animatronics and overpopulation and over'teching.
- azubi, on 03/22/2009, -0/+6The show itself was more than science fiction, it was fiction that dealt at times with
the same strugles we face today in the here and now. How our society and theirs is intertwined with politics, military, power, religion and prejudice. They did a great job bringing these topics into a story that continued to move forward and not always have the happy sterile ending. Sure we miss the CGI scenes, red dresses, lucy lawless, grace park, tricia helfer, but thank the gods for dvds. - kingofinternet, on 03/22/2009, -1/+7yeah it was a good show.
- 2Deluxe, on 03/22/2009, -1/+7I'm such a pussy, I cried at one point in the last ep :'(
Incase you're reading this and you havent seen it (you idiot) and you don't want it to be spoiled, You know the part I mean. - civdis24, on 03/22/2009, -0/+6He had the best grumblings ever.
frakin' gods damn cylons - Yage2006, on 03/22/2009, -0/+6They had a brand people knew. Now they don't/
Anyway no point keeping subbed to that channel anymore. - UNDERSTAR, on 03/22/2009, -0/+6YYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
- teshkovano, on 07/28/2009, -0/+6I just picked up the first season and am watching it now for the first time. At the time BSG started I already had two Stargate series I was following and wasn't interested in trying to track a third space show. Now I get to watch the whole series in one uninterrupted run, which is awesome ^_^
