- scarlettletter, on 07/08/2009, -1/+74Glad to know that cell phones will still work!
- Elsewhere42, on 07/08/2009, -1/+64Never heard of this until now. Something tells me this "leak" is just clever (free) viral advertising on the part of NBC.
When it comes out, I'll give it a shot. - sparkie, on 07/08/2009, -1/+49Holy overacting batman.
- Tanktunker, on 07/08/2009, -1/+33Man I remember how pissed Valve was when the "Meet the Spy" video was leaked.
- Blablah01, on 07/08/2009, -2/+30Sorry, but am i the only one who thought that looked really, really bad?
- eresig, on 07/08/2009, -9/+29I've been looking forward to this and I can't believe what I just saw. This looks like a big budget film. Impressive
- Asvetic, on 07/08/2009, -2/+19Maybe it's the poor quality of the video, but those special effects look a little undone.
- brinkofjon, on 07/08/2009, -3/+18Armageddon excited about this new series
- Elsewhere42, on 07/08/2009, -0/+14I was wondering the same thing. Everything is blown up and they get better reception than I do?
- BCNewfie2, on 07/08/2009, -0/+14LOL - Kind of like War of the Worlds when the video camera functions after the EMP but the car engines won't start! I hate flaws like that in Sci Fi.
- ragnar0kk, on 07/08/2009, -1/+14Exactly why would a studio be angry that a Trailer leaked??? It makes no sense at all, this is clearly a viral marketing attempt
- MofS, on 08/13/2009, -0/+13Yea I can't believe they actually fired all their employees cause of it.
- bgtees, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12I think the music at the end (instrumental) is from Truman Show.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -1/+11Looks like a long commercial for cell phones.
- ShiftyBizniss, on 07/09/2009, -0/+9yeah really.. "This whole world is dead. They just don't know it yet."
- plinstrot, on 07/08/2009, -3/+12In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A68QF8AxPsc - DallasG, on 07/08/2009, -2/+11This looks so ***** lame! My dog has produced better ideas in tightly coiled lumps on the lawn.
- missjb, on 07/08/2009, -4/+12I was expecting cheesy. those special effects were pro
- Neiby, on 07/09/2009, -0/+8Yep. This looks corny and formulaic as hell.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -4/+12Kings? Gone, NBC ***** canned it after the 3rd week. Left Behind: The Television Series (with bonus alien things!)? Yeah, that's a go.
Awesome job NBC, you rule. - inactive, on 07/08/2009, -0/+8In that case, my prediction is that it will have a long and healthy run.
- diemunkiesdie, on 07/08/2009, -0/+8Well now there are no buildings in between them and the cell towers!
/s - efice32, on 07/08/2009, -1/+9This looks like Lost + Cloverfield
are we sure NBC didn't kidnap JJ Abrams? - norman619, on 07/08/2009, -0/+7No. I looks like it's going to be another cornfest of series on NBC which will likely not make it through a whole season. This is NBC's answer to ABC's V.
- keithbelfast, on 07/08/2009, -12/+19Marketing Exec 1: "How do we publicize this sh*tty new drama?"
Marketing Exec 2: "Erm you're f*cked if I know, make it viral or some sh*t."
Marketing Exec 1: "I'm drunk and it's like 10 in the morning, I LOVE MY JOB."
Marketing Exec 2: "Pass me ALL the hookers, Trevor." - norman619, on 07/08/2009, -0/+7No worries if this show is any good NBC will kill it.
- bgtees, on 07/08/2009, -0/+6I really wish this was a limited series. Looks like a good premise, good fx, well cast...but like every other sci-fi show other than Lost & BSG, even on the remote possibility that it's successful, the network will probably run it into the ground.
- robish518, on 07/08/2009, -0/+6Yes... especially those "realistic" meteorites that slam into the skyline
- norman619, on 07/08/2009, -0/+6This is an invasion show. The Armageddon ref is misleading. At the end of the trailer you see alien structures forming at the impact sites. If anything this looks like NBC's attempt at competing with ABC's V remake.
- norman619, on 07/08/2009, -0/+5They make for great comedy though. They are more forgivable on TV than they are on the big screen.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -1/+6Looks stupid. Typical network garbage.
- LynxFX, on 07/08/2009, -1/+6Needs more lens flare.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+5lol "NBC is pissed that this trailer is leaked." I'd be pissed too that the finished trailer for an upcoming television show that my network is hosting is being advertised free of charge on the internet...right?
- RobbieF, on 07/09/2009, -0/+5"every ending has a beginning" .... what ending? what did I miss? wtf are they talking about?
- rft3rd, on 07/09/2009, -0/+4Brilliant!
- Bartboy919, on 07/08/2009, -4/+7WHAT!??! A drama on NBC that looks good? I haven't seen one of those since Heroes, and we all know how that turned out. Here's hoping it turns out good though.
- Sabin8, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3You forgot Stargate... that ***** was sooo gooooood.
- norman619, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3They prob showed you the best of thier CG shots. I'm betting the rest is pretty standard crappy TV show CG. The alien structures looked really bad to me. I'm betting the aliens look human to save money. I'll give this show a few episodes but I'm betting it's not going to be very good.
- filovirus, on 07/08/2009, -1/+4I will not trust any network to commit to compelling quality programming. They are slaves to advertising and ratings. If by chance they do support a quality program, I will jump on in season 2 or 3 after watching on Blu-Ray. CBS ***** me with Jericho and I refused to be ***** by network programming anymore.
- EricOfTheJames, on 07/08/2009, -2/+5 So can anyone else fill me in on what the ***** this is about?
I understand that it might be part of the plot, figuring out what's going on and such . . . but still. - inactive, on 07/08/2009, -3/+6Looks as awesome as Jericho. I give it 3 episodes.
- norman619, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3Alli3388:
The trailer for ABC's V looks awesome. I thought scifi was dead on network TV this coming season but it looks like it may not be.
I have pretty much given up on Heroes so maybe this show will be the one show that will have me watching NBC. I'll give it 3 or 4 episodes but based on the premise of the show and this trailer my hopes aren't very high. - MagnumVP, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2That is EXACTLY what I heard when that video was playing too. Very distinct.
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2I can't wait till december 22nd 2012 comes and all the ***** idiots who thought the world was gonna end on december 21st 2012 our in awe that we are all still here and the worlds ok, well not ok, but you know not ending anytime soon.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Well as long as one good science fiction series comes out of this I'll be happy.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2I know, but watching it is like a "dead man walking" sort of thing.
- scairborn, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Hopefully this doesn't get ***** stupid like Heroes after season 1.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -3/+5I was ready to discredit this as a lame series about the Armageddon, but then it looked cool.
- Mpwns, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1the end of man kind and the beginning of what ever attacked in the preview.
- RobbieF, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1LOL That makes sense:)
