- YME1280, on 11/10/2008, -0/+41Cleveland is funny and all but I was thinking Quagmire would be a better spin off possibility. Giggity Giggity!

Dugg for Hollywood Reporter beating Arianna to her own story. - bwjacket, on 11/10/2008, -2/+39This is a digg perfect storm: Family Guy and the creator of the Huffington Post.
If the link had actually come from the Post, this would already have 25k diggs. - inactive, on 11/10/2008, -1/+32Lemme guess, the voice of Arianna Huffington will be done by Seth MacFarlane
- missjb, on 11/10/2008, -3/+22does her dog character have a huge ego too?
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -1/+16Arianna Huffington...WTF...really??
- Tryptomine, on 11/11/2008, -2/+17Reminds me a bit too much of Futurama's "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" episode.
Family Guy's episode could be amusing, but I can't imagine it going anywhere near Futurama's greatness. - paradigmxx, on 11/11/2008, -2/+15The Quagmire Show would equate to exponentially more lulz.
- yohnstoppable, on 11/11/2008, -4/+17This show sounds pretty horrible.
- DEIx15x8, on 11/11/2008, -3/+14She can finally spew meaningless crap out of her mouth like a drunk and have an excuse.
- DankNugzPlz, on 11/11/2008, -0/+9My expectations for this show are low, but we'll see...
- starscream45, on 11/11/2008, -2/+11I want the imaginary Rupert to have his own series. That teddy bear head on the human body cracks me up every time.
- SupaFlyTNT, on 11/11/2008, -1/+10You put those percentages up as if it's a bad thing; funny is funny; why do people try to categorize it all the time?
Now when they start to become not funny; then maybe those things come into play. I still thoroughly enjoy family guy about 90%. - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -6/+14I am glad this is not on Huffpo, as I did not want to have to bury it.
- Hetman, on 11/11/2008, -3/+11I did not think it was going to be funny, Now that Arianna Hufington is on it I refuse to even turn it on.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+8If you think you should even consider taking political points from a cartoon t.v. show you're nuts.
- scoottie, on 11/11/2008, -2/+10i hope the bear gets the ***** kicked out of it at least 5 times in each episode
- tonynojutsu, on 11/11/2008, -2/+10hey Ariana, Remember the one time when you did the voice for a bear?
- c010rb1indusa, on 11/11/2008, -1/+8I agree but there are two things you have to look into here. One is that whoever gets a new show, also has to be booted from family guy, so which character would you most like to see go from Family Guy...I'd go with Cleveland. Plus Cleveland is one of the most underdeveloped characters on the show, giving the writers a lot more freedom. So I'm kind of glad it's Cleveland that's getting the show
- RudeTurnip, on 11/11/2008, -2/+9I'm looking forward to the episode where Brian tries to legalize pot and the abortion episode.
- TexanRudeBoy, on 11/11/2008, -9/+15I don't see how they expect anything out of this show. Family Guy is already known for their comlpete lack of depth and creativity. Most of their shows consist of:
40% random pop culture references that only require the viewer to recognize them
40% sad running jokes i.e. the chicken fight, Peter hitting his knee, wacky waving inflatable...
20% actual comedy
How in the world do people expect a spin-off to be anything else? - DankNugzPlz, on 11/11/2008, -0/+6Her addition wouldn't cause a "sudden" liberal bias. Family Guy already has a liberal bias, she'll just add to it.
- fearlessfx, on 11/11/2008, -3/+9"In one episode, Stewie kidnaps the cast of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." They (the original cast members) all came back, reunited to do their voices for us."
I have to say that i'm actually really looking forward to this one lol - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -7/+12Dugg for NOT being HUFFPO GARBAGE!
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -2/+6How dare you insult faildog by comparing him to Arianna Huffington!
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -1/+5c'mon now, there's no mention of steve jobs
- omegared, on 11/11/2008, -3/+7old family guy was funny, new family guy is painful to watch, and only good sometimes.
- enantiodromia, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4Buried as accurate
- yohnstoppable, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4Meh, Family Guy is still pretty good for some cheap laughs. It knows what it is, and does it very well. I wouldn't put it in the same category as Southpark and The Simpsons at their relative peaks, but I'll still watch it if it's on.
- bjornski, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3Your TV doesn't have more than one channel?
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3"Good news, bad news and surprising news for "Family Guy" fans. Fox has ordered a full season of the upcoming "Family Guy" spinoff "The Cleveland Show." But the network has decided to push the comedy's debut date to next fall..."
I take it the latter is the good news, correct? - supferrets, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3Why did they choose the most one-dimensional, boring character for a spin-off? What about Quagmire? Stewie? Brian?
- whatthefu, on 11/11/2008, -1/+4I'd rather them not do them at all and focus their best writers on Family Guy.
- Barackalypse, on 11/11/2008, -2/+5Finally, a medium better suited to Arrianna's talent, mindless caricature.
- thedez, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3Seth has a $100 million contract. Just saying.
- Schug, on 11/11/2008, -1/+4Am I the only one who this will all turn out to be a big prank in the end?
- antdude, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3What is going to be shown since this was supposed to be shown over American Dad during the spring?
- badfrog, on 11/11/2008, -2/+5Yay. First she's plastered all over my favorite web pages, now she's invading my favorite cartoons.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2Ugh, another "Family Dad" type show. UUUUUGGGGGHHHH!!!!!
Something fresh please... - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -4/+6facepalms all around for this thing.
I guess some people can't get enough of tv shows about cartoon families with their own talking creature sidekicks. - scottja35, on 11/11/2008, -2/+4This is the kind of submission that will give us an exact tally of how many teenagers are on digg.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -2/+4Family Guy has only two kinds of jokes - bathroom humor and un-PC jokes. (Ollie the Weatherman, etc.)
- ZenFu, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2♫ "He's Quagmire, Quagmire
You never really know what he's gonna do next
He's Quagmire, Quagmire
Giggity giggity giggity giggity, let's have sex!" - randydaytona, on 11/12/2008, -2/+4Shes such a *****.
- Aleut, on 11/11/2008, -2/+4Stop giving Seth more TV shows! It hurts!
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2We all do.
- Bith8654, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2I realize your word is law, so please help me understand my dilemma. When I watch Family Guy, I laugh. In fact, sometimes I laugh a lot. Clearly the show isn't funny since you said so, so can you please help me make sense of this?
- surfacewound, on 11/11/2008, -1/+3Why would they have to get the boot from Family Guy? Sure they wouldn't be in it as much but there's no need to axe the character from the show. Cleavland was never in Family Guy all that much in the first place so I don't see why much would be required to change.
I wouldn't be surprised if they occasionally had a scene in one show that tied into the other. - bontzmachine, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1the plots will be divined from black, european accented walruses
- MrFurious2k, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1What... was Rosie O'Donnell not available?
