- sklassen, on 09/18/2009, -1/+252Good lord it's like an SNL skit.
- Crazysticks, on 09/18/2009, -5/+222This video isn't about Andy Richter.
- bonytony21, on 09/19/2009, -7/+195I loved watching this.
Andy's clearly a smart guy (he won Celebrity Jeopardy in '99), and his combination of intelligence and pop culture made this no contest.
What's really interesting about this is that news media hosts continue to prove that they are not intelligent beings. Not only was Wolf not smart enough to answer the questions right, he wasn't smart enough to know how the game works. Near the end, he seemed to get desperate in thinking that answering anything is better than not answering at all, which we all know isn't the case since you get docked points, leading to his -4600 total. He continued to answer the "E Times 3" category with words that didn't contain three E's. I actually felt like Trebek should've just let the "Julia Childs" mistake slide since it was clear Wolf was getting nowhere.
I dream of a world where all news is delivered by people with at least half of the intelligence and eloquence of Jon Stewart. - 1Bad, on 09/18/2009, -2/+165Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kdF5SAy4CM

Ever see the video of Al Franken calmly explaining health care reform to a mob of angry teabaggers? Ever see Robin Williams play a serial killer? Jon Stewart is considered one of the best interviewers on television? Now Andy Richter kicks ass at Jeopardy?
I'm becoming convinced that Comedians are the ones to watch out for. It's like, if you can master comedy, everything else is a breeze. - postitnote, on 09/19/2009, -1/+132States that end in "Hampshire": This is the only state that ends in Hampshire.
- sibos, on 09/19/2009, -1/+121If you watched the previous night's Conan, Andy showed them rehersing before the actual live taping of their episode, and Wolf did terrible. Andy didn't comment on how well the Blitz did on the actual episode, but he actually did worse. Here's the Tonight show's preview:

Also, I love how Alex tries to cover by saying Andy was just quicker on the buzzer. - atroxodisse, on 09/19/2009, -5/+85Not so fast Trebec! Your mother's a whore!
- mannayz, on 09/19/2009, -2/+80Blitzer - "What is the defendant?"
Trebek - "No."
Buzzer
Trebek - "The answer is...the defense...each response must have three Es. Defendant, does not." - emerica403, on 09/19/2009, -3/+75Fancy seeing you here Trebec.
- MrSparkle666, on 09/19/2009, -0/+66That wasn't an episode of Jeopardy. It was a massacre.
- jmp478, on 09/19/2009, -1/+64You don't have to be intelligent to deliver news. You just have to be able to read a promopter.
Watch Nancy Grace, for example... - pointsguy, on 09/19/2009, -0/+55Ok, Blitzer is just retarded. Someone get him a helmet.
- 1Bad, on 09/19/2009, -0/+52His next answer in the same category was annotation...
- r3m1x645, on 09/19/2009, -2/+52He did it on purpose; he likes the color red. That's why he looked so depressed when they gave him another $1000.
- wizzroom, on 09/19/2009, -4/+52just as in real life, it's not what you know but who you know. except here you have to have absolutely no ***** life for your post to make it to top post list. making it there serves as a testament to how much time you waste here "networking" with people who you'll never meet and whose only benefit to you is to lift up your ego with their diggs of approval.
yea so don't feel so bad...here's a digg to make you feel better. - Battz, on 09/19/2009, -10/+53I reported this story yesterday to 0 Diggs.
Sigh. - smacksaw, on 09/19/2009, -1/+41"Dana?"
"I'll take 'The Rapists' for $400."
"It's 'Therapists', Dana"
"Suck it, Trebek!" - aalmeida259, on 09/19/2009, -6/+45Wow Blitzer got shizered on.
- pointsguy, on 09/19/2009, -11/+47This is the guy who delivers news to America. No wonder Bill Maher said most of America is stupid.
- SinisterSaracen, on 09/19/2009, -3/+35I'll take Famous Titties for four hundred.
- Sail3, on 09/19/2009, -1/+32Damn, Andy's a smart dude.
- Super6, on 09/19/2009, -0/+31They seriously need to book Connery for one of these
- smacksaw, on 09/19/2009, -1/+30If I was Wolf and losing that badly, I would have written "Kebert Xela" for my final jeopardy answer.
- Dgen_X, on 09/19/2009, -2/+31It isn't...and in a way...it is.
cosmic - LPfmAAF, on 09/19/2009, -0/+28I will never underestimate Andy Richter again.
- MrMongoose, on 09/19/2009, -1/+28Because some people don't know when to use "trivial" instead of "trivia"?
/kidding, although I disagree. Being good at Jeopardy! requires a breadth and depth of knowledge, and the ability to rapidly process cryptic contextual clues and retrieve that knowledge ... hence, intelligence (as I would define it). - macmcraeart, on 09/19/2009, -3/+26why do i get the feeling that wolf blitzer is one of the biggest ***** on the planet?
- pilot3033, on 09/19/2009, -3/+26I agree with you, but I don't think Jeopardy is a great way to measure intelligence. It's actually an interesting social question: intelligence is such a multi-faceted thing, yet we gauge it in very trivia ways - why?
- smacksaw, on 09/19/2009, -4/+26Jon thinks on his feet in interviews. No dice on that theory of yours there bro...
- doomestic, on 09/19/2009, -1/+23Don't forget George Carlin... Anyone would tell you that Comedy is probably the toughest thing to do.
- redhawktech, on 09/19/2009, -3/+23hate to break it to you but that says nothing about Jon being smart or stupid, just prepared.
- legoalert33, on 09/19/2009, -1/+21"I'll take 'Jap Anus Relations' for 200."
- ELCad, on 09/19/2009, -0/+20Very true. You don't get a negative score just by being slow on the button.
That saddest part is that Celebrity Jeopardy has the easiest question ever. Even Kid's week is harder. - IllBeBack, on 09/19/2009, -0/+19That would be the most epic episode of Jeopardy ever, right up until we find out that Connery knows even less than Wolf.
- mediaphile, on 09/19/2009, -2/+20It's not a script when he's interviewing people. Question prompts, yes, but Stewart knows how to carry an intelligent conversation.
- dustinmacdonald, on 09/19/2009, -6/+24Wolf is a dolt.
- hackiavelli, on 09/19/2009, -0/+17http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHnX-fqlo1M
- norwegianlegion, on 09/19/2009, -1/+17You'll notice in his interviews Wolf rarely even talks, he just introduces a segment and ties them together with commercial breaks. When he is doing an interview, he'll just ask open ended questions, let them talk forever, and then ask another question; he rarely comments.
He got famous during The Persian Gulf War because A) He was the only reporter in Baghdad (I think) when it happened, and thus the only one with the scoop and the proper backdrop, and thus he did coverage for everyone, and B) His name was Wolf ***** Blitzer. Also, the facial hair helps the image.
So yea, if you've seen him before this you'd know he's not all that bright. He's just a face. - pointsguy, on 09/19/2009, -2/+18The best part is when Trebek tries to cover for Wolfman by saying that Andy Richter is quicker with his thumb. Meanwhile the Wolf-fool is standing there without a clue. He may as well have stuck that thumb up his arse.
- zacbro, on 09/19/2009, -3/+19You're an idiot.
- werdywerd, on 09/19/2009, -2/+18Great Odin's raven!
- ogre2112, on 09/19/2009, -2/+17The fact that your sentence made no sense proves that you are one of those stupid Americans.
- Poonchow, on 09/19/2009, -0/+15Who is Kanye West?
- MCA2142, on 09/19/2009, -0/+14He controls the universe. Everything is about him.
- samcrut, on 09/19/2009, -1/+15Wolf didn't have a chance. That big wall of teleprompter screens across from him just kept sitting there not telling him what to say. On the "crash" response he tried to read the teleprompter, but it didn't work out.
- Amadeus2490, on 09/19/2009, -9/+22Wolf *****.
- cryonix, on 09/19/2009, -0/+12http://www.hulu.com/watch/96127/the-tonight-show-w ...
During the rehearsal show Blitzer didn't even put down an answer for the super easy Final Jeopardy question: This character says "It's Christmas Day! I haven't missed it. The spirits have done it all in one night."
Andy: "I wonder if maybe I shouldn't have been so smart In rehearsal. Maybe that's what Blitzer's doing. Maybe Blitzer tanked on purpose to lull us into a false sense of security... sneeky, sneeky, Blitzer" - DanteX, on 09/19/2009, -0/+11In Law & Order SVU he was #&@!ing crazy.
