- LoveAndSeagulls, on 08/31/2008, -5/+582the ***** was that question at the end.
pizza questions?
seriously, wtf? - eg330, on 08/30/2008, -6/+570i guess it's solely up to MIT undergrads to shed light on rfid hacks
- dsmx, on 08/30/2008, -1/+512That is very worrying if there not willing to even let mythbusters test how hackable they are it makes you think just how secure are they?
- KrazyGamerHead, on 08/31/2008, -2/+466I'll take this as Myth Plausible since the credit card companies won't let it be tested. They don't want the bad publicity so they'll keep it shut up.
- Kumah, on 08/31/2008, -16/+476***** THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES
- behindtheskins, on 08/31/2008, -11/+317***** your pizza bitch
- robdiggity, on 08/30/2008, -0/+272simple question: if the good-intentioned smart guys are prevented from auditing the tech upon which we rely, then WHO will end up testing, discovering and bypassing its limitations?
simple answer: the bad-intentioned smart guys.
what more does one need to see/hear to understand that this is a policy custom-designed to ensure we all get screwed? - Asianwaste, on 08/31/2008, -1/+243a better CRUST!!!!!
- jaromdl, on 08/31/2008, -0/+234I was actually more interested what Adam said toward his feelings about other science shows.
To that I say this:
Right on, Man. Right On. That's exactly what we need. - sockpuppets, on 08/31/2008, -1/+221I'm sure the majority of the crowd wanted to strangle her at that point.
- Pandatot, on 08/31/2008, -1/+202She kept going on and on and on and on.
We get it lady, Tiles, Pizza, Oven. Shut up already. - GregFD3S, on 08/31/2008, -5/+159Doesn't anybody realize he's wearing a shirt that says "Make Stuff Up"?
Hyneman/Savage '08 - SKUBASTEVESD, on 08/31/2008, -0/+146What an awesome down to earth guy, great to see when there are so many dicks on TV
- Dylson, on 08/31/2008, -7/+142Dicks.
- Onji, on 08/31/2008, -0/+123I love how when Adam mentions Smash Lab everyone boos and he's just like "I know, I know..."
It's good to hear that everyone has a mutual hate for Smash Lab. - hawkspur, on 08/31/2008, -0/+108Security via obscurity isn't the way to go. RFID isn't a viable technology until they increase the security standards significantly, otherwise you might as well just give your RFID-enabled credit cards to the identity thieves.
- MrDo, on 08/31/2008, -2/+108I like that the video ends with the stupid pizza question "and pizza stone blah blah.." CUT
- KableKiB, on 08/31/2008, -1/+96ROFL at the last 20 seconds. Lets get a better CRUST!
- mrsteveman1, on 08/31/2008, -1/+81OK, so *****:
(x) George Bush
(x) IFPI
(x) RIAA
(x) MPAA
(x) Credit card companies
We have it covered :D - york2600, on 08/31/2008, -0/+76They don't have to use a legal theory. They just say "We're going to pull all advertisement from your network and affiliate networks"
- sweetbean, on 08/31/2008, -2/+78Hallf of that video was that lady trying to pitch her damn microwaveable ceramic dish NY pizza crust emulator.
- btschul, on 08/31/2008, -0/+73When will companies learn that stuff like this or covering up information or confiscating film and trying to shut people up in a world where there is internet and nothing is secret is ALWAYS more damaging than just letting the info out. In this case, if they had let Jamie and Adam test the RFID chips, they would probably would have found that with the right info and the right equipment and enough time that, like everything else electronic, the RFID chips are hackable. But the fact that these companies wouldn't let them do it make it seem like there is a huge problem with the chips and thet they are completely unsecure.
- silverharbinger, on 08/31/2008, -1/+73My quote of the day:
"I happen to be at home right now cutting up cerami-.. *unglazed ceramic tiles* to make a better pizza.. BETTER PIZZA!"
I don't know what Adam's response was to her, but I would have said:
"..but then they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for my Swingline stapler." - Pronation, on 08/31/2008, -2/+72MAKE BETTER P1ZZA!
- jeffvvisoft, on 08/31/2008, -1/+71They should see how hackable voting machines are...
Oh wait, Discovery Channel will cave... nevermind - ChaosProfessor, on 08/31/2008, -3/+69That bitch loves her pizza
- effect1, on 08/31/2008, -0/+62Hah! The joke's on you! I'm not even wearing pants! Wait...
- Kumah, on 08/31/2008, -1/+56Them too.
- wireframework, on 08/31/2008, -7/+59I think Tyler Durden would side with Tory and Adam on this one.
- Jones82, on 08/31/2008, -0/+49Dude, you dugg "Marry me Leslie"
- Spire3660, on 08/31/2008, -0/+48I cannot understate how much respect I have for these guys. Yes, I realize their tests arent truly scientific. Its as scientific as the marketable audience will allow.
- Reasonableguy, on 08/31/2008, -1/+48I'm just kinda curious: how many of you diggers really like the show? I do. It's entertaining, if nothing else.
- Jonmad17, on 08/31/2008, -2/+46But not the RIAA?
- sweetbean, on 08/31/2008, -1/+45New Yorkers and their pizza....
- Theknightinhell, on 08/31/2008, -2/+46Pizza fetish?
- miketgt, on 08/31/2008, -0/+41And SmashLab sucks ass
- quomen, on 08/31/2008, -0/+40Well the point is to get public exposure of it. Mythbusters has a viewership of millions.
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -1/+38I need to stick it in my OVEN, to get a better CRUST.
Stop emphasizing every damn word! - Twinfire0, on 08/31/2008, -0/+35Link to Part 11, where Adam responds to the weird pizza lady: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZRmms0sZ8w
'Cause we're all into having this good thin CRUST pizza...
YEAHHHH---- - Pronation, on 08/31/2008, -4/+39Bitch, MAKE BETTER PIZZA!
- MrFurious2k, on 08/31/2008, -1/+34The whole idea of burying "hacks for XXXX system" discussions is so flawed. All it does is ensure that such systems are exploited by a lower amount of knowledge since any sort of critical analysis is discouraged. We as a society would be so much better off if we allowed open discussions about the vulnerabilities of systems.
- shadeOfGrey, on 08/31/2008, -1/+33Pizza pizza pizza I love pizza pizza makes me wet you should do a whole show about pizza *****!

- kingdomdude, on 08/31/2008, -0/+26I only watch hoping they do an episode on pizza crust.
I'm a foodie you know. - hobbes84k, on 08/31/2008, -0/+25The credit card companies implied to Discovery Channel that they would pull advertising dollars if an episode exploring the hackability of credit cards were to air. Discovery Channel, thus, won't let Mythbusters test because it would be a waste of money since they could never air the results without losing revenue.
- GregFD3S, on 08/31/2008, -6/+31Tory to the credit card companies:
"***** you i'm a Mythbuster!" -
