- Shatterpulse, on 11/14/2007, -5/+69Give bauer a knife and 10 minutes and they will write the rest of the season.
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -12/+57I will write the second half for free if they want. In fact, I bet a lot of aspiring writers still in college would.
- lieutenantmudd, on 11/14/2007, -0/+29Tonight on 12....
- omnirusa, on 11/14/2007, -6/+35Lies, no one can stop Jack Bauer!
Oh wait, cops can... damnit - MikeonTV, on 11/10/2007, -5/+33They should produce the show without the writers. I can't be as bad as last season....gee did Jack jump? I don't know....looks like we'll have to wait!
- NCSUspoon, on 11/10/2007, -1/+24Dugg for "Damn it"
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -1/+23Calm down, George, and quit playing on digg.
There's work to be done in the White House. - look4alec, on 11/09/2007, -5/+24I knew that they were pulling it out of their ass as they went along. Why not just use the same plot from last seasons, change the names and ethnicities? I thought that is what they do anyways.
- logicalnoise, on 11/10/2007, -0/+18last WGA strike lasted 22 weeks.
- Hittman6, on 11/10/2007, -0/+18People who did that during the 88 strike made a few bucks, but once the strike was over they never worked in the industry again.
- mbierman, on 11/10/2007, -0/+16Who needs Jack when we can see stories of torture and extra-ordinary rendition every night on the news.
- paulg2000, on 11/09/2007, -1/+14If they can reanimate Tony Almeida, they can do anything.
- Jareth86, on 11/10/2007, -1/+13In a way, I'm glad this happened. Writers have gotten the ***** shaft for years, shunted the background, never getting a fraction of the credit they deserve. When a new show or movie is advertised, it's always billed as "From the director who brought you..." or "From the producer of...". When is the last time you heard "From the writer who brought you..."? I hope the public takes note of all the great shows now collapsing under this strike. Even though its not the point of the strike, perhaps these guys will finally get a fraction of the credit they deserve.
- willclarke, on 11/09/2007, -1/+11This is a ploy by the networks. Announce much beloved shows are not coming back to get viewers on their side. They're specifically doing it with 24 because they know a lot of conservatives like the show (not all the viewers, but a lot of them) and the anti-union message will resonate with them.
Don't worry, 24 will be back once the networks stop being greedy and give their writers the extra $0.04 per dvd and small share of internet revenue. - psuchad, on 11/09/2007, -0/+10That was the best source you could find?
- TimmyGUNZ, on 11/08/2007, -2/+11How about they scrap everything they have so far. Seeing Tony Almeda back from the dead (allegedly) has already made me lose a ton of interest in this upcoming season.
- KicktheDonkey, on 11/09/2007, -41/+50Good. I say cancel it. The show sucks, anyway.
- NoahK, on 11/09/2007, -2/+11Direct link to article, bypassing blog: http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/james-hibberd/2007/11/ ...
- WNW3, on 11/13/2007, -1/+10SPOILER: Jack Bauer screams at someone saying, "I'M A CTU AGENT!" and "I DON'T HAVE TIME TO EXPLAIN!" and "YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO TRUST ME!". Sometimes all at once!
- skunkman62, on 11/10/2007, -0/+8"I will write the second half for free"
eps 1:Jack wakes up, reads the paper, performs the 3 S's
eps 2: Jack gets caught in LA traffic.
eps 3: still in traffic
1st 3 hours are done...Next. - bobbytuck, on 11/10/2007, -4/+12Then you would be a "scab" -- and would never, ever write for the entertainment industry again.
Scabbing is not cool. Support the writers (and the strike). - Jrr6415sun, on 11/10/2007, -1/+9to be honest, I think this is hurting the writers more than it is hurting the big networks.. sure the networks are losing millions, but they make billions and can afford the loss for a few months.. the writers.. are making nothing during this strike and have to support their families. The networks know the writers deserve the raise and payment, and i'm 100% positive they will give in.. they are just holding back to show the writers that if you want a raise, we're not going to give in that easily.. otherwise they would be asking for raises and payments all the time.
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -1/+9Suggestion for the next season= Jack vs Chuck Norris.
- modsuperstar, on 11/09/2007, -3/+11I could really care less about 24. I just fear this is a precursor to the inevitable LOST announcement, which would blow balls since we already had to wait 9 months for the show to come back. Since there has been eerie silence about the show since this strike started only makes me worry more about it.
- joshuaer, on 11/09/2007, -0/+7how does your stuff get on the front page all the time all you have 19 ads 4 lines of text and no facts to back any thing up, also what is with that ugly logo!
- MaynardJK, on 11/09/2007, -2/+9The first five seasons will turn out to just be a dream or some *****.
- cloudyprison, on 11/10/2007, -1/+7SPOILER: Jack Bauer screams at someone saying, "WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?!".
- AnotherTechie, on 11/09/2007, -0/+6Dammit Chloe, what happened to the writers?! WHAT HAPPENED to the writers Chloe?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WRITERS ?!?!
The ol' "Don't make me ask you three times" trick works all the time. - Anub1s, on 11/09/2007, -5/+10Meh, show sucked anyways.
- ats314, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5Many of them could probably do a better job at it.
- DesuKN, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5About time that happened
- defectDS, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4SPOILER: DAMMIT CHLOE!
- zombiedepot, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4Maybe this will change things, but most people don't even think about writers and are content with mediocre talent shows. As for the film industry, well they could just as easily blame piracy for not paying writers enough.
- fohf, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4not only is Tony back. he is the main terrorist at the start of the season. WTF is that?!
- skyfire1, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3How hard can it be? Just use the Tom Clancy Plot Generator.
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=fi ... - one321, on 11/09/2007, -1/+4I wonder if this has more to do with his recent arrest.
http://www.wwtdd.com/index.phtml?t=KIEFER+SUTHERLA ... - MattZed, on 11/13/2007, -0/+3SPOILER: Don't watch the sixth season, it sucks after the first four episodes. Especially don't watch the finale.
- zombiedepot, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3They'll have to make counter-terrorism into a reality TV show now. You know because of the strike they will eventually replace all the shows with crap like American Idol.
- catalysis, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3No, they continue writing and filming as the show airs.
- th3gh05t, on 11/09/2007, -6/+9Good, cause it's the worst show anyway.
- lpmiller, on 11/09/2007, -4/+7Not even the Chinese could take out Jack....Perhaps the pen truly is mightier.
- accelleron, on 11/10/2007, -1/+4Your monitor doesn't have enough pixels for the pwn3d that would be the proper reply to this.

- paulg2000, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2Yep, or check these out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZFiVproc2w http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Ne ...
- hordak, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2Or how about the official trailer site, foolios! http://www.24trailer.com
- jdotter, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2So true. Getting a bit too soap operaish. Anytime I don't see a Dr. declare someone dead and/or put into a body bag I assume they could come back. The rotting corpse of Victor Drazen is bound to show up in season 8. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge 24 fan but a break from some of this stuff is needed.
- mohammadahsan, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2finally jack bauer can get a day off..
- bpmox, on 11/10/2007, -1/+3I think you would be surprisingly disappointed
- KevinRoseMustDy, on 11/10/2007, -1/+3They would have to call it '5'.... minutes
