      Overall, the commercials have been a let down. Everyone is trying too hard.

The commercials used to be good, but once the moment came when "the commercials are better than the game", thats when they started to suck. The game is to determine the champion of the NFL, not which company can put the most dancing animals in a 30-second slot. I would have rather watched nothing but CBS promos than looked at those ads.

But with the ***** coverage they had ("Filmed in HD" -that's *****- my camcorder could do better than they did), and horrible play-by-play the provided I can see why they wouldn't bother supporting Firefox, or anything other than IE.

    I hope the few companies dumb enough to waste money on these ads end up posting loses Q1 this year.

All those graphics/markers showing line of scrimage and first down make you feel like like should be wearing a helmet so I don't hurt myself. Thanks NFL for ruining the game. Commercials were more entertaining, and I was rooting for the Colts.

    Save for the Careerbuilder ones, the rest were pretty forgettable.

  • charmaniac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was too busy having a blast with my friends and my friends kid to be bothered with any of the commercials, or even half the gameplay. I did, however, glance cursorily towards the television set and caught the Coke / Grand Theft Auto commercial which I liked for its sarcastic yet "feel good" message.

    Also, the halftime show freaking ROCKED. It was Prince! He actually plays his own instruments, and he played purple rain, while it was raining with purple lights illuminating the raindrops. He had a college marching band with cool light up uniforms!! What more could you ask for?????

    You sure as hell better not say Britney Spears and NSync - now THAT was a halftime show that sucked balls.

    But yeah, overall the superbowl kinda sucked. The Colts won, and Manning got MVP so prepared to be assaulted next year by Manning commercials which involve him wearing even more fake moostaches and birthing Alien 2 style out of a football.
