DJ Jazzy Jeff said something along the lines of "Wow, you look different somehow" and also pointed out how Aunt Vivian's new born was some how like 5 years old saying something like "Wow, he grew up fast."

But thats not the mystery, the mystery is how the hell did that episode pass onto to tv without the writers or anybody catching the obvious mistake.

Supposed Death
Monroe's Tombstone shown in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily"
Although it was never specifically shown Dr. Monroe was considered to have died. He stopped appearing on TV and his business closed down. Many people in Springfield also believed him to be dead because several things had been named after him; Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital, and a school gym. His grave is shown in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddly" and in "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular" he, along with Bleeding Gums Murphy, is said to have died "over the past year". However several years later he spontaneously appeared in "Diatribe of a Mad Housewife" at Marge's book signing. Marge, shocked to see him, explained that she thought he was dead. Dr. Monroe explained that he had "been very sick". It is unknown who built his grave, or why he was seemingly buried with no body in evidence.

Kirk's personal secretary and ADC, did not return after the first season. No one ever gave any explanation for this, on any script. The actual story was that Grace Lee Whitney, who portrayed her, took to drink and became, quite simply, unreliable. She came back in the first of the motion pictures, then was seen in a cameo in ST3, and in ST6 she was Capt. Sulu's comm officer on *Excelsior*.

He was on the show as the condom guy earlier (at least according to imdb) and then returned as his brother. It's plausible that you wouldn't remember a random kid you met while playing guitar or a random guitar playing street performer. This is phoebe and her 1/2 brother. Pretty sure they both would be pretty good at forgetting stuff like that.
