Who snaps peoples' necks with their feet?!? Seriously, WTF? - fotd42, on 10/11/2007, -3/+132At first I thought it was the smoke monster coming out of the jungle to mess ***** up, but it was Hurley charging into the fray in the VW bus. Way better.
- Jrr6415sun, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10711. The showdown between Locke and Jack? That was intense, I thought Locke might shoot Jack or Ben at any second.
12. Charlie saying, "it's Ben? tell him I said hi!" - mretx, on 10/11/2007, -6/+110hurley rocks!!
- Jon211, on 10/11/2007, -0/+98The funeral parlor Jack went to was called HOFFS/DRAWLAR, an anagram of FLASH FORWARD.
- grizwald, on 10/11/2007, -2/+98"Attention Others... Come in Others" -- Hurley
- mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -26/+110Jack Bauers a bitch.
- neuros, on 10/11/2007, -6/+84or getting out of the damn room and closing the door behind him. they sure made it seem as if he had enough time...
- gnslngr1919, on 10/11/2007, -3/+78Don't hold your breath.
- doodlebumm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+71When will characters learn to put a bullet into the forehead of the "dead guy" on the floor before he becomes the "not really dead guy" that screws everything up?
- mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -2/+73Walt looks about 23, he looked furious, straight up gangsta. He'd kick my ass in a fight.
Everyone keeps forgetting to mention when they fake shot Sayid, Bernard, and Jin. That was intense. - CaptMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -3/+70Charlie didn't get away because he didn't want to get away. Every time he had avoided death, it changed the events after and he was still slated to die. (Naomi appearing instead of Penny for example) He sacrificed himself knowing that it would mean that Claire and Aaron would eventually be rescued.
- PhiKapChappy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+68Why did Jin keep missing the dynamite? I thought Juliet said that now that he was on the island, he was no longer shooting blanks!
- mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -3/+70FLASH FORWARD FOR THE LAST ***** TIME.
His father is dead, he was drugged. He and Sarah are divorced, she's pregnant, there's Kate. HE ***** TELLS HER "We need to go back!" What more do you need? - SamKellett, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6213. Mikhail just WON'T ***** DIE!
- wm2010russ, on 10/11/2007, -9/+60he had to sacrifice himself- thats what was in the vision desmond had. it plays into the whole sacrifice/redemption theme in the show. if you still cant understand why charlie did it, then that just goes to show you that its incomprehensible how strongly charlie felt that if he didnt die then no one would get rescued.
Besides, his death may not have had any immediate effects on them getting rescued, but i guarantee you that down the road there will be a moment when you think to yourself, 'oh, i guess it was a good thing that he died otherwise such and such event never would have occurred, thus leaving them still stranded on the island."
think about it - bradwilke, on 10/11/2007, -2/+51For those who don't believe that it was a FLASHFORWARD, Jack tells Kate that he was using the "Golden Tickets they gave us." Free Pass Golden Tickets would be the airlines way of saying "Sorry we crashed your ass on some island"
- CaptMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -2/+50Aside from everything Jack and Kate said about the island and going back, if anything points to the time frame, it was Jack's phone, a Motorola KRZR, which wasn't realeased until late 2006. The events on the island take place in 2004, which means the flashforward had to happen later.

C-C-C-COMBO BLOCKLIST BREAKER!!!!!!!!! - miyamotofreak, on 10/11/2007, -1/+48I thought the best moment was when Sawyer killed Tom.
- strydr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+47OK, they missed my favorite part, when Rouso asked Alex to help her tie up Ben.
- meetch, on 10/11/2007, -8/+54Sayid > Jack Bauer, end of story.
- mt066, on 10/11/2007, -2/+45The beard/sunglasses/denim jacket was ***** smooth. I hope denim jackets are cool again in the future.
- litolist, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41I wonder if the two girls in the Looking Glass get it on...I mean think about it, they're the only ones there!!!!
- tcquad, on 10/11/2007, -4/+38@saleem
Or he could have left the room and sealed it from the outside. Granted, the whole prophecy thing could have gone sideways after that, and he might think that's more important, but it was an odd moment. - mt066, on 10/11/2007, -1/+34I'd be pissed if he wasn't dead. He was a good character but there was a whole episode (and parts of several other episodes) about how Charlie's gotta die. And it all built up so perfectly. If they came back like "haha just kidding he's not dead" it would be crappy writing.
- ManIs5, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32A couple of people mentioned my favorite part: when Sawyer kills Tom. But you're missing Sawyer's great line: "That's for taking the boy off the raft."
- saleem, on 10/11/2007, -10/+41instead of trying to swim out a window and try to make it, he sacrificed himself to warn desmond that its not penny's boat-- naomi is a fraud
- AlexBryan, on 10/11/2007, -12/+41They forgot to mention;
11. Future Jack's "Sparta" beard. "Flashback? This.. Is.. FLASHFORWARD!" - Cerebral, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28Charlie being a badass after he has come to the decision that he WAS going to turn off the jammer should have made the list.
Going along with jrr6415sun's Charlie Quote the other part I loved was while he was tied up:
"What are you here for again?"
"I am going to go in there and turn off your jamming equipment..."
Those two chicks didn't know what to think of him at that point in time. - ajrizzo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+31Unacceptable. When a full episode consists of two of the main characters hunting for a loud frog, you MUST enjoy it!
- aresef, on 10/11/2007, -2/+28Remember, when Desmond laid the ground rules for this flash, he said that in order for all of this wonderful stuff to happen, Charlie had to die.
- Jrr6415sun, on 10/11/2007, -5/+30that's what 23 year olds look to you? He looks about 16 to me. Still badass though.
- sekou, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25When it's all said and done, I'm glad I stuck by this season. Those last two hours were a reward.
- jedioniram, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28Couldn't he have just stepped outside the room and close the door (I think it could be closed from the other side), and even if he couldn't, Desmond and he would have more time to get the oxygen tanks and swim away... He didn't do anything important while in that room, he just kind of locked himself in.
- jdibiase, on 10/11/2007, -5/+28I don't think it was Walt, but was actually Jacob appearing as Walt.
- ericisshort, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23If you really wanna look at the laws of physics, then the room charlie was in should have never actually filled up with water completely, only to the level of the window, so he wouldnt have drowned. But these are tv writers here, not physicists. But yes if the door to the rest of the looking glass was open, then the station would have filled up, no matter how preasurized the air inside was.
If you dont believe it, take a platic cup and turn it upside down in a sink full of water. Now poke a hole in the side of it with a knife. Watch as it it fills with water up to the hole. but not past it. Ta-da. You're just like mister effin wizard. - Chewie67, on 10/11/2007, -4/+26@captmonkey - "Aside from everything Jack and Kate said about the island and going back..."
Just a point of contention. Jack never says 'island'. Go back and rewatch the scene with he and Kate. The word 'island' is never uttered. He says things like "We have to go back". He doesn't say where.
The presumption is that he's talking about the island, and that's certainly the most obvious answer, but you can never take anything for granted on LOST. - SerifTheRobot, on 10/11/2007, -12/+33It was totally a joke! Let it slide Mr. Sensitive.
...And I also like pants, by the way. - thegoldenavatar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+23@dinki
I just assumed the one was because he was drunk and on the other the prescriptions were forged. He left because she was about to call up and find out his dad was dead. - Scottamus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20How would they do that? They'd have to scissor or something.
- SnuKs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19@ jrr6415sun
Yea.. it seemed like everyone had "I just don't give a *****!!" attitude...
- Charlie mouthing off to Ben
- Hurley and the bus then talkin ***** to who he thought were the Others on the walkie
- Jack beating the crap outta Ben sayin he didn't care if he killed the 3 on the beach, just as long as everyone else gets home
- Locke going bananas and killing Naomi
- Sayid crackin necks
- Jin blasting a few of the Others - edalquist, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19That part really bothers me.
If he had left the door open air would have gone out the window and water would have come in the moon pool until the water level was at the top edge of the window. Then it would stop because there would be no place for the air to escape (same physics concept that makes the moon pool work). They would have had time to get all the scuba gear and head back up (although they would need A LOT of air to deal with the time for decompression).
Even with closing the door the water can only fill up to the top edge of the window, he would have had a nice bubble of air to breath for a while (at least until the CO2 built up high enough to kill him) but still, there is no way that room fills all the way to the top.
I know 'The Island' is all magical but violating basic physical properties and only doing it some times? That is just annoying, and makes everyone that watches dumber since people seem to use shows like this as references for the real world. - matriculated, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18It's those family moments that are the best aren't they?
- deathsquadx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17It was probably the fact that he was the only one with a hand gun.
- Achi11es, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17I can't believe more people aren't bothered by this. Watching water gush in through that window and fill the room to the ceiling was like fingernails on a blackboard to me.
And I didn't understand why they needed to get the SCUBA gear. There is no danger of compression sickness at ~30 feet. It couldn't have been much deeper than that since they free dove down.
Another thing: Nobody is talking about what must have happened to the Russian dude who set off a grenade near himself underwater. Every cavity in his body would have turned to jelly. Of course after the sonic fence, Locke's beating, and a harpoon to the chest, I'm thinking things don't really hurt him like they do other people. - LordZodd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Family bondage...err...bonding?
- lothar250, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Also it says at the top of the list that there's some article from 2010 on Jacks newspaper...
- AlpineStars777, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19Sayid has always been my favorite character. Mostly because he has character. The leg-sweep-neck-snapping thing was off the chain!
