Ha! When this is up and running you won't stop hearing about. E-bay must be *****. And you are hardly limited at ALL as to what you can post. Any half-wit whitetrash moron could move their whole yardsale to google base in about the time it would take them to figure out how to work e-bay. And not everything posted will be for profit. Some people will post documents, lists of various things, whatever, the possibilities are endless. And Easy. Who needs a website, google base it. All kinds of services can be consolidated for those who don't really care to get to much into the web. The completion thing looks like what Google does in Gmail. The interesting thing I believe is in the multiple and dynamic fields you can add. For example I was able to specify the number of CCs of the motorcycle (number + unit) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1google didnt run out of bandwidth,

My theory is that in order to develop this service, they need some data to be filled in, and rather then hiring a bunch of monkeys to knock on keyboards, they just opened up the domain for a few hours so that you monkeys out there start hammering in info for them to use for testing and development. - shyguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just hope when its launched they implement a similar system as they did with their Gmail. You know when you have to enter the sequence of alpha-numeric characters on the screen. Otherwise google base will become filled with more useless crap than it could potentially be already, because of it being free and all. Does anyone see any signs of any kind of advertisements on these pages? That's going to be alot of pages to host with no ads:)
