- sc123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I first played Zork on the C64 when I was a wee one. It's a game that opens your mind to thoughts beyond what you can merely see. It requires imagination and memory skills. Great for kids or adults with too much spare time.
- slithy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The original Zork is a very awesome game, those who are saying its tale of legend shouldn't be spread, should be ashamed!
- sundown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love the old infocom games! Can remember playing all the Scott Adams ones on my Vic20 back in the day too. Someone really needs to write a good interpreter that can run on the web. This one isn't very good...
- butlershouse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2this is DIGG right ? If you think its old or not news worthy then you dont digg it. However some people felt it was so they DUG it . I did not digg it but i think its interesting that lots of people complain about Dupes and Old News. There maybe the newbie factor here so people new to digg and possibly the net dont realise that its old. Or it might be that people just think "hell yeah" and digg it.
- Bandito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0talk about a tinyfugue flashback...
too bad I outgrew those 10 years ago. - Cheirdal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Zork was the reason I talked my father into getting me a disk drive for my Commodore 64 back in 83 or 84 :). The Zork games are still my fondest memories of computer gaming.
- doowttam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is very old news, but its just old enough to be new again. I digg it.
- Etunus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you like Zork, get and play "A mind forever voyaging" Great, classic sci-fi, pseudo time travel story. Very very very good - still my favorite game of all time.
Look it up on mobygames or home of the underdog. - sandrino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I actually bought Zork, way back when. A great game still. What about Hitch Hikers? That was even better!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think the better way to play zork is through IM. YOu can send an IM to InfoComBot and it will send you an IM back. Then you type in the name of the game you want to play (like "zork1") and it will start you on your way.
- sTiVo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I still digg some old news. This zork is not exactly like the original and it's very slow, so it's disappointing.

You are about ten feet above the ground nestled among some large
branches. The nearest branch above you is beyond your reach.
On the branch is a small birds nest.
The birds nest contains:
A jewel-encrusted egg. - OregonTrail, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A bit slow, download the original one that "appple layout" site that was dugg a couple days ago. Then you can play it in your customized cmd prompt.
- b102781, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Man, I use to love this game. It was one of my first games.
- falloutsyndrome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0best games ever made.

all i did was type walk west. yarrr there be pirates here. - RWVolkl158, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Classic, but not really news worthy... Might be good for Zork newbies though, so I guess I dig it.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Help keep FRESH and NEWSWORTHY stories on the Digg homepage!
