- tritongreek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The Military may use any frequency spectrum that they require. Even if this means interfering with consumer products. Hence the FCC warning on all electronic devices that says this product must except any and all interference but is not allowed to cause any interference.
- Ugwagoobygaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I work in the industry and this has been known for some time. a couple of manufacturers have actually switched the frequency of their radio receivers and transmitters as they know this to be a problem. If you own a Liftmaster, Craftsman, Chamberlain, Genie or Overhead Door operator chances are that you are or will have problems. You can simply check the back of your transmitter ("clicker") and see what the MHz is to see if you are in the range, and if you are call your local garage door company and spend the $50-$80 on a new plug-in receiver and transmitter. Plus if this is something that you are doing on your own, make sure to disable the existing receiver (integrated on the main circuit board) in your operator to ensure that your door will not "phantom" (open or close on its own). Good luck!!
- jasqwerty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"DOD is the authorized user of the 380 MHz to 399.9 MHz spectrum"
Sucks that whoever made your garage door opener was incompetent/lazy.

Seems 335.4 Mhz -> 399.9Mhz is Government use only. :-D - jo42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Edwards Air Force Base jams my GPS when I drive by it through the Mohave.

The old apollo, and other campagins in space cause nationwide/worldwide "garage door" problems. I also believe Discovery Zapped out half of texas's powergrid on re-entry. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've seen this same incident few years ago in news.

HAHA, nice one lostngone :) - tritongreek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1rolandog,... You obviously have not read the Patriot Act. It pretty much allows the government to do anything they wish if it is in the act of protecting national security. Pretty impressive a wireless toaster haven't got that toy yet.... By the way what freedom?
- rolandog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0tritongreek,... so that means the govt. reserves it's right to hack into my wireless toaster if it potentially threatens your right to freedom?
- Junx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0God, where's the "-1 Underage" or "-1 Shut Up" moderation?
