- mickstephenson, on 12/15/2008, -4/+31Youtube is a wretched hive of scum and villainy, I have never seen a worthwhile comment on the entire site, they'd be better off just removing the comment functionality, youtube comments are a reason enough for suicidal tendancies alone, just realising how ***** stupid your fellow human beings really are.
- Beenard, on 12/15/2008, -0/+18Most of the Youtube comments convince me the entire userbase is under 13.
- geodescent, on 12/15/2008, -0/+11Youtube comments are the reason my child will not be allowed online until they are 13, MINIMUM.
- inactive, on 12/15/2008, -0/+9Well said.
- jannefoo, on 12/15/2008, -0/+6yo mama was so ugly that it made your father reproduce asexually
- Archon810, on 12/15/2008, -2/+8Digg comments are not that much better, you all are just not realizing it because they're all buried. Well, fine, it's a lot better and youtube is full of 5 year olds, and they also have votedown buttons, but people aren't using them enough. And I forgot if I had a point or not.
- NinaOdell, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1WAHT ARE YOUR TALKING ABUT?????? I GO TO TEH COMITS ALL THE TIIIIIIIIMMMEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- inactive, on 12/16/2008, -0/+1Only a small fraction of suicides are caused by the internet, but people don't think about that. Nothing but censorship. How about they try to tackle more common causes of suicide. But no, the internet it a magical, evil place which must be quarantined.
- inactive, on 12/15/2008, -0/+1Kill yourself
- randumbusername, on 12/15/2008, -0/+1youtube: seeking the irrelevance of cbs, abc, nbc, and fox since the google acquisition.
- graemee, on 12/15/2008, -1/+1There is a delete comment function. I've had to use it.
- spyd3rweb, on 12/15/2008, -5/+5If you commit suicide because of comments on youtube or myspace thats just natural selection at work. Less idiots in the world.
- rustintable, on 12/15/2008, -0/+0Or at least the average mental age.
An IQ of 100 is actually pretty lame. - ShannonGB, on 12/18/2008, -0/+0Was Youtube pressured into it or did they grow a conscience? Anyway it looks like a good move.
- bobcrotch, on 12/15/2008, -2/+1People read the youtube comments?
As much as I hate to agree with censoring anything on the web; youtube really is a large part of the average internet experience. It could be argued that it is the moral responsibility of the business to put a control metric in place. It is good to see that their proposal doesn't appear to be too disruptive. - ApMythrin, on 12/15/2008, -1/+0Well yo mamas so fat, Obi Wan said, "that's no moon, that's yo mother"
- blackturtleus, on 12/15/2008, -3/+2The quality of comments you encounter on YouTube is directly related to the quality of the videos you SELECT!!! If you watch videos posted by MIT, UCBerkeley, etc. you encounter abundant intelligence. If all you ever do is watch videos about stupid pets and bouncy boobs, then you're bound to run into inane comments. It works the same way on Digg!, BTW. All that being said, if you want a nice little YouTube video that combines pussy with boobs, then watch this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S8Jo9DunJg
- inactive, on 12/15/2008, -3/+1Ah *****. I can't believe you've done this.
- mongo22, on 12/15/2008, -3/+1I've watched quite a bit of Youube videos, but have never read any of the comments. Sounds like I haven't missed much.
- remortgage, on 12/15/2008, -6/+1I have found youtube an excellent resource by showing my clip at www.guitarscale.co.uk/ though the site must be guarded against dubious sites.
- robertbaker13, on 12/15/2008, -6/+1snore.
- inactive, on 12/15/2008, -6/+0Interesting stuff.
- ApMythrin, on 12/15/2008, -8/+2Well, my father reproduces asexually, thus making me impervious to 'yo mama' jokes...
- AllHereTruth, on 12/15/2008, -8/+2How did this make it to the front page.
