- jkremer3, on 02/18/2008, -2/+36Google really should be higher though. They break it up into all of the seperate google domains like google.fr etc. And they also have youtube, which is owned by google. Google beats everything.
- fishbert, on 02/18/2008, -8/+40try searching for "thepiratebay.org" instead
- bjornski, on 02/18/2008, -7/+391) refuse a reasonable buy-out offer

- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -5/+29Using the illegal ways to download is how Microsoft checks if their product is doing good or not. E.g. the whole Vista thing...Microsoft was happy that Vista was being pirated..lol

- mattmcm, on 02/18/2008, -9/+28"About 3 million computers get sold every year in China, but people don't pay for the software. Someday they will, though. As long as they are going to steal it, we want them to steal ours. They'll get sort of addicted, and then we'll somehow figure out how to collect sometime in the next decade. " - Bill Gates
I'm not sure if that quote is accurate (found on Wikiquote), but if it is, there's your possible reason for MSN's non-censorship. /joke
FYI, I'm not anti-MS at all. I use Windows, and prefer it over Mac and Linux. - enclaved, on 02/18/2008, -2/+21No I would think it being #1 on alexa leans towards showing who still actually uses it.
- likwidfuzion, on 02/18/2008, -2/+19What is the number?
- ElBeh, on 02/18/2008, -4/+21***** the RIAA.
- Slipknotic, on 02/18/2008, -10/+26Who uses yahoo for /anything/ anymore?
- Qeveren, on 02/18/2008, -0/+16I get piratebay.org results if I search from ca.yahoo.com (the Canadian version), but not if I search from the US site www.yahoo.com.
- Jordan117, on 02/18/2008, -1/+17Not exactly. It does list a few user pages, but the main page is nowhere to be seen.
Who uses a search engine to find a url anyway? The "boycott" applies mainly to generic search results, which is where a site like TPB would get most of its new traffic. For example, the site is #10 on a Google search for "torrents", but it's been whitewashed on Yahoo and MSN. - ABadPerson, on 02/18/2008, -0/+15Don't forget Yahoo helped China send several journalists to jail.
- frostw, on 02/18/2008, -0/+15Golf clap
- KMyHero, on 02/18/2008, -0/+13You were in come for 30 years? That must have been sticky...

- jer2eydevil88, on 02/18/2008, -0/+13Yahoo doesn't block piratebay.com though, how nice!
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0geu8qc77hHKR ... - bjornski, on 02/18/2008, -0/+13I switched to Yahoo when they first started. (Before them, I used this thing called "Savvy Search")
I still have an e-mail account thru them, but I check it about once every 2-3 months (I have some old stuff registered there).
99% of the stuff in that account, even with their spam-filters on, is spam.
Yahoo sucks. It's pretty bad when I can say "even Hotmail is better" (though I actually like the new Hotmail. Their spam filters work, too!)
Goodbye, Yahoo. It was nice. You broke a lot of ground in your time, but you're no longer useful. You offer nothing that someone else doesn't do better, and now you're censoring searches. If you'll censor these links, who knows what else you're censoring "to protect us" (well, the profits of RIAA member companies, but that's a long-winded conversation of it's own)
It was nice knowing you. - SniperZero, on 02/18/2008, -0/+13You used yahoo in the first place?
- mogebier, on 02/18/2008, -12/+24Who the hell is going to search for the pirate bay on Yahoo??
For that matter, who the hell is going to search for anything on Yahoo?? Maybe the morons who still use AOL as their internet dial-up provider. - thirstyg, on 02/18/2008, -0/+12All doing well in Alexa's ratings means is that you've got users stupid enough to have the Alexa toolbar.
- kinseyincanada, on 02/18/2008, -2/+14and dont forget that Google censors search results in China
- austinnowlin, on 02/18/2008, -1/+12Well done.
