I want a goddamned kitten saying something in cute misspelled baby talk or I'm out... - inactive, on 12/01/2008, -1/+5good :)
- ScaryUK, on 12/01/2008, -0/+3T-Mobile did this a while back with their 'Web and Walk' service. Doesn't make any difference, I still go to Google whenever i need to search.

Yahoo still has almost twice the number of pageviews of Google. Comparing yahoo.com to google.com is disingenuous. Yahoo.com is a portal. Look at search.yahoo.com for a fair comparison. Loads faster than Google for me.
Yahoo has run themselves into the ground, no question. But they already have a lead on Google in one area, and Google have never overtaken them as far as traffic since their inception.
A properly managed Yahoo could certainly be a force to be reckoned with for Google, and no I don't think Microsoft is the way out. - Desmothenes, on 12/01/2008, -1/+3Yahoo will never get a lead on Google. Yahoo is cluttered, flashy, and averages >130 links on its main page. Google is simple, has a better mail system, and averages ~20 links.
Oh, and also Google Earth. - andy78, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1how dense can you be? The first sentence michael writes is that yahoo is not just a search engine it is a portal, so he is not trying to rank search engines. btw WHO cares which is better?
- Wrangler76, on 12/01/2008, -1/+2I was going to say something, but michael already covered it. Google fanboys are so ignorant sometimes. :
- linksus, on 12/01/2008, -1/+2Id just prefer whatever search engine gets me the stuff I was looking for fastest.
- gnews, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1"The Virgin deal will bring Yahoo's UK mobile search coverage up to 80 percent... m:metrics data."
- Blydchyld, on 12/01/2008, -3/+2You know there isnt a single mention of this on the Virgin Mobile internal staff site.
And how can a story make it to front page without a single comment, Who paid for this Virgin or Yahoo? - juliereader, on 02/08/2009, -0/+0yeah we want a kitten or a cow or some cute animal even you my dear friend but not tech no damn no..

- WomensUnderwear, on 12/01/2008, -0/+0yang yang kipperbang
- Desmothenes, on 12/01/2008, -1/+1You're both ignorant. Page views is a stupid way to rank a search engine. Google still gets more searches a day than Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and Ask combined.
- SheriffJohn, on 12/01/2008, -0/+0How many times have we heard the phrase: "...plans to rival Google"
- rdwinder, on 12/01/2008, -7/+1How is this even "front page" material? Buried
