- Mootabolife, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15It's legal..
- Dugdale, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Wow, I would like to hear Yahoo's answer to this.
- junit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13I think the real shocker was that this company was publically shopping how much they could sell users data for $$$$ before Yahoo bought them for 10 million dollars
- ddn3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I answered as soon as I saw your post. It was held in moderation. I don't know about you, but I'm not ok with the 2nd largest contextual ad company owning all my click data.
- junit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8wow there are some stupid diggers... This is big news that the 2nd biggest contextual adnetwork is spying on the largest...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8MySpace laevel maturity FTL!
- bootlick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I'm not 100% sure (most of this script stuff was over my head) but on my MyBlogLog Pro stats page it logs all of my ad clicks and displays it for me. Maybe this is why they are collecting Adsense and YPN click stats?

I asked this on his blog but it was just deleted instead of answered *shrug* - bootlick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yea ddn, the second post had alink so I guess it was moderated (but it then hid the first which confused me). I guess I can see it being awkward Yahoo having the data, but it's not like it was hidden from the public...
- adspigot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Interesting thing about it, I get 5 times as many ad clicks on mybloglog as google adsense gives me credit for.
- garyh84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Compare it to YPN. Probably close to 20 times more.
- tanveer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I just read the article on Wired on how yahoo blow it when it comes to competing w/ google. Looks like now, yahoo is getting desperate by the day!
- esaks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Wow. I'm taking of mybloglog tonight.
- SIRBERUS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Id rather hear Google's response to this. They may very well ban sites using that script.
- geekitechture, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why do people post things like "nice story...liked it?"
- drjekelmrhyde, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3This is business folks thats all nothing to see here digg really needs a google story filter
- AndyBeard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The only way from preventing someone else having click data is to house your website on your own server, in your own home, and only allow connection via LAN or serial cable.
There are loads of companies that have various forms of tracking that also would include clicks on ads, some of them even have financial connections with other monetization companies. This isn't a revelation in any way, and you don't need a pro account to see that adverts are being clicked.
Inaccurate - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3And Google Analytics tracks those visitors who come from Yahoo! Search.
News at 11. - benlong, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2yahoo bashing is getting old.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Wow, I'd like to hear the question first.
- adub666, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2wow this is the stupidest thing i've read all day. if you install a widget to track clicks, then lo and behold IT TRACKS CLICKS!
