It really works! Of course I had to call back twice to get 'er done. The first guy I spoke with was either a total idiot from the get go, or he was brand new. He kept asking me for an activation code to go with the promo code. I told him, I was never given one. Just the promo code. Finally, I hung up and called back.
Got a nice lady in Asia (Philippines I think). Anyway, she just took the promo code and entered it. Initially it only gave the free activation and 3 months free. YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM THAT IT ALSO INCLUDES THE $77 A YEAR plan, or they won't enter it in for your account.
But unless the mail notice I'm suppose to get says something different, this promo is still good. It would be nice if someone who's had it past the 3 months would confirm that XM is honoring the $77 yearly fee. I will certainly follow up after 3 months.

- blairsvegas, on 04/27/2008, -0/+0Hey it is April 26 2008!!! and this code WORKS!!! Note that you can NOT get the $77 month on-line. But if you call. They don't even ask questions!!! On top of all that, you don't even have to start paying for 3 MONTHS. They will send you a bill. So if you figure it all up 15 months of service (3 FREE) @ $77 a year $5.13 a month for SATELLITE Radio, plus 3 months to come up with the money to send them. Sweet. So if your getting a check from the IRS in a couple months here is a GREAT investment!

Just called XM and used the code xmscion03. Gave them my 8 digit code on my factory installed honda xm radio and the CSR gave me 3 months free/no activation fee and 1 yr at $77 which will be billed in 3 months (after the free period ends). Hoeever, The CSR did say I NEED TO CALL BACK BEFORE THE 3 MONTHS EXPIRE AND STATE THAT I WANT TO CONTINUE THE PROMOTION FOR 1 YEAR at the xmscion03 promotion rate of $77. If I don't call back XM will then charge for for the 3 months. Besides this little hiccup, no problem.

It took less than a minute and she changed my cost to $77. This really is as easy as everyone says it is!!!
