- hbyrne, on 12/05/2008, -0/+116I'm under the impression that today's PC was yesterday's supercomputer, and that this trend is ongoing.
- LanceUppercut, on 12/06/2008, -1/+85What the *****? Who was paid to write this? It had essentially no info and read like a half ass dell ad written by a journalist that has WoW open in the other window.
- deadapostle, on 12/06/2008, -11/+94It's cool, but 4000 pounds? How the hell am I going to get that thing home?
- mindpuzzle, on 12/05/2008, -0/+68We need this.
- inactive, on 12/06/2008, -5/+65No seriously, can it actually run Crysis or not?
- WhoDoneIt, on 12/06/2008, -0/+60But when you buy that "supercomputer", there will be a bigger "supercomputer" coming out, which means your "supercomputer", isn't super anymore.
So you'll never have one. - ClevelandBrown, on 12/06/2008, -6/+55I swear if someone asks that question one more time I'm gonna... be really pissed.

Have a great Friday night! - VsAcesoVer, on 12/05/2008, -0/+26It's not just ongoing, it's increasing exponentially.
- IAmTheGuy, on 12/06/2008, -1/+25The article never says it costs 4000 pounds. Instead it says "£4,000." Deadapostle clearly knows what a GBP is and was making a joke.
- thegrantman, on 12/06/2008, -1/+24Keep your puke in your mouth..it's a joke.

- badenglishihave, on 12/06/2008, -3/+14I hate to tell you guys this, but the definition of a "supercomputer" is just that it makes the "Top 500" list. I did research on this when I was in college:
http://www.top500.org/list/2008/11/100
See the wiki page for details on the definition of supercomputer:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercomputer#The_Top ...
There is no such thing as a "supercomputer"... it's just a computer who happens to be in the top 500 worldwide computers at any given time. - inactive, on 12/06/2008, -2/+13It can run Crysis in a blender.
- VsAcesoVer, on 12/05/2008, -4/+14I had no idea they were looking for a way to watch porn more efficiently

- kalphegor, on 12/06/2008, -0/+8What are the specs?
- marko718, on 12/06/2008, -0/+8well, actually we will hit a plateau someday. Physics only allows things to go so fast or get so small.
- xRand0mx, on 12/06/2008, -0/+8Aye we do. For science, technology and anything else that will help the advancement of humans. This will most likely bring about a new era of personal computers and just computing in general. It will be fascinating to see what these personal supercomputers will be able to do once they do get out into the market. Even for something as small as entertainment. Could you imagine if all those animators at Pixar were using a personal supercomputer for their animations and rendering. Not only would they be able to put out very high quality movies (more so than they are now) but also in half the time.
It would also take PC gaming to a whole unimaginable level. Yes these beasts will be able to run crysis. - trogdor282, on 12/06/2008, -1/+8You're gonna... cry?
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -1/+8wow..i am when to going have one that.
- Terasiel, on 12/06/2008, -0/+7You got that right, it doesn't even mention any of the stats for the computer at all. I don't even know what these "900+ parallel processors" run at. They could all be 333mhz for all we know.
