- phrenzy, on 04/29/2008, -0/+7Wtf - is that "Rev. Wright" in the digg article pic?
- scbysnx, on 04/29/2008, -0/+6a 100 year old sequoia could run circles around a 3GHz Celeron
- pintomp3, on 04/29/2008, -0/+5those 34 diggs came from a supercomputer.
- ChrisConrow, on 04/29/2008, -0/+5And they calling it...Skynet
- chanop, on 04/29/2008, -5/+9I am sufficiently happy with the amount of diggs and comments it took to get to the front page
- inactive, on 04/29/2008, -0/+4Tell me, random Digg idiot, how do YOU know about this, and Reuters doesn't?
- inactive, on 04/29/2008, -1/+4Councilors are available for those who need it.
- ddude, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3dugg for the picture
- lacreme, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3Not really. Although ghz aren't still going up (latest Core 2 Duo is around 3 ghz, the fastest Pentium 4 was either 3.2 or 3.4 ghz I believe), new processors have a much more efficient design which allows them to carry out several more instructions with less power consumption and less heat.
- pianomahnn, on 04/29/2008, -2/+4Why are there still people who feel the need to comment on this? Just deal with it. Quietly.
- gettophilosophr, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2Beautiful mental image....
- inactive, on 04/29/2008, -0/+230fps rock solid.
- jaybienweb, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2That's racist.
- bbendele, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1Of the old man? Am I missing something?
- Shadowgamers, on 04/29/2008, -1/+2With the money that America doesn't have? V:
- stewartgorman, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1Higher clock speeds do not necessarily translate to faster performance. My new 1.6GHz Pentium Dual Core runs circles around my 2 year old 3GHz Celeron.
- brian4572, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1Cray and Intel different but not deficient
- Toproq, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1The only way this could be more awesome is if they used CELL processors!
- bincoder, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1I've always wanted a Cray. How long before they're available at my local frys store?
- somberlaine, on 04/29/2008, -1/+1Is Rev. Wright the new spokesperson of Intel?
- TonyG2021, on 04/29/2008, -0/+0Yes yes, petaflops we get it, but how's the FPS on Crysis?
- TurnipFarm, on 04/29/2008, -2/+2I think it's interesting that supercomputers financed by corporations and/or states continue to double in processing speed every year while home computing processors seem to have hit a wall. I have a need for speed too hey!
- ddude, on 04/29/2008, -0/+0If you have to ask, then yes, your are missing something.
- oldhick, on 04/29/2008, -1/+1Can we just get the digg development team to write a filter that deletes any comment bitching about getting to the front page?
- SSUK, on 04/29/2008, -3/+1Don't question the Digg algorithm, it hears all...
- pentupentropy, on 04/29/2008, -5/+2What this article neglects to mention is the 3rd party sponsor of the deal - Uncle Sam Enterprises.
- Shadowgamers, on 04/29/2008, -5/+2Crush the Germans with your PETAFLOPS >:V
- vexingmodstwo, on 04/29/2008, -4/+1heh... he said "petaflops"
- boonecafe, on 04/29/2008, -14/+334 diggs + 1 comment = homepage?
