- ligyron, on 06/24/2008, -7/+215You thought you could sneak that extra "L" in there and get away with it? I think not, friend!
- Tddupre, on 06/24/2008, -6/+92He's not your friend, buddy!
- Phocion55, on 06/24/2008, -5/+80He's not your buddy, guy!
- Ganja420, on 06/24/2008, -5/+75He's not your guy, friend!
- TheWilder, on 06/23/2008, -10/+61Should've known it was going to happen sooner or later. Since Gary Vee and the Digg/Rev3 crew are close, it's not too surprising.
I'm glad for both parties, as it should definitely expand the audiences of both Revision3 and Wine Library. - The2ndAct, on 06/24/2008, -5/+35Bring that Thunder, Gary. Bring it!
- aenima987, on 06/24/2008, -4/+30I bet people purposefully include the word friend, guy or buddy in their comments just to start this *****.
- aserer511, on 06/24/2008, -10/+34he has waaay too much energy
- scairborn, on 06/24/2008, -11/+33"Let me get a little sniffy sniff"
- cawpin, on 06/24/2008, -3/+21Well, that and it was on the front page 2 weeks ago.
http://digg.com/television/WineLibrary_TV_joins_Re ... - gglynn07, on 06/24/2008, -14/+29Ah man!!! I thought he was going to have a podcast were he jumped out of places and scared people!!! OAK MONSTER...ARGH!!!
- petomni, on 06/24/2008, -2/+14I think if he was reviewing crack he'd do it in the same manner.
- shuffle, on 06/24/2008, -2/+12Does anyone have an idea of the business side of this? I mean, when Rev3 wants some programming, and somebody is semi-successful already, what does the deal look like to bring them to Rev3? I think this may be the first (or biggest) case of this, but are people lining up to be associated with Rev3 or do you think that some persuasion was necessary?
- acidone, on 06/24/2008, -2/+11Cancel Crtl+Alt+Chicken but pick up a wine tasting show. Yeah that makes sense. . ? Don't get me wrong I love Wine Library, just not the crappy 5 minute chopped together version Revision 3 has put together. I found myself, mid episode, going back to wine library tv and watching the unedited version. Bring back Crtl+Alt+Chicken, muff divers and all!
- iPirate, on 06/24/2008, -0/+7I checked your other comments... and you are seriously an angry person. I hope you find peace one day.
- kidblast, on 06/24/2008, -7/+14It's cool that Gary V's audience will expand but I'd much rather they try something else rather than using Mtv-style edits to shorten one of his old shows. Gary usually gives some good insight on wine in general during the portions they are speeding/shortening up.
Still, I'm glad to see the guy that got my wife into wine, is getting a larger audience. - sixsicsix, on 06/24/2008, -10/+15am i the only one who finds it weird that revision3 took on a wine tasting show?
- Belgorm, on 06/24/2008, -2/+6Yeah its awesome news, now everyone will know the power of the OAK MONSTER!!!!
- TopTenTodd, on 06/24/2008, -2/+6Bah humbug!
Every time I watch Gary V. I keep thinking I'm seeing Jim Breuer do another "The Joe Pesci Show" skit. - acidone, on 06/24/2008, -0/+4I only find it weird best they canceled their cooking show?
- darkcaps, on 06/24/2008, -3/+7Dugg For Roddy Piper action figure.
- superfuxxorr, on 06/24/2008, -0/+4he reminds me of jim cramer.
- CanceledCzech, on 06/24/2008, -0/+4I did.
- drew12689, on 06/24/2008, -0/+4nope i didn't think i would get away with it :-)
- vckeating, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3It's clearly the Welsh version.
- ralphthemagi, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3It's probably just because Kevin and Gary are good friends.
WLTV doesn't make money off advertisements. The entire thing for Gary is an exercise in personal branding. By joining WLTV he can reach a bigger audience, and start making some money off advertisements. It makes sense. - batista86, on 06/24/2008, -6/+9BRINGING THE THUNDER
- tikidrummer928, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3gary v has a huge business already. wine library does millions of dollars in business a year. he does it for he fun of it.
- neXion, on 06/24/2008, -6/+9Not sure if I like the editing. The show used to flow just fine without the fast forwards and cuts.
- valkyries, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3sorry but you just dont come to digg and make fun of diggnation.
- dusingaz, on 06/24/2008, -5/+8funny that the Rev3 player doesn't work in digg
- hmunkey, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3I know I do, buddy.
- Beowulf2112, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3I thought it would be about Wine... you know for Linux. But I did learn that the cheep 8$ wine is as good as the 30$ wine
- bushidojones, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3Jets fan, not Eagles..
- hokeywebb22, on 06/24/2008, -2/+5It grows on you after a few episodes. I thought the same thing when I first watched but thats just him. He's full of energy at all times. Gary V is crazy.
- operationcougar, on 06/24/2008, -0/+3and a point for you cuz thats the whole reason i clicked on it.
- AlexWiggy, on 06/23/2008, -15/+17Good to hear!
- atrainmuse, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2vay•ner•chuk and his sniffy sniff and the oak monster (ARRRGH!) are all a welcome addition to the Revision3 lineup. Now when is Laporte joining in on the fun? :)
- gnarizard, on 06/24/2008, -2/+4revision3's getting some of that sniffy sniff
- hokeywebb22, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2He would probably kill you for calling him an Eagles fan. He born and raised Jets fan.
- 33PercentGod, on 06/24/2008, -1/+3Dude,Ctrl+Alt+Chicken was terrible. The fact that they were almost in tears over handling chicken was the point I stopped watching. Are you people REALLY that big of yuppies you're about to lose your ***** over handling chicken? Here in Pennsylvania we hunt, trim up,and eat deer. Get over yourselves.
- CapeKid, on 06/24/2008, -0/+2The guys from Totally Rad Show did an interview somewhere (I believe on Veoh) and in it they talked a little about getting produced by Rev3. Apparently they have their own production company (Totally Awesome Productions) which is essentially just the three of them and the show is then licensed from this "company." It probably works in a similar way with shows like Wine Library TV and Epic Fu, kind of like athletes signing contracts with sports teams.
- ZigZags, on 06/24/2008, -1/+3Anyone who compares the golden colored wines on a scale of ric flair, dusty rhodes, and hulk hogan's hair is a-ok in my book. He's got some of the most hilarious descriptions of taste profiles and smell as well. It's also nice to see that he throws in a lot of 80's nostalgia... from classic 80's WWF to Thundercats to Tecmo Bowl. Beneath all of this, is an informative show on a multitude of wines. Who knew that something as pretentious as wine tasting, could be so entertaining. The thunder has come to revision3.
"Mott, link it up!" - aserer511, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1POWER MERLOT
