  • pgtourdotnet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wikipedia is making plenty of money.. even though it's a non-profit org. For example, recently one of my family members was shipping a product (He's a project manager) and it included some functionality to use Wikipedia built in. They requested to use it in the feature list / logo of the box (along with Google, and so forth).

    Wikipedia then said yes if they made a "donation" of $10,000.. which had us mildly confused. Shortly after (couple weeks) they called back saying it was fine to use it.

    Point? Well none but I like typing.
