"Save the Internet" (http://www.savetheinternet.com/)
Though companies such as Google and Amazon are obviously opposed to this as well, as they are the announced targets of this planned extortion campaign by the telcos.
As always the EFF (http://www.eff.org) is probably your single biggest ally when it comes to defending digital rights, though they don't have a large compaign specifically addressing network neutrality. - BobbyL, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So, who's organizing the effort to protest this? Where are the links to the appropriate committee members and letters to be edited and sent to members of congress? It's beyond time to merely educate the the public, we'd better react fast to this or the monopolists will own the net. I don't have the skills myself so can only hope that there are those out there who will organize such efforts. We can complain to each other but it is critical to begin to reach out and offer a way to protest this before it becomes a nightmare that will never end.
- jonl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And they haven't heard much from anyone else except telecom lobbyists when it comes to telecom policy. It's time to educate the public about the implications for them if essential network infrastructure is in the hands of the once and future monopolists.
