- wontstoptalking, on 06/14/2008, -2/+46You have 375 requests:
David has sent you a "what color condom are you" request!
Sarah has sent you a flower!
Allen has sent you a "do you know your Disney Characters?" quiz! Take it know to see who knows more!
Zach has left the group "I have never had sex with a dolphin" - celer1ty, on 06/14/2008, -3/+32A relationship isn't "official" until it's Facebook official.
- MaxMWood, on 06/14/2008, -2/+17MySpace stole all of Facebooks ideas. Fact.
- LiamIsOnFire, on 06/14/2008, -5/+17I feel Facebook is on a downwards slope, so-to-speak.
Of course, It's a long descent before it reaches MySpace. - kinseyincanada, on 06/15/2008, -0/+9am i the only one who doesnt get a hundred requests a day? or is it just because i dont have a lot of friends :(
- AshTR, on 06/15/2008, -0/+6Yet Digg is a social network of sorts. That you're on right now...Bye?
- TheAbdBoy, on 06/15/2008, -0/+6What is killing Twitter right now is it's constant downtime :(
- EmileVictor, on 06/14/2008, -1/+6As long as they don't allow people to express themselves I'm fine with it, that was myspace's mistake.
Because most people are retards. - GhostyBoy, on 06/15/2008, -0/+4Facebook ***** blows.
I have never gotten so many obnoxious, pointless messages in my life. It's as if everyone I have ever met decided to start spamming me.
Also, why the hell would you even want to post factual information about yourself on the internet? - j1a1g1, on 06/15/2008, -1/+4bumper stickers own
- Rambus89, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3Troy has sent you a "Dope Wars Invite" How much dope can you sell?
- estvir, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3Twitter will kill Facebook? Are you retarded? Besides, Twitter and the horrible idea it is, is killing itself with their inability to run a website in 2008.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 06/15/2008, -0/+2I used to get a lot, but I always ignored them and started removing people who sent me ***** all the time. Now I hardly get any, but I think it has to do with people getting bored of the 9 million useless applications.
- protocoI, on 06/15/2008, -0/+2Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I liked it when it was used mostly by college students, with their (mostly) tidy profiles. Before the days of applications and Joe Spiderman having a profile, I used to be able to use it to look up who was in my majors so I could ask them about suggestions, or if I wanted to get notes for a class, I could use the Classes "app" (the most useful thing which was uninstalled on everyone's profile, so only a select few people have the new version, which makes it useless) to find out what was covered in class that day.
I mean, yes, it was also good for getting pictures of your friends and keeping track of people...But now, whenever I see someone's profile when I have to page down thirty-five times through their Dane Cook Random Quote and What Disney Princess am I? and Happy Hour! apps to get to their Wall (true story)... I don't know, it's just gotten less appealing then it used to be when it was more information and less customization. - Me0wmix, on 06/14/2008, -11/+12***** social networks. End of story.
- Rambus89, on 06/15/2008, -0/+1Ill be your friend
- TheTaoOfBill, on 06/15/2008, -0/+1You'll understand when you graduate high school....
- walugi, on 06/15/2008, -0/+1Good assumption, great fail though.
You'll understand once you make real friends :-) - walugi, on 06/15/2008, -0/+1I guess it was easy for you to 'track' your friends in highschool. Things changed high school ended huh? Well, fortunately I didn't have that experience when I graduated. I do feel for you though.
- SuperJimmyJimbo, on 06/24/2008, -0/+1***** Zuck
- walugi, on 06/15/2008, -0/+1I thought there weren't any girls on the internet?
- TheTaoOfBill, on 06/15/2008, -1/+2You don't have friends to keep track of do you?
- wenfri, on 06/27/2008, -0/+1Have been asked to join Facebook numerous times and won't even think about it. Just not my style
- 10goto10, on 06/15/2008, -1/+1I betcha one of these days you'll see morons leaving their JOB because they can't access Facebook during worktime.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 06/15/2008, -1/+1I tell my girlfriend to keep her facebook and myspace single so we can laugh at all the 50 year old men that try to hit on her.
- wontstoptalking, on 06/14/2008, -2/+2I agree.
- Fightermelee, on 06/15/2008, -1/+1lame comment?
buried - ileftfark, on 06/15/2008, -3/+3...because it's only slightly less ***** than the current alternatives?
And because viewing another person's page doesn't make you want to spork your eyes out. Although the "applications" might. - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -3/+2Some of us must be lucky to have gave up MySpace long time ago and to never have used Facebook. lol
- splash, on 06/15/2008, -2/+1One of my friends had been dating this girl for a bit over a month, he and his girlfriend became official after she asked him "Can I change my facebook status to in a relationship?"
- alapoet, on 06/15/2008, -3/+2Social networks don't have to be banal and stupid.
Tribe.net is actually pretty cool. - anonpermutation, on 06/15/2008, -1/+0"Viral Marketing" is totally getting killed by FB applications. Across the web, everyone is getting sick of alerts / emails / etc...
- walugi, on 06/15/2008, -2/+1"keep track of"
See that's your problem. Just because you keep track of someone doesn't make them your friend, although it might on Facebook. - lolwell, on 06/15/2008, -4/+2I can go without the 900 current requests.
- sulthernao, on 06/15/2008, -3/+1***** email alerts.
- inactive, on 06/15/2008, -3/+1I used to be in favor of these things but i think technology is seriously taking away the credentials of authentic communication.
Face-to-Face is still and always will be the most important communication medium.
If some of the conversations on Facebook were attempted to be communicated via Face-to-Face it would turn out to be completely ludicrous.

I know its old but it still holds a very important message: your communication authenticity should be consistent across all mediums - mintblogger, on 06/15/2008, -3/+1But it is very sluggish and slow. A regular broadband user don't get good browsing experience in facebook.
- boodog, on 06/15/2008, -9/+5and then there was Twitter which will kill Facebook or if not Twitter something very similar.
I want to know what my friends are doing, what they are sharing and where they are hanging out. I don't go to Facebook for this. I go Twitter on my phone or via my laptop!
Of course there many people of the Digg demo that have not grasped Twitter yet, but you will and you can digg this down all you want, but once all your friends get on there you'll be too and forgeting about bloated Facebook.
Hmmm what will kill Twitter stay tuned.... - inactive, on 06/14/2008, -11/+4I totally agree with the statement that Facebook is for real life, and Myspace is to live out your fantasy! Great article!
- mahomet, on 06/14/2008, -11/+3I think facebook has become a soul for every socializer (if i may say so). It's part of my daily routine and i just love it.
- inactive, on 06/14/2008, -10/+2facebook?
buried - wontstoptalking, on 06/14/2008, -11/+2Friendster FTW!
- inactive, on 06/15/2008, -9/+0Myspace kicks Facebook's ass any day!

What is Digg?
