        It's not a superiority thing, it's that Digg quickly has become like E! Channel in comparison to other sites, like Reddit (which is more Discovery Channel).

        The comments are better structured, the whole site loads orders of magnitude faster, and I guarantee that half of Digg's content front paged reddit first.

        Well, Linux and OSS offer freedom of code oversight, freedom to share it, freedom to alter it, etc. That's freedom of speech and more all wrapped into what OSS and Linux are fundamentally built on. But I wonder how much of a "mental" leap was required to pair those adverse to mystery code running on their machines to war mongers though!

        So, either your definition of liberty is faulty, or maybe, just maybe, it's another case of Digg being besmirched by the MS defense league where reason and logic don't stand a chance.

        (Slashdot and numerous other sites outside of Digg still hold far more reasonable discussion about MS, OSS and Linux. Digg loses this category hands down especially when MS started running ads for Digg)

      Threads can go deep and you can collapse/expand trees. See the [ - ] to collapse and [ + ] to expand? Subtle but its there. Lastly, its lightweight and does not annoy me with useless (AJAX?) animations and what not.

      On the other hand, Digg has some clever features I have yet to locate on Reddit, if they exist at all, like "only mine - only friends" filter and "Who Dugg it?" fun button.

One website has a much, much larger user base than the other. The result of this test is completely obvious, and has no bearing as to which website is better than the other. All you can glean from this vote is that more Digg users voted than Reddit users.
