Where's the Money? YouTube’s Head of Monetization Quits

gigaom.com — Google’s senior executive exodus continues. YouTube ’s head of monetization, Shashi Seth, has now left the company to become the chief revenue officer of Menlo Park, Calif.-based startup Cooliris.

I've been muttering against Youtube hype for a while now...they can't make it very profitable without killing it and having people flock over to somebody's free clone. Sure, it may become more and more feasible as bandwidth and disk space get cheaper over time...
