- icabod540, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The photo is taken straight above the camels.
- azharc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I GOT IT
Under the camels are turtles, look at it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I noticed that, but I still can't figure out why that's special.
- birch25, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it's an arial shot and the black camels are their shadows.
strangely cool :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Amazing photo. fool me once, digg... fool me twice, and I'll report as dupe lol :D
- kevin2735, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well, they are not sand people. Everybody knows sand people move in single file to conceal their numbers.
- arestme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks like camels but its there shadows.
- tikibangout, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Aerial shots, woo woo, big deal.
- AveryDeDog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Betcha a nickel that it's taken from a satellite image.
- icabod540, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Well I suppose not everyone can catch it as fast as you can.
- Genius16, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3yeah i mean big whoop? really? it was obvious like .08 seconds after looking at it that it was taken above the camels. unless theres something else im just not seeing?
- StringCheesian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Looked at first like black camels riding surfboards. Then I realized the black are shadows and the surfboards the actual camels. But that's not enough to make the photo interesting, it's gotta be something else...
1. The long shadows mean dawn or dusk and shadow direction means they're travelling north or south.
2. At least 2 columns (top and upper middle) are following lines in the sand made possibly by tires, the wind, or camels farther ahead out of picture.
3. Some of the camels aren't lit even when they look like they should be (are clearly in the sun because they're casting a shadow).
4. Lower middle column is being led by a baby?
5. They are loosely single-file. Probably normal for camels.
6. They don't look out of place - the terrain look desertish to me.
Am I overanalyzing (is it just the mistaking shadows for camels thing), or am I missing something? - arkanoid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good one
- alloneword, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeap :)
- AveryDeDog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It’s a satellite image. You know, like from outer space. Like, say 100 miles up. By remote control. With big-ass lenses and computer enhancment. Think Sputnik on steroids with a 1.3 megapixel camera and Verizon Wireless to beam the picture to your Verizon account and makes your cell bill really high. So high that this is the only picture you could afford to take which is too bad because with such a satellite you cold find nudist camps and take pictures of naked volleyball games instead of smelly old camels with towelheads drinking camel milk right from the teats like manly arab men do. I had ATT but I wanted a new phone but they told me I had to get a Cingular phone and I didn’t want that because what if the satellite wasn’t compatible so I guess the camels in the picture are better than nothing.
- unitedstatians, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it took me more then a minute but that doesn't iam Stupid right?
- pr0t3st, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They are on MARS ZOMG!!!!!!
- J5o1h8n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1why are the shadows "white" and the camels "black"?
- dongsalad650, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They are camels riding albino alligators
