- brhad56, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If it looks like something Fisher Price would design, people call it Web 2.0.
- IVIrMP3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Does digg have a place to ban users? What's with the attitude dude? You went from 0-to-PMS in .3 seconds. Chill out Kosack. I think everyone reading this thinks you're the idiot.
P.S. I get comments on how much people love my firefox t-shirt on Myspace all the time. - Pocky, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I miss pogs. And Alf. And Alf being back in pog form.
- Quag, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14I am apparently the only one in the world who finds these incredibly dull.
- Manzabar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Tried it in both IE 6 w/ SP2 & Firefox 1.5.0.2. It worked on both for me, but looked far better in Firefox.
- h0w412d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5http://websudoku.com/
has billions of sudokus at easy, medium, hard, and evil difficulty levels.
i tried one of the evil puzzles for an hour...didn't get anywhere. - rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4what does this have to do with web 2.0?
- moojj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Works good in firefox, looks a bit odd in IE but still works..
- Lacrossedragon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Wait... How is this Web 2.0? I'm so confused :(
- Gardenhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I thought it was a horrible dull fad until I tried it on Brain Age. It's really a comprehensive approach to it, it mixes writing the numbers with quick answers. It actually makes it interesting.
- BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -9/+12or http://opera.com/
- Adma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like the one I use better:
http://www.dkmsoftware.com/sudoku/ - NeCtUr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ya, websudoku.com is the best i have found, has a few different options you can play with including "pencil marks" which is writing the possible numbers in each cell. and i really didn't like how you can't use the arrow keys in TFA. that slows me down a lot.
my personal best time is 4:56 on evil, that was a miracle. my average is about 11 min - brhad56, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3WTF? If you just fill in numbers.. Any numbers. It congratulates you on solving the puzzle! Does it not... Oh i dunno.. CHECK TO SEE IF YOU GOT THE RIGHT ANSWER?
- trucdem44, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is so lame. And the sudoku interface sucks. For example you can't move with the arrows. Go to websudoku.com it's way better
- mercano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2These puzzles are sorta easy, arn't they? There was one cell that had 7 of 9 squares filled in allready. +Digg anyway, hoping for more dificult ones.
- danielctull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It looks a lot better in Firefox. Unfortunately the way it looks in Safari makes it unplayable because the edges are all wrong and you can't tell which rows belong to which boxes...
- tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Never played before. Seems pretty addicting, I am able to solve the easy ones very easily, but the medium ones involve some guesswork which I assume is not the point. I'm sure there has to be a way to figure each puzzle out with no guessing. Bookmarked and Dugg
- trash115, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5i love it, you're my hero!
- samsoffes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2looks horrible in safrai. the text boxes didnt get styled... pretty sweet in firefox tho. digg+
- Esso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Interesting, but it doesn't verify correct answers. Just for the halibut I entered random "wrong" numbers and it gave me a "congratulations you have solved the puzzle" message.
No Digg - olliholliday, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you don't ever have to guess.
it helps doing it on paper, so you can make notes and narrow certain blocks down to certain numbers before you're sure. - Drahknon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice find, though I generally dislike automatically-generated Sudoku puzzles. They're just never as fun as the "handmade" variety.
- savmac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't feed the trolls.
- meatbites, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9http://opera.com/download
Just throwing it in the mix.
Edit: Dang. Well, mine links to the download page. :P - tidejwe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hmm...or you could just get a program that creates them randomly for you. I have a sudoku program on my mobile phone that I can play anytime I want with unlimited puzzles. That's what I'd recommend! I got it free. There are free ones on the net too.
Easy = can finish easily just by looking at the puzzle
Medium = have to use a pencil to mark what possible numbers could fit in the square and compare them with other possibilities in the same row/column/square
Hard = you might have to guess on a few squares, only to find out your guess was wrong/impossible and go back to that starting point and guess a different number instead. Some people claim this is still "LOGIC" and not "guessing" because there is still only one right answer possible, which you find out if you "Guessed" wrong at the guessing point.
Insane: Multiple Guessing points, but still one possible answer. May have to go back repeatedly to a certain guess and revise it. Takes forever, but still fun.
Hint: you can write in # possibilities in pencil, or simply put a dot in a certain location for each number. Dot in upper left = 1 upper middle = 2 upper right = 3 middle right = 4, etc. makes it easier than putting actual numbers. - crpietschmann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It works fine in IE6 SP2 for me
- umterp09, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5this sudoku game is pretty lame. there are much better online versions of the game. I often play the one on The Washington Post's website at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artsandliving/crosswords/index.html?nav=left
It allows you to make marks in each box, and has much harder puzzles that require a lot of time to finish. Plus, they have music which is pretty cool. Check it out, you'll find it far surpasses "sudokucraving" - blaksaga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sudoku was good...for about the first week. Then the repetative logic really got boring and even the most difficult 9x9 puzzles became trivial.
- semvhu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have the same problem. I got a solution that works (checked for all the rules) and it didn't give me credit for the solution. Doh!
- lexbaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I believe you're correct. If you guess, you might have to go back and fix a mistake.
- cosmotic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4This thing TOTALLY sucks. It looks like crap in Safari. It looks even worse in Camino. It is the worst Sudoku site I have ever seen. Web 2.0? You lose.
- tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I see a problem with this site while viewing the high scores. It seems that people are playing the same puzzle more than once getting to the top spot. As an example, John Larson has the fastest time for puzzle 3 - easy, but he also has the 18th fastest time on the same puzzle.... Kinda defeats the purpose of a highscore table if people
can just cheat.
http://www.sudokucraving.com/stats.php?id=3 to see what I'm talking about.
Not sure why but digg isn't linking it properly, if you copy/paste it into your browser window it works fine. - e3mw, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4This
Is
Awesome.
There goes my productivity. - rodbibeau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This one is LAME.
for a good one with lots of nice features (checking, pause, random puzzle generation, pencil marks)

http://www.websudoku.com/ - peterjhill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1bad bad sodoku site... the one I was given had multiple correct solutions, but they only wanted one specific solution. They did not have enough clues to allow for only a single solution. bad bad bad. That does not make it harder, it makes it a poor sodoku generator
- Leech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1www.ironsudoku.com rules..
- cyssero, on 04/18/2009, -0/+1To be honest, I don't have a single problem with Internet Exporer either. I've never suffered from an exploit as a result of using it. Infact the only reason I use Firefox is thanks to the extensions that I can get for it, and of course, tabbing (I know IE7 has tabs, but at this point they're very unfriendly.)
Still, I should be punished for adding to the discussion of a browser war. Let's stay on topic people! Hypocracy indeed =) - adamlyttle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sorry guys, I was just updating the site and this happened. It only occured for a few moments but it seems that lots of people are using it and picked up on the bug.... Sorry :(
- vhold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I never played Sudoku before today with the Nintendo DS 'Brain Age' game. On the DS you play it by zooming in on squares on one screen and writing the numbers in, it works really well. I wouldn't really want to play it any other way.
What's particularly cool is that you can write the number small, and it will put it in as a "possible answer" instead of what you are saying is -the- answer. - WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2like what? a 4X4 square in base 4? lol 1,2,3,or 4s
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wish they had smaller sodukus, for those that just want a quicky.
- white, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i've been on ironsudoku for a long time now, but they just made it so ppl who don't pay don't get features (i.e. saving a game is very important) which sucks monkey butt. thanks for this substitute. in the words of alex albrecht, sex.
- norbiu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1heh, no more printing! Thanks man!
- kingsway, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i found the same thing, i typed in all 4's and it congratulated me. stupid site.
- cg0def, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1EDIT: sorry a repeate of what other people have discovered
- thedonmagic1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Http://www.YouDoku.com. New website that incorporates random Youtube videos with a challenginging game of Sudoku. And you can play a new game anytime you want. No need to wait a whole day!
- jeedee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There is no such thing as Web 2.0, peoples just discovered new javascript techniques and got excited. IronSudoku.com is nice as well
