- exhale100, on 11/11/2009, -3/+77Don't forget to put Dragon Age adverts all over it.
- Intertron, on 11/11/2009, -7/+37It's like vomit, but for feet.
- iloveburritos, on 11/11/2009, -1/+24What is wrong with the Digg community? You are all angry at the world. Digg is trying to do something nice and you twist it around to make it seem like they are doing something horrible.
- volksport, on 11/11/2009, -5/+28I would wear these shoes on my feet.
- zaduma, on 11/11/2009, -2/+25$54... Damn shoe prices, you scary.
- ThaDRD, on 11/11/2009, -0/+19With less space for your foot.
- mannymix03, on 11/11/2009, -7/+22am i the only one who thinks toms are terribly ugly and incredibly overpriced?
- TWillz, on 11/11/2009, -0/+14Yo Dawg! I herd you like to wear shoes while you digg, so I put some digg in yo shoes!
- soBoredinNJ, on 11/11/2009, -9/+22I wouldn't.
- bilbravo, on 11/11/2009, -8/+20They look like slippers. And lame.
- eatporktoo, on 11/11/2009, -2/+13I understand that this is a good cause, but damn are those shoes ugly... I was thinking the digg shoe would be more of a skater shoe personally...
- ryanpc, on 11/11/2009, -2/+11Where would you wear them?
- muleskinner, on 11/11/2009, -1/+10part of the price is to cover a pair for donation...
- oedenfield, on 11/11/2009, -2/+10so now a poor kid gets to be unsatisfied with his shoes too?
- jonmlm, on 11/11/2009, -8/+16this is a joke, right?
- danhauk, on 11/11/2009, -1/+8Context clues tell me yes.
- tacojohn48, on 11/11/2009, -1/+8This story reminded me of something that the college department at my church did recently. They asked the students at the service to give up there shoes for people in a village in Haiti. They didn't ask them to bring in shoes; they asked for the shoes off their feet. Check out the video of something like 600 college students giving the shoes off their feet and the shoes being delivered to the village at http://insidethewalk.org/blog/ The next week they were asked to bring $3 each to help build a wall at an orphanage. They expected to raise about $3000; instead they raised over $7000.
- Plan8Podcast, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5Yes it is this Danny Trinh, only a boy this crazy would design a shoe like this.

- BrownieMix, on 11/11/2009, -0/+5Only if I can use them in Gym class.
- muleskinner, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4This is cool. These shoes wouldn't fit my style very well, but they will make a good gift for my cousins.
- Rodik, on 11/11/2009, -5/+9My friends would alienate me for this one...
- zephc, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Size 18 wide? Are you related to Peggy Hill?
- RealmDown, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3If you wore them anywhere else, they'd chafe.
- boneill428, on 11/11/2009, -2/+5Is that the same Danny Trinh of http://dannytrinh.com
- Elranzer, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3That's because you're not a guy.
- jhodsdon, on 11/11/2009, -4/+6The D Train designs some sexy shoes.
- chops76, on 11/11/2009, -1/+3I'm guessing they only come in sizes that power diggers or stick figures wear.
- zephc, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2They look like kung fu shoes http://www.martialartssupplies.com/kungfushoes.htm ... but way more expensive. I hope they hold together better
- Elranzer, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2Well it was either this or Kevin dust off his moneymaker and hit downtown SF.
- masterc, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2I heard you can use ShoeAdBlock, and it'll get rid of the Dragon Age ad. Only downside is that your shoes will be black from where the ad used to be.
- vampvan, on 11/12/2009, -1/+3I think digg should now add a menu item in their navigation titled "Philanthropy/Social Causes" or "Social Responsibility" I need one to keep track of socially responsible news.
- Carrie76, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2Nope sure not.
- compacho, on 11/12/2009, -0/+2Who care's what they think? Where what you like.
- darkfus, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2Those kids in the video look like they're kicking around a small animal.
- Plan8Podcast, on 11/11/2009, -0/+2I actually kinda like these shoes. Simple design and when most shoes I find in my size look well just as bad i guess my tastes are lowered. I live on the East coast in Maryland near Baltimore. So he have a few outlets but not unless i want to be dressed to the 9s in WASP American Eagle / Ambercrombi Fitch crap. But i wish i could get these here pumas in my size.

- SoCalChris, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1I'm in the exact same position. Same show size and, I'm just 2 inches shorter.
I used to have to drive to the Nike factory outlet to buy shoes, they usually stocked a good selection of their large sizes. I quit buying Nike though when all of their shoes started to look like ass. Vans are comfortable, when you can find them in stock. If you're in Southern California, the Van's store in Norwalk usually had a better selection of large shoes that the other stores for some reason. That was several years ago, I have no idea if that's still the case. In high school, I had to special order football cleats directly from Reebok. They fit nicely, but were expensive.
I almost always wear New Balance or Propet hiking boots (Used to be sold by Cabelas, I can only find them on Zappos now). I also have flat, Fred Flintstone feet so even shoes that fit aren't usually comfortable. It sucks.
And no, I wouldn't wear these ugly shoes, even if they came in my size. - l1tay2, on 11/11/2009, -2/+3I love TOMMMSSSSS!!
- Plan8Podcast, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1I'm 6 foot 5, 270lb Mesomorph build. Actually the size fluctuates depending on how the manufacturer cuts them. Reeboks are usually a 18EE, Nike at 16w, Vans (which only have 1 type of shoe) are 16EE. But they always have the worst designs for any shoes past 14 I feel relegating me to crap city for any sort of cool kicks.
- Fallooza, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1i would buy a poor kid milk cartons ta put over these shoes.
- Egress99, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1This is a pretty cool partnership. Now we need to find a pant store that does that too, kids can't run around with just shoes on.
- iloveburritos, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1It's just like the OLPC.
- speedyparker87, on 11/12/2009, -0/+1Thank/screw you for making me feel stupid...
- muleskinner, on 11/11/2009, -0/+1god damn bud, 18w? I thought it was hard finding nice 15's....
- crimsoncs, on 11/19/2009, -0/+1Darn, they are sold old out in my size.. The Digg community must have very large feet!
- Intertron, on 11/11/2009, -2/+2are you hoping your cousins never procreate?
then yes, these are a great gift
they should've just made them nerdy and say Digg all over 'em
this resident of Tatooine look is not good - TomT127, on 11/11/2009, -2/+2Figured they would have a picture of Jon Stewart on them.
