- tonicboy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+90Man, what I would give to have been able to be at the meetings that spawned this monstrosity. That would be a year's worth of entertainment.
- sooperdooper, on 10/12/2007, -10/+90We know you are Rudy. You don't need to sign your name.
- apzdsx, on 10/12/2007, -5/+84I don't know whether to laugh or throw up.
- NoahVail, on 10/12/2007, -4/+65Duuuude! I am hip like a zip. Let's take a trip!
- Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+59Does the website have greeters?
- stupidStan, on 10/12/2007, -8/+65i am not sure why, but I hate Rudy...?
- Sharkee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+58That looks like a 1996 website
- maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -2/+58Oh, that thing was real? I thought it was a JOKE.
- Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -3/+57I want to cringe.

Just... wow. - Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+53The term "lametard" amuses me, on several levels.
- Vive42, on 10/12/2007, -9/+54dude i'm just happy walmart isnt any good at this *****. yet.
- stupidStan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+46"If you're ready to rock back to school harder than ever, you gotta check out this site!"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+48Hey, "home-dog", how's it "crak-in"? Walmart's got "mad game", right, yo?
- Computer_Kid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+43They have an old guy watching the server! :-)
- slater, on 10/12/2007, -7/+49We know you are Rudy. You don't need to sign your name.
- Computer_Kid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+43I thought MySpace pages were bad!
- diggballs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+38Holy *****. That color hurts my mind.
- Dotcommer, on 10/12/2007, -10/+46Tyler also enjoys but is not limited to: Manicures, pedicures, getting his nails done, letting girls draw on him, braiding other girls' hair, wearing women's underwear, and shoving things up his ass.
Bury me if you want, but MAN this kid's gay. - vingt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36OK, "I will mix and match to create my own stule"?!! Really? "STULE"? Is that the end of the digestive process for a mix 'n match diet, perhaps?
- zirtbow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37So this is the result of a project when its outsourced to a 3rd world country. Interesting... Although I have to hand it to them. I thought MySpace was as bad as it gets but then lo and behold Walmart comes out of nowhere to prove me wrong.
- nphp20, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35ROTFL....
"Although summer is fun for relaxing, sun, swimming and travel, I always look forward to heading back to school in the fall. Back to school is always a time where I get excited to see my friends and shop for new clothes. My friends and I like to shop for back to school clothes together, and check out the new fall fashions. School My Way is trying not to be a follower. Mixing student council with academics. Cheerleading with drama. Finding the blend between what I want to do and who I am. Finding my stride."
Tyler apparently enjoys shopping for clothes with his friends and checking out the new fall fashions. Awesome. - Matt-lars, on 10/12/2007, -4/+37I think we just found the WMD's
- putnam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+331. I tried to sign up with a fake account, but put that I'm 20 years old. When I tried to make a page, I saw beautiful red-on-blue text that said "You are ineligable" You'd think they'd at least spell 'eligible' correctly.
2. After consulting someone of the right age and having them create a page on my computer, we can't get paste step 2 to make a page. It just goes nowhere.
3. The preferences link at the top right doesn't do anything. White page.
4. Try searching for common names like Chris or John. There must be a total of 4 pages on the whole site, all of which were clearly made by people at Wal-Mart.
5. http://schoolyourway.walmart.com/index.php/tv_spots -- They are actually spending real money on TV commercials for this dog *****. For the cost of ONE commercial spot at 4AM on any cable network, they could have produced a site 100x better than this (but they still would fail).
This is a ***** joke. Absolutely embarrassing. - JavertHolmes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33Maybe I'm overly cynical but I wonder if the purpose of "The Hub" was to make an intentionally bad website just to get into the headspace of people who don't normally think of Wal-Mart on a daily basis.
If it was their intention then they've definitely got the attention of the key young demographic, who I'm sure are busy blasting this site left and right on their blogs, etc, all the while getting people to visit and start thinking about Wal-Mart. - Stikes, on 10/12/2007, -4/+36ew. walmart.
- bflfab, on 10/12/2007, -5/+37Dugg because of "lametard adult"
- NoahVail, on 10/12/2007, -5/+36I think I hate him, too. (Still Laughing...)
- Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32My PAge
i like Wal Mart - Berkowitz1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30"My mom and I enjoy shopping at Wal-Mart because I can find cool jeans, t-shirts, matching socks, caps and a new knapsack."
Matching socks? No way!! - Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32From the FAQ:
"WHO’S BEHIND THIS GENIUS WEB DESTINATION?
The guys from Wal-Mart and Sony® teamed up to bring you all the sweet stuff you’ll find on the HUB!"
Sony again?? BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! - Midas7g, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30No such thing as bad publicity, I guess.
In other news... Snakes on a Plane is coming out next month!! OMG OMG! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+37I hate this "rudy" character too, even thought I've never met him either. It's incredibly pretentious (downright douchey) of someone to "sign" their comments on an Internet message board, especially when that person already has their name in their login.
Note how your comments are quickly modded down :) - aftk2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29The best critique of this site that I've seen has to be Ze Frank's:
http://www.zefrank.com/theshow/archives/2006/07/072006.html
Seriously, what _do_ products and clothing have to do with "school my way." - lukee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27http://schoolyourway.walmart.com/index.php/HubsterPage/12801082
my god. - RaggTopp, on 10/12/2007, -4/+31
-RaggTopp - RaggTopp, on 10/12/2007, -7/+33Nope, I vote for douchebaggery on the signing your comments, sorry. That's downright lame.
Ok it's not JUST the signing the name isn't what's lame, it's the haughty attitude, and attempt to look sophisticated, COMBINED with the signing of the name, that screams douchebag.
Anytime you make a comment that pertains to "look how special I am" you look like a douchebag...........the sig in a comment section just seals the deal.
Oh and people DO sig FORUM posts, but this my friend is not a forum. This is a "blog," that allows comments to be posted on the articles. I just did a quick check of FIVE diggs with at least 50 comments each, and not ONE of them had a comment where someone signed their name. Common place to sign comments eh? You're either trying to convince others to "your side" with misinformation, or you're an idiot.
Nothing screams more ignorance than making a generalization that isn't even true.
Oh look, no signature.
BTW, the spellcheck doesn't like the word Douchebag........heh - kimos, on 10/12/2007, -6/+32Most people don't like forum signatures. I turn them off whenever I can.
There is no need to "sign" your name at the bottom of two word posts. Makes you look dumb...
*thumbs down* - Corr0sive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27I cringe even more when i notice the "new style" is the 80's... And it saddens me when i see my girlfriend wearing a belt with a skirt. We need some new styles. When will it end?
- stupidStan, on 10/12/2007, -6/+32"WE GOT MOTHER F$*@ING SNAKES ON A MOTHER F@#$ING PLANE!!!"
-Samuel L. Jackson...
(you know you are cool when everyone knows your middle initial!) - easycheez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Grow them Wal-Mart shoppers from the womb. I hope Sam Walton is turning in his grave on this one. Dugg for decreasing my already low respect for Wal-Mart.
- stupidStan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27i rhink we are too old/not retarded enough
- zeldafan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25It is a Joke, a really really bad one.
- drgordonfreeman, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27The worst part is the fake "girl" page/video is offensively stereotypical. GIRLS LIKE CLOTHES RIGHT??
- Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -3/+25HOOOOLLLYYY SHIIIIT
Guess who is behind this one.... from the faq section "WHO’S BEHIND THIS GENIUS WEB DESTINATION? Wal-Mart and Sony" - flash200, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22They want the perception that the pages are created by real people, but they don't want real people creating pages.
- Depthfunction, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21The corporate-minded "lametard adults" will always fail in their effort to be "cool". No matter how hard they try, they will never succeed. I believe the Simpsons best described the dilemma:
Homer: You know what the song says: "It's hip to be square."
Lisa: That song is so lame.
Homer: So lame that it's... cool?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Am I cool, kids?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Good. I'm glad. And that's what makes me cool--not caring, right?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Well, how the hell do you be cool? I feel like we've tried
everything here.
Homer: Wait, Marge. Maybe if you're truly cool, you don't need to
be told you're cool.
Bart: Well, sure you do.
Lisa: How else would you know? - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20"I will mix and match to create my own stule"
