Usually the military has sims that are a few years behind graphically. The A1 Abrams sims being a good example. They got the 7 million dollar booths but the graphics look like they're circa 1994. Up until now the aircraft simulators were just as behind. I'm glad the military finally got ahead of the gamers in the simulation department.

It uses rear projection, the semi-spherical chamber is smaller, but overall it's still pretty cool. Main advantage is peripheral vision coming into play.

That was just about the dumbest comment I have ever seen on Digg; and that's saying something. How could you possibly equate this awesome projector system to "PURE EVIL". - b0wl0fud0n, on 10/28/2007, -1/+6If I were to design the system, I'd be choosing Windows as well, only because the video card drivers for Linux just haven't caught up to Windows drivers yet.
- neodorian, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5I agree with the first part but it seems like lately, us guys with the best war tech seem to be doing an awful lot of taking the *****, screwing the wife, and killing the kids. It's almost like we've stooped to the level of our enemies in order to fight them. Still, we have 9-projector systems.
