- bigbill780, on 05/14/2008, -1/+16I feel if I digg Digg I might start some sort of geek paradox.
- Maurina, on 05/14/2008, -3/+15It'd be pretty sick to work in the Apple Marketing section, making those awesome and totally relevant commercials.
Oh wait, no it wouldn't. - solidus23, on 05/14/2008, -0/+10Wow.. I work in a ***** :(
- bffoley, on 05/14/2008, -0/+9I doubt Apple makes those commercials in-house, they probably contract it out to an ad firm. Most marketing departments work like this:
Ad firm representative: Hey, lets do a commercial where silhouettes dance around wearing iPods!
Apple Marketing Manager: Yea whatever. *goes back to doing sudoku puzzle*
*Ad becomes big hit*
*Marketing Manager gets big bonus, buys another sudoku book* - dpcamp, on 05/14/2008, -2/+10why couldn't this have been on 1 page??
- gwaggy12, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7Man, when I graduated, I was told that we'd all receive our obligatory cubicle and horrific florescent lighting. All this "working from home" and "cool exposed cielings" is just too much. What happened to the good old days?!?!
- jiqiren, on 05/14/2008, -1/+7What the hell is up with IAC getting a video? The should have used our digg lip-sync:
http://www.vimeo.com/928615 - kjames00, on 05/14/2008, -1/+6Pixar has an insane workspace!
- synyster, on 05/14/2008, -0/+5google?
- madtowntechno, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4I work for a software company and our office is better than all of these, except for probably Google. We have an enormous 2 story tree house out in the woods where we can hold meetings.
- sodade, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4***** all of these places. The best tech workspace is in your own home office. Commuting to a tech job is barbaric.
- zenoz, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4What was the place with the giant slide instead of stairs? That looked so much fun.
- brandonhardee, on 05/14/2008, -3/+6dugg for the fridge of beer
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4I can't believe IBM in RTP did not make the worst 10 list. Everyone's paired up in cramped offices with chairs bought at a 1980's government auction and the constant threat of a pink slip any minute. Comforting.
- KevinJim, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4Some apps are really awesome like BioWallet but some other might be a bit "dangerous".
FTA:"Commandro - Commandro shows where are your friends REALLY are and what they’re doing at the moment. Using GPS location information, it will display 100% true real-life event and location information with regards to you and your friends. By Alex Pisarev, Andrey Tapekha."
This is a possible scenario:
Dude A: - Hey dude, where are you ?
Dude B: - Ah... you know... out, shopping
Dude A: - At my girlfriend's house ?
Dude B: - Damn it Google, *****... - DigablePlanet, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3Etsy looks like a frat house
- goonerzilla, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3I wonder how RIAA's workspace looks like.
Update: ***** the RIAA - Scotty87, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3the Googleplex is very impressive but honestly... I prefere working from home than having to commute to work everyday... I vote for 11 - Working from Home :)
- techwrekfix, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2Hey, why didn't my office make the list. I work in the basement of a hospital next to the morgue. who need a view when you can have the smell of death all day.
- leerayIG88, on 05/14/2008, -1/+3I work at Hooters. I cannot stop masturbating when I go to the bathroom.
- MacTyler, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2wow that was probably one of the dumbest parodies I have ever heard. The first line ruined the rest for me.
- BufordT, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2The Googleplex looks like the makins for some strange Fox reality show.
- hovester, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3Be happy you have an Office Space at all.
- flair1, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2you forgot the leaky roofs and mold problem at IBM in RTP. These buildings were factories in the 1950s, and they did a crappy job converting them to offices.
- louiemantia, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2Most of their advertising is done by TBWA Chiat Day.
- galvo, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4Yeah I'd like to apply for a job at Digg..
- justjeninsf, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2have to admit the Digg office is pretty sweet - even if we're outgrowing the space.
- aladrin, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2We don't have beer in the fridge or a pool table where I work, but I don't consider those things that I want to do at work anyhow. I like to get my work done and then go leave and go have fun. Only a few of these showed the actual workspaces, and they're pretty much like what we have here... Nothing special.
- hovester, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2You, everybody else and their grandma....
- kickelephant, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2Or, they borrowed the "silhouette" idea from design students. True story.
- kru1e, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2Pixar. They have WALL-E
- faceless323, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1i see what you did there
- bejitt, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2dugg for digg's DigDug
... dug diddy dug dig dug - mserna23, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2How many times has this article been on the digg homepage??? It's been like once a week the past 3 weeks or so.
- Aerandir, on 05/14/2008, -2/+3Digg's "Meeting Room" FTW.
- Wesside, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1less adsense then?
- AmazingToaster, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Why wouldn't I vote for a fridge with beer?
- pw378, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Google's Zurich office... also a firepole.
- falkonv7l, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1I work in a double wide trailer with 26 other engineers
- removesstains, on 05/14/2008, -1/+1No matter which of those locations i worked in, if i still have the same Job i have now. They would all suck as much as my current location.
- SwordofKahless, on 05/14/2008, -1/+1Titile correction: "Vote - Tech's 10 Best Workspaces For Corporate Slaves"
- wrathbone, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0dag
- mydave, on 08/12/2008, -0/+0mmmmmmmmm some kind of new hobby?
http://search.ashtech.info/tech%20news - Huangism, on 05/14/2008, -1/+1buried for "top whatever"
- c7fanboy, on 05/14/2008, -1/+0Obviously the best place to work is Centaur Technology in Austin, TX! Digg it up!
- hiPpymIck, on 05/14/2008, -3/+2if youre sure youre not just having a bad day..
go for it and good luck - insonh, on 05/14/2008, -9/+5i hate my Office Space
my boss always wants me to come in on weekends
i get hassled because i forget to add the god damn cover sheet to my reports they company just hired these 2 consultant's to "cut corners" and get this, both of their names are Bob
i got a meeting with "the Bobs" in about 15 min and to tell you the truth i don't care if they get rid of me, in fact i think I'm going to go in their and tell them exactly what i think of this company.
after that i'm going accross the street to ask this waitress out that i like - KonstantinLevin, on 05/14/2008, -14/+2Vote for Digg!
