Vonage hangs up on Verizon patent infringement with new agreement

arstechnica.com — Vonage has signed an agreement with a VoIP network services provider to carry calls placed by Vonage customers, giving the troubled VoIP provider an out on two of the three Verizon patents it was found to have infringed. According to a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Vonage and VoIP, Inc.

  • DoctaStooge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They have to disconnect their customers for VoIP to PSTN calls. IP to IP isn't covered in the patents. But since IP to PSTN is a big chunk of business for most VoIP companies...
