- yocouchdigga, on 01/23/2009, -0/+22BabyMan magic
I heard he sacrifices kittens. Someone confirm? - RustySparks, on 01/22/2009, -1/+22that was astonishing. wonder how they knew that those tweets had a 'positive attitude' though...
- MalharP16, on 01/23/2009, -3/+10Enough with the MrBabyMan crap. This is a interesting post.
- newl, on 01/23/2009, -0/+7Kinda hard to visualize it when the map images aren't shown in IE or Firefox.
- Evolve, on 01/23/2009, -0/+6Is that a few Twitters from New Zealand down there in the bottom right corner?
... Whoa ... - nixpix66, on 01/23/2009, -1/+6I miss mr Snuggles!!!!!..... :(
- seldon452, on 01/23/2009, -3/+7This makes me want to play DEFCON
- socoolisme, on 01/23/2009, -1/+5OH, SNAP!
- inactive, on 01/23/2009, -0/+4Noteworthy that Europe on whole seemed to have more interest than certain "red states" in America.
- PamalaLauren, on 01/23/2009, -0/+4Seems like the middle of the country just didn't care about the Inauguration. Of course they may not use Twitter.
- Xyhthyx, on 01/23/2009, -0/+4God I'm sick of Twitter Diggs.
- aussieaubs, on 01/22/2009, -10/+14nice, but I cant help thinking that I was watching a scene from War Games!.....
... interesting nonetheless.....but I would have thought there would have been a tonne more blinks. - WaywardOne1, on 01/23/2009, -0/+4<sarcasm> Awesome. No 'Replay' button at the end. Map of the world is so black that it wasn't obvious to me that it had the Google Maps interface going. </sarcasm>
- Garciat, on 01/23/2009, -2/+6I get blue random dots on a black background: http://arch.kimag.es/share/7357072.png
- bencanfield, on 01/23/2009, -0/+4Use your imagination.
- dafragsta, on 01/23/2009, -0/+3They don't have internet yet. They have to go to Russia to use it.
- crazzy88ss, on 01/23/2009, -0/+3There's also WAY less people living in the middle than on the coasts.
- jcsoc, on 01/23/2009, -1/+4buried for twitter
- inactive, on 01/23/2009, -1/+4It's under 9000.
- inactive, on 01/23/2009, -1/+4MrBuryMan
- inactive, on 01/23/2009, -1/+4are we still fascinated with twitter? Why?
- inactive, on 02/25/2009, -0/+3same here
- BobTheTaco, on 01/23/2009, -0/+3Looks like someone was bombing the US during the inauguration.
- macewan, on 01/23/2009, -0/+2I kept clicking thinking there was more insight.
- RodBorn, on 01/23/2009, -0/+2Looks like ma and pa Kettle in the plains of Nebraska ain't heard of the Twitter trend yet.
Lucky them. - assbeard, on 01/23/2009, -3/+5interesting to see how much use twitter gets
- Lillebakken, on 01/23/2009, -0/+2I'm surprised so many people managed to spell inauguration correctly.
- annierose, on 01/23/2009, -0/+2so many pretty blue dots
- HonoredMule, on 01/23/2009, -0/+2Who would have expected so strong a correlation between using twitter+taking interest in the inauguration and living on the eastern seaboard? Was the west coast silent because it generally dislikes Obama, or just doesn't use Twitter as much?
- Megadeth222, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1are there people in montana?
- josepablos, on 01/23/2009, -3/+4Twitter Suck.. and HARD!
- adkenc, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1i didn't see mine on there, but i think it was either the frown or the misspelling of inauguration. but i'm sure it would have counted with no smiley and spelled right.
http://twitter.com/adkenc/status/1133342302
btw "happy obama day" was a trending topic keyword on twitter on election day. - inactive, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1more insight...? No way, we're talking Twitter here
- UselessTrivia, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1I have a feeling that this was a "each dot represents 1000 tweets" type of thing. Not enough high population areas in Montana for many dots.
Either way it had to be "positive attitude". Montana is a pretty red state, so they might not be Obama fans up there. - inactive, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1Put Twitter in the *****
- Ajaynow, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1Looks like there's no Twitting in Montana?
- bencanfield, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1I thought it was really lame until I noticed the date was the 19th. Then I waited a second and, BOOM!
- DavidGX, on 01/23/2009, -3/+4babyman = buried as spam.
- jhoogy, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1Yeah that's what I thought then I also thought maybe its one of those maps that NZ is missing and it is Australia instead
- shrontzy, on 01/23/2009, -0/+1Nothing in Chrome either.
- traxen, on 01/23/2009, -2/+3That was just awesome..
- joank, on 01/23/2009, -1/+1I think it has more to do with computer ownership and internet access rates, rather than political interest. Remember that just because the majority of convicts tend to have big feet, it doesn't mean that a person with big feet is likely to be a convict, it just means that grandma is not as likely to be convicted of assault.
- RepublicofJosh, on 01/23/2009, -1/+1rubbed***
- adkenc, on 01/23/2009, -1/+1lol, i think i'm not on here because i misspelled inauguration. damn you, bush! you rabbed off on me.
- MKeks, on 01/23/2009, -1/+1How did they expect people in South America or Europe (apart from the UK and Ireland) to use the English word "inauguration"? This should have been a US-only map.
- kaosethema, on 01/23/2009, -3/+2that was mesmerizing, counting down to noon on January 20th.
BTW: Before I dugg this very interesting post, i went looking for a similar post from a less-familiar digger - inactive, on 01/23/2009, -4/+3Do we really need a front page story every damn time people cover a big event on twitter?
